Seeing this once in a lifetime is enough. The place is huge. Lots of ice sculptures and at night it is beautifully lit. There are dining halls but located at one corner only so if you are far end, you need to walk very far just to dine or rest. It is a MUST to have a local Chinese number to book any of the 3 main rides: Ferris wheel, 500m slide, 250m slide. My partner and I tried to book on WeChat and if you do not have a local number, it is not allowed. The place is really cold. So please wear appropriately. Double gloves and socks (if heated even better) is a must!!! I can't stay too long in there but managed to spend about 5 hours there.

It was just ice, ice cube, ice statue, ice slide, very cold and very very cold, freezing with no proper place to seat or have a rest (break) from freezing cold weather, even their resto and cafe was always full. Maybe i will not return. O ya you can rent power bank here, no charger station here.

Harbin Ice And Snow World Festival is a must do when you visit Harbin ! Overall it's nice but while inside the festival we didn't manage to book any slots for some of the activities like the big wheel or the giant slide due to very very long queues.

A fun freezing day! Lots to do and see. Once it gets dark and the lights turn off you have to check out everything again! Once you are in the main gates you can sign up for the “big attractions”. They open up a certain amount of slots every hour on the hour so you have to be quick to sign up.

The room layout is well-designed and it's surprisingly quiet despite being in a lively area. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get to all the main attractions. Breakfast runs until noon, which is perfect for late risers! All the staff are incredibly friendly and always quick to help with any issues. You can even screen mirror to the TV! The only downside was that the underfloor heating was too warm... Everything else was great, the staff were super enthusiastic, and the location was excellent, making it easy to hail a taxi. They proactively helped with luggage when we came and went, and were very kind to the children. When we mentioned the heating issue, the staff even offered us popsicles, which we loved!

Manxiang Jiangyin Comfy Sleep Double Bed Room (Smart Guest Control + DeRUCCI Mattress + Mobile Screen Casting + Humidifier)
Stayed at the hotel for a two-night, three-day trip, and here's my overall impression for your reference: ✅ Highlights: Cleanliness met standards: Bedding was odor-free and changed promptly, bathroom counter was spotless with no water stains, and towels were fluffy and dry ("toilet seat had a sanitization seal"). Practical facilities: A/C and hot water were quick to respond, WiFi signal was full, and the mattress was medium-firm (suitable for those who prefer a harder bed). Attentive service: Front desk check-in was efficient. The lobby attendant was incredibly helpful; he single-handedly carried two 28-inch suitcases up the steps for me... I was truly impressed. Room service for requested items was quick (hangers arrived within 5 minutes). Excellent location: A 7-minute walk from the subway station. ⚠️ Minor drawbacks: Only steps at the entrance, which is inconvenient for guests with suitcases when leaving, as they have to carry them down. 💡 Summary: The pros outweigh the cons. Perfect for travelers seeking a comfortable trip. Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is one of the most satisfying hotels I've stayed at in Harbin. The staff were exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic; they immediately helped with my luggage and offered tea upon arrival, and even gave me a fridge magnet. The male manager, in particular, provided excellent service, though I've forgotten his name. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was great. The hotel's location is also very convenient for getting around!

Executive 2-bed Room
I expected it wouldn't be great, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. It's basically hostel standard, maybe even worse. The hotel is really old. I didn't pay attention when booking, but it was built in 2013, so no wonder. All the facilities are dated, the floorboards creak when you walk on them, the toilet paper is very rough and there's so little of it that we had to use our own. It was snowing outside, and as soon as we entered the room before we could even take off our shoes, the floor was covered in black footprints. We hadn't even settled in and I was already cleaning the floor myself. Over a thousand a night for this is absolutely not worth it. The most unbearable thing was the low ceiling height. It felt like the bottom bunk of a bunk bed – so low it was suffocating. I mentioned it to the front desk, and they said all rooms were like that. They did bring a humidifier, and it felt slightly better once the temperature dropped a bit. We had booked for four nights, but since the first night was non-refundable, we checked in around 6 PM, immediately started looking for another place to stay, then went out. We came back at 10 PM to sleep and packed up and checked out first thing the next morning. Minimizing our time there made it less unbearable. The only advantage is its location; Central Street is right across the road. Someone helped us with our luggage to the car when we checked out, which I appreciated. The service attitude was quite good, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

