This was my fourth stay here, and I'm consistently impressed! Everything, from check-in to storing my luggage (while I spent three days in Osaka) and then checking back in, was incredibly smooth. I just wish I knew how to become a member because this is the only place I want to stay whenever I'm in Tokyo from now on!

The large public bath on the second floor is incredibly relaxing after a long day – I went both in the evenings and mornings, haha! It’s all about comfort!

Location-wise, it's perfect! There's a Lawson convenience store right across the street and a 7-Eleven just a short walk to the right, making it super easy to grab drinks and snacks like onigiri and sandwiches.

Walk 200 meters to the right and across the street, and you'll hit the Mitsukoshi department store. Keep going, and you'll find Muji and Loft, then even further (near the Narita Airport bus stop) is a huge Sanrio store! So much to explore!

Another 500-meter walk to the right will bring you to Tsukiji Tamasushi, which is famous for its delicious and fresh sushi. A bit further, and you're at the Tsukiji Market itself – oh my goodness, just eat your heart out!

Montbell is also conveniently close by, perfect for some serious shopping! It’s so much fun!

I stayed in a deluxe twin room, which had a tatami-like feel. It was spacious and very comfortable! I'm already planning to book my room for December!

To get here from Narita Airport, buy a bus ticket for 1500 JPY per person. Take the bus from platform 6 and get off at Ginza Station. The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from there – just head towards the Mitsukoshi building, and you'll find it easily! Super convenient!

As a solo female traveler, I specifically booked a 'Ladyroom' here. It's located on the same floor as the front desk and has two security doors, requiring a room card to access the ladies' floor – I felt incredibly safe! The front desk staff were super helpful, and the cleaning ladies were all locals and very polite (unlike some hotels with Southeast Asian staff). My room was spotless every day during my three-night stay, extremely clean and hygienic. The Ladyroom also came with a curling iron and a beauty device, which was a very thoughtful touch! The only downside is they don't provide individually packaged toiletries, so be sure to bring your own in advance!

**Environment:** The hotel's location is super convenient. There's a popular brunch spot right downstairs, and so many great food options nearby!

Hotel located at Ueno, opposite of JR station Ueno, or Exit 1 of Ginza Line, G16 Ueno station. After Exit 1, turn right, hotel entrance just right beside.
No toiletries provided in room but able to grab them in front of the lift. 
Hotel staff are friendly, English speaking is okay. They give good recommendation for courier service for luggage and help us do the booking, arrangement. 
Ameyoko walking street just nearby with 5-8 mins walk.
Donki is about 10-15 mins away.

The hotel is conveniently located near three subway lines, all just two stops away from Shinjuku Station. The closest exit is A1 of the Toei Oedo Line; it's right by the hotel entrance. However, this exit doesn't have an escalator going down, so it's not ideal if you're returning with luggage. 

There's a small park nearby. If you walk through it for about 5 minutes, you'll find a JR exit with a convenience store next to it. It's a bit surprising that the hotel itself doesn't have a convenience store.

The breakfast ingredients were good, and the mini-breads were very fresh, though the overall variety wasn't extensive.

The hotel's facilities are generally new, clean, and relatively quiet. I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit Omotesando and Harajuku. According to Google Maps, it's about a 20-minute walk, but if you take the subway, you need to transfer once and ride for one stop each time. Carrying shopping bags and transferring can be a bit tiring. I mainly valued the hotel for its quiet environment and new facilities.

Also, the hotel's mineral water bottles look really nice; at first, I even thought they were beer bottles! 🍻

This is my second stay here, and it's just as good as the first time. Even though the room is small, it's very comfortable. They have a hot spring open all night, and there's a convenience store nearby. The only minor flaw is that the tram can be a bit noisy in the evenings and early mornings.

