Sun Island Hotel & Spa Legian Reviews

I’ve stayed at Sun Island Hotel Legian several times and have always had quite a good experiences in the past. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the location is convenient — close to the airport, shops and restaurants. However, during my most recent stay, I was quite disappointed. On my last day, the sheet came loose and when I lifted it, I found a lot of mold underneath the mattress cover. It was really unpleasant to see. I understand that Bali is humid, but this shouldn’t happen — mattresses should be properly cleaned or replaced, not just covered up. There’s also a house next to the hotel with about 15–20 dogs that bark throughout the night. It’s not the hotel’s fault, and I understand there’s probably little they can do about it, but it definitely affects the quality of your sleep — even with earplugs.

Good stay! We love the room and the service provided by the hotel staff. Good location near to beach and all shops.

The stay was amazing. The staff was really nice and the room and pool are clean. The only(!) negative thing were the loud streets. At the pool you listened to 3 different music but you could hear them in the room.

The hotel's location near Kuta is excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with a soft bed. The only downside is that it's not soundproof; it gets very noisy early in the morning, and you can hear everything from the room. Also, the breakfast selection was a bit limited.

Comfy bed and great black out curtains good shower, air con turns off during the day. Nice roof top pool with comfy sun beds. Breakfast a little disappointing if you don’t go down straight away most stuff will of run out and it gets replenished very slowly. Good location

Room airconditioning always have water condensation and too cold. Water closet has no hand bidet for washing. The built in bidet not working good. House keeping excellent service and done up the room fast and attend to our needs. The hotel design and view is nice.

How old are your pillows? How often do you wash the curtains, they look like they have never been washed. Breakfast was ordinary. The pool is good. I won't stay here again.

This hotel is exactly what you pay for. The rooms on the back side of Hotel are quite noisy with a busy lane way close by. Try and stay at the front and higher up if you have an option. This I not luxurious but is clean and sufficient. I feel like this hotel is good value for money

The staff is incredibly polite and kind, making you feel comfortable right away. You don’t need to worry about anything during your stay. Plus, they offer on-site motorbike rental services, which makes getting around much easier.

Staff were brilliant and very polite and helpful. Spoke and understood English well which was a relief as I don’t speak any Indonesian ! Would def stay again, and the view from the balcony is beautiful at sunrise and sunset x magical!

Cocrosh everywhere, ther floors near pools alot of noice, Brackfast checked in first day hahaha No hanging protocol not recommended Smelly milk ,no fresh foods dew no AC in the lobby 7 am to 10 emagine that s the time . Room is Okey fine . Need more improvement.

There are better hotels at a better price near this town. How they save money… They use way too old or too dangerous thingys for budget.

Affordable Hotel with great ammenities and location. Compared to other hotels in Bali, Sun Island is very clean with daily room cleaning. It is located in the middle of Legian Road meaning you have access to plenty of restaurants, shopping stalls and transport from either Gojek or Grab. There is a lovely curved infinity pool upstairs giving you a sheltered look over Legian Road, and from the top level you have a great view of the Sunset and 2 Volcanos in the distance. The pool not might be obvious for some, so make sure to either take the elevator or walk up the stairs as there is no pool on the ground floor.

I found the room very small and breakfast was to our liking  Unfortunately  I wouldn’t stay there again
