Shilin Travel Guide
Shilin Yi Autonomous County is located in the southeastern part of Kunming City. It was formerly known as Lunan Yi Autonomous County and was renamed for the UNESCO World Heritage site, Shilin (Stone Forest) geological park, in the region. Shilin is an important tourist county in Yunnan with a unique and remarkable karst landform. The Shilin National Scenic Area spans a wide range, including large and small stone forests, Dadieshui Waterfall and the Long Lake. Shilin Snow Ice and Ocean World is also built in the area, with a large aquarium and an indoor ski resort.
