Easy check-in, staff are easily contactable. If you are arriving after front desk hours, just give them a call. Easily instructions will be given.
Room is spacious. TV has the lodge's netflix account, so you may want to check in early :))
Only concern is door lock is one-way, recommend owner to consider better locks since right outside of the room door is the car park.
We stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch. All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel.
The service was second to none.
Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay.
We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people.
We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel
Nice accommodation in a private house. The access code for the front door and the room door had to be requested over the phone. Since I had not yet activated a New Zealand SIM card, I drove to a coffee house that was open on Sunday and asked the employee to call the number provided on his phone.

There is a big bed, a bathroom and a bathtub upstairs, and two single beds, a kitchen, bathroom and shower downstairs. The backyard is Lake Taupo, the view and accommodation are very good, the kitchen utensils are very complete, the landlord gave me milk as a gift, but there is no screen on the window in summer, so there are many small flying insects.
Close to all our planned activities - Hahei beach (5min walk), Hot Water Beach (8min drive), Cathedral Cove (10min walk to starting point)
The room was clean, and there was a heater but unfortunately we couldn’t use it as the powerpoint was not working. But we were still warm despite it being winter. One thing is there was no hot water for shower.
The kitchen was clean, well stocked with cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and pans (also rice cookers!). Also basic ingredients like oil, sugar, salt.
There were shovels to borrow for the beach which was very useful! We enjoyed our stay here.
We were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, tidy, and really well presented. The bathroom was really big, and the shower was awesome. We were a bit worried about traffic noise as it's on a busy road and next to a BP station, but once the windows were closed, it was so quiet. You honestly couldn't hear anything. You do have to go to another motel to book inn, which isn't a problem, but it should be mentioned when you make your booking. Will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserThe public area is clean, the location is not far from the central area, and it is very convenient for self-driving tours. The basic facilities are simple but neat and clean. It is very comfortable in autumn, and it may be a bit hot in summer because there is no air conditioning in the room. Overall, I am very satisfied.

VVanessa 王The hotel is in a quiet location, with simple facilities. There is no TV and private kitchen, only a public kitchen, which we think is not hygienic enough and useless. The good thing is that there are two breakfast and dinner restaurants next to it. The food in the COFFEE breakfast restaurant is very good, and the service is also very good. It is not expensive and worth tasting; However, Asians should be more careful when eating at Tomo Bar. We went there for more than an hour and we were not served. The three foreign tables that came later than us were served before us. After I confirmed that they served the dishes in the order of arrival time, I was very dissatisfied and went to find them. They saw that I was a little angry, and served all the dishes in less than two minutes. They threw the newspaper I ordered on the ground, and neither apologized nor gave me a new one. I gave them a five-star review on Google as soon as I went there. At this time, they only cleared the tableware for the foreign table, and pretended not to see the empty wine glasses we drank. At the end, there was no polite language when they went to clear the tableware. I think they can negotiate what kind of guests they don’t welcome and don’t charge us. We also hate to eat in places like them, which lowers our emotional value.

AAnonymous UserGreat location, excellent pitstop for trips along Coromandel. Ample parking spots for those who are driving or on road trips.
Only downside was the WiFi, as it was rather unstable.