We had a fantastic stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza. The location is perfect—within walking distance of great shopping, restaurants, public transport, the famous Tsukiji Market, and just a stone's throw from the beautiful Hama-rikyu Gardens, which made our stay even more special as it's where we got engaged.
The service was exceptional, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotless, modern, surprisingly spacious, and offered a beautiful view of the city.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful selection of fresh Japanese and Western dishes to start each day.
Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

The room was small, but the facilities were clean and complete. It's super convenient for shopping, dining, and transportation, being close to the Ginza commercial district and Tokyo Station. Of course, the value for money is exceptional, making it perfect for serious shoppers who don't need a lot of space. The hotel only has two elevators, so sometimes there's a bit of a wait; be sure to factor that in. There are two free bottles of water in the fridge, and a vending machine with drinks is located in a small room next to the elevator, available for purchase anytime. Disposable toiletries can be self-service picked up near the elevator on the second floor.

Love the location in Ginza. Near the train station and lots of restaurants and departmental stores nearby. We stayed here for one night. Check-in was slow at 7.45pm. The staff seemed to be inexperienced and had to be assisted by another staff. Room was good size by Tokyo's standard and we managed to open two large luggage in the room. The bed was firm to our liking and the pillows were great, not the soft and flat ones. Check out was a breeze the next morning.

This hotel is located in Nihonbashi, very close to Shin-Nihonbashi and Mitsukoshimae subway stations, making it incredibly convenient for trips to Kamakura and shopping in Ginza. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan, and the facilities are excellent. They even offer personalized services, and the staff are warm and provide great service. Compared to Shinjuku, the area is much quieter. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs, which is super handy, and plenty of unique shops and restaurants nearby. I felt very comfortable and at ease with my choice this time around.

This hotel is super convenient, just a 5-6 minute walk from Roppongi Subway Exit 5, and you get to enjoy the twinkling Tokyo Tower lights on the way. My 5th-floor room offered street views and a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower, and it was really clean and quiet. I chose the twin bed option, and while the beds aren't small, they are placed right next to each other. The shower and bathtub get a big thumbs up – very well designed! The room isn't huge, but considering it's Roppongi in Tokyo, it's totally acceptable. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very nice. The lobby also has good quality toiletries available, which you can pick up as needed. Shoutout to the nearby Taketora Ramen – fantastic! There's also a Don Quijote for some affordable shopping. Overall, I was very happy with my stay.

Traveling to Kyoto with friends and staying at this hotel was an excellent experience. The location is superb, making it easy to get to all the major attractions. The rooms were spotless, and the public hot spring was perfect for easing the fatigue from walking around all day. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the facilities were complete and functional. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling with friends.

Modern design hotel that appeals to the younger crowd. Medium queen room was spacious and I could lay out my luggage case on the long bench. Don't expect nice views from the room as it will be facing other buildings. Room was on the darker side, as the interior design is mostly black and gray, and the lighting was minimal, so it is good for relaxing and not working.
For breakfast, you can order 1 plate from ala carte menu, and there is a salad bar. Pretty simple but does the job.
Location wise, it is closer to Gojo metro station than Shijo station. There is a metro exit with elevator so you can use that when carrying luggage. It is a longer walk to Shijo dori shopping street, so you may prefer to book a hotel closer to Shijo station / Hankyu Karasuma station if you want to be more central to the shopping area.

Stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kawaramachi Jokyoji from 20-24 Dec. This was my 2nd stay there in 2 consecutive months, despite there being hundreds of hotels in Kyoto. 

Location:  the hotel is located in the city center with Nishiki Market and Teramachi indoor shopping street located very closeby. Kawaramachi is also a big commercial street lined with plethora of shops and malls.  Train stations within walking distance. 

Hotel Facilities and Amenities:  this is a very beautiful hotel next to a temple (and small cemetery). The rooms are exemplary clean and quite spacious for Japan’s standard. Many facilities such as a public onsen, on-site restaurant, vending machine, ice machine, etc. No gym, which is not a big deal at all if you are in Kyoto for a short tourist visit.  You will be doing a lot of walking anyway if you choose to.  

