The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to the subway. It offers convenient amenities like a self-service laundry and a public bath, perfect for relaxing after a long journey. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making everything very accessible. It's also easy to get to the department stores and specialty shops in Ginza. The front desk provides free luggage storage. Definitely worth staying again!

Although the room, being under 20 square meters, is a bit small, it's very clean and well-arranged; opening a 29-inch suitcase is not an issue. The large public bath on the 16th floor is free for guests, and it's incredibly relaxing to soak in after a long day. The lobby is on the 15th floor and has a terrace with a nice view. Complimentary coffee and drinks are offered at the welcome bar, which is a great bonus to the service.

Hotel located at Ueno, opposite of JR station Ueno, or Exit 1 of Ginza Line, G16 Ueno station. After Exit 1, turn right, hotel entrance just right beside.
No toiletries provided in room but able to grab them in front of the lift. 
Hotel staff are friendly, English speaking is okay. They give good recommendation for courier service for luggage and help us do the booking, arrangement. 
Ameyoko walking street just nearby with 5-8 mins walk.
Donki is about 10-15 mins away.

This was my second stay here. My room faced the stadium and was very quiet. I felt the cleanliness and maintenance weren't quite as good as the room I had last year, but still perfectly fine. The toiletries have been switched to a different brand – it says 'Italian brand' but I didn't recognize it, and personally, I don't think they're as good as the blue-bottled ones from last year. Also, a heads-up: you can only store luggage for same-day pick-up. I had planned to go to Fuji for a night and leave my luggage here, but overnight storage isn't an option. Other than that, no issues.

Location of the hotel is excellent and is within close proximity to major establishments/shopping areas in the Ginza area. There is a convenient store (”Natural Lawson”) on the ground floor of the building. 
I booked the Standard Room with Queen Bed as I was worried that the Standard Room with Single Bed would be too cramped.  I'm glad I made that decision.  At about 20sq.m., the room is spacious and comfortable enough for one person but may be slightly cramped for a couple.  Then again, hotel rooms in Japan tend to be small in general.  Everything was clean and well maintained, and the amenities were sufficient.  The lobby of the hotel is located on the 16/F of the building, and the guestrooms are located from 17/F up, so you get a very nice view of the Ginza area.
I didn't try the breakfast on this trip, but I've heard nice things about that.  Will definitely try that next time.

The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, which makes it very livable. The king-size room is quite spacious; you can fully open your suitcase with plenty of room left. This is rare for hotels in Japan, which usually have smaller rooms. I remember the breakfast being very rich on my previous visit, but this time it felt like the variety had significantly decreased. One good thing, though, is that if you skip breakfast, you can choose to have their lunch buffet instead. Personally, I think the lunch buffet offers better value for money.

Comfortable room and convenient location, just a short walk from Metro Kyobashi Station and within walking distance from the Tokyo Station. Very responsive front desk who replied to my email within an hour past midnight before my stay. Staff were all friendly when helping us with check-in and queries. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was comfortable and bright. The Higashi-Ginza subway station is right outside the hotel, offering direct access to both Haneda and Narita airports. It's very close to Ginza, and you can easily walk to Tsukiji Fish Market in the morning. Shopping is super convenient with Mitsukoshi department store just across the street. I really loved it! While the hotel price is high on weekends, it's very reasonable on weekdays. The breakfast spread was excellent, and surprisingly, there's even a Mala Tang restaurant not far from the hotel.

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see Tokyo Tower right from your room, and Roppongi Hills is within walking distance. However, the closest subway exit doesn't have an elevator, which can be a bit challenging if you have luggage.

Compared to other Mitsui Garden hotels, this one certainly provides more premium toiletries. However, it is expensive! 

Like other Mitsui Garden hotels, from 2026…. In the name of environmental sustainability, (1) they provide plastic/reusable slippers which don’t seem hygienic to me and I hated them, (2) bedsheets are changed only after 3 nights. Room cleaning was not very thorough, there was dust at the corners. I can’t find the exact photo now but I had deliberately left a small slip of packaging on the floor to monitor if it would be cleared away but it wasn’t! Their housekeeping team could definitely do better!

Unlike other Mitsui Garden hotels I have used, it was not so easy to locate welcome drinks (I did not end up having any). The reception/front desk was also baffling because it tends to be empty or just manned by 1 staff until they notice more patrons around then more staff would appear from their backroom. I appreciate how suitcases I had forwarded to the hotel ahead of my arrival was in my room waiting for me. They also took note of my request for more pillows. Thank you. 

Other considerations - entire hotel is dimly lit. There are 2 sets of elevators. One to the lobby, and a separate on to go to the rooms. I timed the journey, it takes almost 1 full minute to get from lobby to B1. Even when I requested for a room near the elevators, I was given a room nested very deeply/far away and required a lot of walking. The carpet made it challenging to move suitcases.

Location-wise, It’s not the most convenient if  want to visit Shibuya/Harajuku but ok for Tsukiji and Ginza. Not so many eateries around and while there are convenient stores, there’s currently no full-fledged supermarkets around. Considering how expensive this place is… its limitations / inconveniences, I would reconsider staying there.

