The staff were amazing! They helped with getting temple tickets which were sold out. The room was a bit dated, but it was massive and clean. Food was wonderful, the pool was great (had it to ourselves), and there are many places nearby within walking distance. I would stay again.

we had a very spacious room over looking the pool , the surroundings were very peaceful and we enjoyed the hospitality extended by the staff . They had specially prepared vegan breakfast for us at 6 am . It was 5 minutes walk to Borobudur temple . I would recommend this hotel for sure .

My room washroom encounter the stinky smells on the 1st night, very unfortunate the phone inside the room also out of order too. I’ve to close the door properly before sleep yet still have unpleasant smells in the room. I’ve told the night shift front desk officer about it, however he seems don’t understood and didn’t get the issue settle. Hence, I’ve requested to upgrade on the next day to the day time front desk officer, Herman if the issue can’t be solved. However, it’s fully booked, so I felt upset and helpless. Therefore, I’ve stressed to him I’m unable to give good rating in this case and get him to my room and experience it. He immediately understood the issue and get someone to resolve the issue after I went out for early dinner. Afterwards the issue only comes back in a while and gone. Herman had got the cleaner take note of the issue too over the 6 days 5 nights stay. I would like to give the compliment to Herman for this case. Besides, though the breakfast served only simple food, however I think is good for nutrition and everything are fresh. Especially the juice and fruit sections.

Our family had a great experience with the Sarasvati Borobudur. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful and spacious. Location was perfect as walking distance to visit Borobudur temple as well as the UNESCO world heritage site.  In general, everything went good and will recommend to friends.

Close to Borobudar, 3min walk. Spacious room but very limited facilities, not comfortable to stay. Bb reakfast buffet simple but okay, with both Indo and western choice.

The hotel front desk can book tickets to the summit of Borobudur! It's so convenient. Although the facilities are a bit old, the hotel has beautiful views. The pool is small but adequate. The breakfast omelets are delicious. If you are going to Borobudur, staying here for one night is perfect!

This hotel is recommended in a Japanese travel guide published in China in 2018. It has a special sense of age and has gone through its most glorious era. Although the facilities are very old, the hotel's era style and service are still there. I came back late from the sunrise at Borobudur, and the hotel specially prepared breakfast, which tasted very good. There are many new hotels to choose from in Borobudur now, but if you have stayed in enough new hotels in Yogyakarta and want to experience the classic architectural design style of Nanyang, you might as well try this one.

The pool is worthy of a palace...one of the nicest I've ever been to. The food is excellent. It's a perfect place to enjoy Borobudur, especially since Yogyakarta has lost much of its appeal for some reason. The hotel is a three-star, but without hesitation I would give it an extra star. I think this unfair ranking is due to the lack of an elevator, but it is possible to stay on the ground floor.

The room was very high, the service was good. But it was too noisy. Really noisy. There was a mosque next door that played music from morning till night. It played until almost 12 at night and started at 4 in the morning. Because it was the rainy season, the room was a bit damp. It took 5 minutes to walk to a gate of the pagoda, but this gate was not open. You had to walk 2 kilometers to another gate to enter. Otherwise, you had to take a motorcycle or grab a taxi.

We enjoyed relaxing time in the clean colonial-style building and by the pool. The staff were kind and accommodating to our sudden requests, so we enjoyed our trip to Borobudur.
