"Black Rock Oceanfront is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in Canada, It is upscale and luxurious. It is located within walking distance of the Trans Pacific hiking trail and the Lighthouse.
It has a heated outdoor pool.and a hot tub overlooking the ocean, as well as a fitness room. There are two oceanfront restaurants. They offer the same menu. One is more formal while the other has a casual bar-like feel. The food is very good although pricey, like most places in Ucluelet and Tofino.
Our room at the lodge was large. It had a spectacular view of Big Beach and the ocean from the balcony, which was large enough for more than 2 people to sit at. However, you could see and hear your neighbours enjoying their balconies too. There was a large, ultra-modern bathroom with a separate rainfall shower. There was also a 2-person bathtub located next to a covered glass window. If you uncover that window during daylight, you could see the ocean across the room and balcony.
I prefer Ucluelet because it's quieter than Tofino, and would definitely stay at Black Rock Oceanfront again in a heartbeat."
"The loft area features two queen-size beds and two single beds, making it ideal for a family trip.
It’s located near Ucluelet Harbour.
While the room doesn’t have its own kitchen, there is a shared area with kitchenware and a communal table available for visitors.
If you’re planning a trip to Ucluelet or Tofino, this is a great place to stay"
"The hotel has solid amenities, there’s a gym, pool, and a functional kitchen. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable short stay. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a place with complete facilities at a reasonable price.
That said, cleanliness could be better. The room had a dusty smell, and the walls were visibly dusty, which took away from the overall comfort. Some finishes, like the cemented sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, felt a bit unfinished.
Service was okay, staff were polite, though not welcoming. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, which doesn’t give much flexibility.
Overall, a decent stay with good amenities, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness and service."

Great
HHelazhifuTo be honest, I was not surprised. It was normal. Now I think that the price of 3,000 yuan a night is too expensive. I booked it a month in advance. It may be because of the peak season. There are few choices. It is hard to compare with China. The standard of Chinese hotels is still higher.
MMillennial_saysThe overall experience was excellent and exactly what we were looking for. There are a few things to consider before booking this hotel. The hotel restaurant has limited operating hours, and the closest restaurant and town are approximately 10-15 minutes by car. There is a small convenience store across the street that also sells coffee. This hotel is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet.
GGuest UserThe hotel is right by the sea, with a nice environment, but the music started playing around six in the morning, which was too noisy to sleep and it was useless to make phone calls. It felt very bad and needs to be improved.
SShalo LynUpon check in and check out took a few minutes for someone to come to the desk, but wasn’t a huge deal. It’s just nice to always see someone at the desk makes you feel like someone is always there and ready to help you in anyway, it more hospitable. They just check us in, we’re polite but not warm or friendly. Just felt they were there to do their job, not rude just not friendly. The headboards to the beds where roughed up a bit but other then that it was pretty clean. The wait staff in the pub was very nice! In all truth 175$ /night for a small town of a port Alberni and it being the middle of January…..eeee a little pricy. But it was what we needed, quiet, had a restaurant on site and a pool (we didn’t get a chance to use the pool so can not comment on that). I’ve worked in a few hotels in my life and this one was alright.
KKEVery good location, just by the pier, the cocktails and dishes in the hotel restaurant are very good. The front desk was enthusiastic, because of negligence, the wrong date was booked, the money was floating, but the hotel gave a half-price room on the day, avoiding the street.
TTAOA passing hotel to Tofino, because the Tofino hotel is difficult to book, the hotel is the standard motel, better than those 99, there is a gas station and McDonald's opposite the hotel.