I only visited the on-site restaurant for dinner once. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Service staff was accommodating (I had to use a wheelchair at the time); however, service was lackluster otherwise.  


Hotel staff service:  cannot praise the service by the hotel staff enough. This time around, I had injured my foot and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I was touched by the staff’s incredible kindness - they went out of their way to really help me out.

Overall:  if you want city center location with easy access to modern shops and an array of restaurants within walking distance, big and super clean room, and great hospitality,  I’d highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is super convenient, right next to Kyoto Station. If you exit Kyoto Station and head right, past the Kyoto Theater, you'll be there in no time. It's a lifesaver for anyone traveling with luggage, making transfers to the Shinkansen, bus, or subway incredibly easy.

The room's layout was well-thought-out, and the bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were spotless. Even for a standard twin room, it didn't feel cramped at all. Overall, the hotel was really good.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The room was larger than average and exceptionally clean, with a separate shower and bathtub. The Refa showerhead and hairdryer were a nice touch and worked great. The room had modern amenities, and the trash bins were emptied promptly.

The hotel's location is super convenient. There are many designer shops and delicious restaurants nearby, and it's just a short walk to Nishiki Market. Karasuma Oike Station is also right next door, offering direct access to Shijo and Kyoto Station. I was really satisfied with my stay; it offers excellent value for money!

I highly recommend the wagyu BBQ restaurant next to the hotel (Wagyu Yakiniku Horumon Sankichi). The owner and staff were very friendly, the wagyu quality was superb, and the set menus were great value, plus you can enjoy all-you-can-drink!

This was our first time staying in the Gion area, and Hotel the Celestine truly elevated the experience. The atmosphere is calm, elegant and very Kyoto. From check in to departure, everything felt smooth and professionally handled.

The cleanliness was impeccable. The room was thoughtfully arranged with a perfect balance of modern comfort and traditional Japanese touches. Beds were extremely comfortable and the space felt well planned, not cramped like many city hotels.

What makes this hotel special is the location. Stepping outside places you immediately in the charm of old Kyoto. Walking through Gion in the early morning before the crowds arrive was unforgettable.

Service deserves special mention. The team was polite, warm and always ready to assist with genuine hospitality.

A beautiful property for anyone who appreciates quiet luxury in a prime cultural setting. We would gladly stay again.

Absolutely loved this Zen-inspired hotel, a perfect blend of Japanese and Western styles. The room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed the public onsen daily, and the facilities were comprehensive. The surrounding area is packed with amenities; we loved exploring the narrow alleys filled with charming shops and delicious eateries, all with a distinct local flavor. It's very close to Nishiki Market, and there's a budget-friendly supermarket within 100 meters, making transportation super convenient. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect! It's close to the subway, right in front of Canal City, and Hakata Station is just a 10-minute walk away. The large public bath on the top floor is open until 1 AM, and there's a sauna, which completely melts away the day's fatigue.

But the best part, by far, is the breakfast. The sushi, ramen, Janchi-guksu (banquet noodles), and bread are incredibly delicious! The breakfast was better than what you'd find at a 5-star hotel! If I visit Fukuoka again, I will definitely come back to the Gion branch! I was infinitely impressed by the friendly service!

Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu's location is absolutely unbeatable! It's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Nakasu-Kawabata Subway Station, meaning you're practically there as soon as you step out – super convenient, especially with luggage. It's right in the heart of Nakasu's gourmet district, with the Yatai street and the original Ichiran Ramen just downstairs. Plus, it's incredibly easy to walk to Tenjin and Hakata from here.

The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable, minimalist Japanese design. The rooftop public bath was a highlight; being able to relax in the hot spring while enjoying the city night view after a long day of sightseeing was incredibly therapeutic. The breakfast was excellent, featuring freshly made seafood sushi and local seafood. The front desk offered multi-language service and there was free Wi-Fi. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Fukuoka!