Supreme Double Bed Room With Humidifier
I had a wonderful stay at Habsburg Hotel near Sofia Church on Harbin’s Central Street. The location is truly unbeatable—just steps away from the iconic St. Sophia Cathedral and right in the heart of the historic Zhongyang (Central) Street pedestrian area. This made it incredibly convenient to explore Harbin’s beautiful European-style architecture, shops, restaurants, and evening lights without needing transportation. The hotel itself has a charming, elegant atmosphere that fits perfectly with the historic surroundings. My room was clean, warm, and comfortable, which was especially appreciated given Harbin’s cold weather. The bed was cozy, the heating worked perfectly, and the room was well-maintained with all the essential amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the view and proximity to Sofia Church—waking up and stepping outside to see such a beautiful landmark was a memorable experience. The hotel also offers great photo spots nearby, especially at night when the area is beautifully illuminated. Breakfast at the hotel was a great way to start the day. The selection was simple but satisfying, with a mix of Chinese and Western options. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and the dining area was comfortable and pleasant in the morning. It was very convenient to enjoy a warm breakfast before heading out to explore Central Street. I would also like to give a special thanks to one of the staff members, Jenny, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She kindly prepared a cute drink for us, which was such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. Her warm service really made our stay feel extra special and added a personal touch to the experience. Another staff member at the laundry room was also extremely kind and helpful. When one of my clothes was accidentally damaged, they patiently helped repair it for me. I really appreciated the effort and kindness—it showed how much the staff care about their guests. Overall, Habsburg Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Harbin who wants to stay in the most iconic and convenient location. It combines comfort, charm, good breakfast, and excellent service with unbeatable access to the city’s most famous attractions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers visiting Harbin.

I recently wrapped up a fantastic stay from March 3rd to March 6th and couldn't be happier with my experience. What truly sets this hotel apart is the team. I want to give a special shout-out to Jenny, Mia, and Nan for their outstanding hospitality and professional service. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I also want to extend my gratitude to the entire staff on duty between March 3rd ~ March 6th. Every interaction was met with a smile and a genuine "can-do" attitude.

The location is great, right across from the cable car station. The hotel service is excellent, and the rooms are really nice. It's perfect for a family trip. My only complaint is that the laundry room is always so busy! Three washers and three dryers are definitely not enough. I suggest adding more laundry machines. The restaurant gets a huge thumbs up. The breakfast spread is amazing, and they even have ice cream! The service there is also top-notch. Oh, and breakfast is served until noon! Big praise, big praise!

Preparations Before visiting Harbin Ice and Snow World

Preparations Before visiting Harbin Ice and Snow World

World's biggest indoor snow and ice park opens in China: Travel ...

Winter Clothing Guide for Harbin

Temperatures in Harbin during winter often hover around -15°C (5°F). To fully enjoy the magical Ice and Snow World, staying warm and comfortable is essential. We highly recommend the "onion" layering method.

Upper Body

  • Base Layer: Start with thermal wear (Heattech) to retain body heat.
  • Middle Layer: Add a warm wool sweater and a down vest.
  • Outer Layer: Choose a waterproof, long-down parka that extends below the knees.

Tip: Since falling in the snow is common, snow can melt on your clothes and make them damp. Selecting a waterproof or water-resistant outer shell is crucial to staying dry and warm.

Lower Body

  • Base Layer: Wear fleece-lined leggings or thick thermal tights.
  • Outer Layer: Opt for fleece-lined jeans or ski pants. Ski pants are highly recommended for Ice and Snow World as they are warm, waterproof, and allow for easy movement.

Essential Accessories

To prevent frostbite and heat loss, don't forget these items:

  • Head & Neck: Earmuffs and a large wool scarf.
  • Hands: Double-layer gloves (a thin knit pair inside waterproof ski gloves).
  • Feet: Thick wool socks paired with high-quality snow boots.

Stay Cozy & Protected

  • Heat Packs: If you are sensitive to the cold, apply adhesive heat patches to your chest, neck, or lower back (be careful of low-temperature burns from prolonged skin contact).
  • Skincare: Bring lip balm and hand cream to combat the extremely dry winter air.
