Hotel had everything we needed and the staffs were really nice! It is also very near a metro station, supermarket, and good food.
Only down side is that the carpet is slightly stained (might be hard to maintain), otherwise all other facilities was really clean and nice. Also note that it might not be for light sleepers as the road sounds are loud and every hour you’ll get big honking/sirens wailing.
The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the Danube River in Buda. It's very close to major attractions like Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle, all within a 10-15 minute walk. In the evenings, strolling along the Danube is a must, as the scenery on both banks is absolutely beautiful. There's also a bus stop less than a 5-minute walk away, where you can buy single-use or multi-day travel passes, which is incredibly convenient for independent travelers.
The rooms, while not spacious, are clean and well-maintained. However, I wouldn't recommend booking a room with a balcony. The balconies are small, very close to neighboring ones, and lack any partitions, meaning zero privacy.
Breakfast was decent, and the Greek yogurt was particularly delicious. Plus, on the ground floor, fruit tea and hot water are available all day, which was a very convenient touch.
The hotel generally felt quite dated. We stayed on the 6th floor, and the showerhead couldn't be fixed to the wall, which made showering very inconvenient. After the first night of our two-night stay, we spoke with the staff, and thankfully, they moved us to a different room. The breakfast area has two sections. If guest numbers are low, only section B is open, which results in a rather limited and mediocre breakfast spread. Section A was a bit more acceptable. While walking to tourist attractions was quite a distance, bus access was convenient.
I had a wonderful experience staying at the Danubius Hotel Hungaria City Center. The location was perfect — close to the city center and very convenient for public transportation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again on my next visit to Budapest!
Lovely hotel with well appointed rooms and nice staff. Only two issues-the room we had on the 5th floor was noisy with a lot of sirens on the street outside for much of the night.
The second point was our deal included a drink for each of us every night of our stay but the bar wasn’t even open on the first two nights. A minor point but nobody from the hotel offered to put that right.
Would I stay here again-probably yes.
This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple.
Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee.
I would recommend!
Many Thanks :)
Having just returned from Madrid, Spain, I found this place incredibly spacious, authentically European in style, and very cozy by comparison. Although there was a minor hiccup – a curtain fixture accidentally fell off the wall, likely due to the building's age – I still quite liked its classic charm. Moreover, the building's location is superb, right at the entrance of a major metro hub. You can get off the airport express, cross the road, and be at the hotel – absolutely no need for a taxi for check-in. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally elegant and polite, making it feel akin to staying at Shanghai's legendary Peace Hotel.
Overall, a good stay.
Pros:
In-unit washer, clothes-drying rack, and cooking facilities.
Spacious layout with a living area (table and sofa), bathroom, and bedroom all within one unit.
Reception staff were responsive and friendly.
Convenient location, close to bus and tram routes, supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes.
Access to the Anantara lobby and gym — I really loved the grand lobby.
Privilege of accessing the New York Cafe without waiting, just like Anantara guests, since the two hotels and the cafe belong to the same group. The cafe’s interior design and live music, in my opinion, were worth the inflated food prices haha.
Cons:
Housekeeping was not very detail-oriented. I noticed traces of dirt on the floor, mirror, bathroom, carpet, inside the wardrobe, and under the bed. To be fair, these are not areas I usually interact with closely, but they were noticeable.
The cleaners I interacted with did not communicate well in English and appeared less enthusiastic. Cleaning was missed one day.
My room faced an inner courtyard and was very quiet, but rooms facing the road may be noisy.

The hotel is located near to river, metro station, tram line and food street. The bed is comfortable. There is a large supermarket nearby, located in basement of the old market building. The main train station at Keleti is 3 stops from Fovam Terrace station.

The hotel room is clean and comfortable. We chose this hotel as the location is near to the Pier where we will board our Danube cruise. The room has a nice view of the river. The hotel facilities are good, service is attentive, receptionist is helpful.
Location is good, very close to Buda Castle funicular and Chain bridge. Some of the popular tourists attractions can be reached by walking for about 20 mins or more, otherwise there is a bus stop 2 mins away from the hotel. The room is clean & decent size although the decors & furniture are a bit dated. All staff especially on the reception desk are accommodating, approachable & professional. Breakfast buffet is just ok.
We had a really nice stay — it truly felt like home! The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was kind and responsive, which made the experience even better. One small suggestion though: it would be great to include a short video or clip with the instructions (like check-in steps or how to use certain appliances). It would make it easier to follow rather than reading through a long list of directions. Overall, a warm and pleasant stay that we’d definitely recommend!
The hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car.
Nice and friendly staff, spacious and comfortable room, I love the balcony! Also convenient location, easy to go to metro and tram station, very good The only thing need is that appliances are a bit old and the oven is not clean enough (but I didn’t need to use lol)
We stayed for five nights and welcomed the New Year there. Park Plaza Budapest has a perfect location with an amazing view of the Parliament, Chain Bridge, and the Danube River. It’s very accessible by tram and bus and close to major attractions and tourist spots, including the monastery, church, and Fisherman’s Bastion. The room was huge and very comfortable. The downside is that they should check the shower heads and toilet light bulbs before guests arrive — ours broke during use, though they were fixed and replaced quickly. Housekeeping mainly took out the trash but did not change the beddings, and there were stains on the carpet. We were expecting grand fireworks for New Year’s, but they were not as impressive as expected. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I was pleasantly surprised that they even included white rice at breakfast.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “We had an amazing stay at Hotel President! The location is perfect—just a short walk to St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Danube, and many great restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and assistance whenever we needed it. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety, and the service made it even better. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the rooftop terrace with its beautiful views of the city—it made our trip even more special. We truly felt at home here and will definitely choose Hotel President again on our next visit to Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a central location!”