Right off the bus from Kyoto Station, the location is absolutely fantastic! We arrived half an hour early, and the staff very thoughtfully checked us in, letting us know the room was still being cleaned and we'd have to wait a little. They were incredibly friendly. The hotel even provides its own translation device, which is super convenient. For two people, the room is very spacious. I love the dark-toned decor, and the bedding is really comfortable. The waste sorting instructions are also very clear. The room was cleaned spotlessly every day. The pajamas are super comfy – though at my Osaka hotel, it was a long-sleeved shirt dress, which made me wonder about the men, haha! There's a convenience store right next to the hotel and it's really close to a Life supermarket, which was perfect for our daily breakfasts and snacks. My daughter practically drank milk like water every day! After resting up, we'd head out to grab some snacks. Getting to Shijo-Kawaramachi was also a breeze; we just strolled there, or took a bus from the corner, which was very handy. Taking a walk around the hotel is a wonderful experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Sequence Kyoto Gojo and would happily stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto.

The hotel is modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean. My room was thoughtfully designed, making great use of the space while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful after a full day of exploring Kyoto.

The location is excellent—just a short walk from Gojo Station, with convenience stores, cafés, and restaurants nearby. It made getting around Kyoto incredibly easy.

What truly made my stay special was the kindness of the staff. To my surprise, they prepared a small birthday gift for me during my stay. I have no idea how they knew it was my birthday, but it was such a thoughtful gesture that genuinely touched my heart. It wasn’t about the gift itself—it was the care and effort behind it that made me feel so welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you to everyone at Sequence Kyoto Gojo for making my trip even more memorable. Your hospitality and attention to detail made my stay truly special, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The location is great, right next to the subway, making travel and sightseeing very convenient. It's easy to get anywhere. The hotel's cleanliness was acceptable, and the staff were very friendly.

On the first day, the room we were assigned had a window facing a cemetery, which was quite depressing. We couldn't switch rooms that night and didn't sleep very well. The next day, after reporting the situation to the front desk, the staff were very cooperative and helped us change rooms smoothly.

If you're sensitive about the view outside your window, I recommend telling the front desk in advance to avoid rooms facing this direction when you check in. Overall, it's a convenient place for travel and a good base to stay.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was larger than average and exceptionally clean, with a separate shower and bathtub. The Refa showerhead and hairdryer were a nice touch and worked great. The room had modern amenities, and the trash bins were emptied promptly.

The hotel's location is super convenient. There are many designer shops and delicious restaurants nearby, and it's just a short walk to Nishiki Market. Karasuma Oike Station is also right next door, offering direct access to Shijo and Kyoto Station. I was really satisfied with my stay; it offers excellent value for money!

I highly recommend the wagyu BBQ restaurant next to the hotel (Wagyu Yakiniku Horumon Sankichi). The owner and staff were very friendly, the wagyu quality was superb, and the set menus were great value, plus you can enjoy all-you-can-drink!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Kyoto Station, making it super convenient for both buses and JR. The room was small but very clean. There was no real window, just a decorative one, giving the room a really stylish feel overall. The bed and duvet were incredibly comfortable, a huge improvement compared to my experience the previous night at Shanghai Pudong Airport Hotel.

This was our first time staying in the Gion area, and Hotel the Celestine truly elevated the experience. The atmosphere is calm, elegant and very Kyoto. From check in to departure, everything felt smooth and professionally handled.

The cleanliness was impeccable. The room was thoughtfully arranged with a perfect balance of modern comfort and traditional Japanese touches. Beds were extremely comfortable and the space felt well planned, not cramped like many city hotels.

What makes this hotel special is the location. Stepping outside places you immediately in the charm of old Kyoto. Walking through Gion in the early morning before the crowds arrive was unforgettable.

Service deserves special mention. The team was polite, warm and always ready to assist with genuine hospitality.

A beautiful property for anyone who appreciates quiet luxury in a prime cultural setting. We would gladly stay again.

The hotel is a bit away from the bustling commercial areas, offering a tranquil escape. The decor is elegant, and the room layout is well-designed with spacious interiors.

**Amenities:** The facilities are comprehensive, and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! It's close to the subway, right in front of Canal City, and Hakata Station is just a 10-minute walk away. The large public bath on the top floor is open until 1 AM, and there's a sauna, which completely melts away the day's fatigue.

But the best part, by far, is the breakfast. The sushi, ramen, Janchi-guksu (banquet noodles), and bread are incredibly delicious! The breakfast was better than what you'd find at a 5-star hotel! If I visit Fukuoka again, I will definitely come back to the Gion branch! I was infinitely impressed by the friendly service!

This hotel is about a 3-4 minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station. If you have luggage, take exit 4 for elevator access. The room wasn't huge, but the facilities felt new, possibly due to a recent renovation. There's a public bath on the top floor which, while not very big, was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently located near the original Ichiran Ramen, the Anpanman Children's Museum, a 24-hour Don Quijote, and convenience stores, making it very accessible for everything you might need.
