Great hotel in the centre of cairo. its new so everything works pretty well. The staff are super kind and the breakfast is amazing. I hope it stays this way. I also like the traditional vibe that the hotel has.

The place is very authentic and lovely. It could perhaps offer more catering services. The building is beautifully and authentically renovated, and we really love the place. However, we faced some challenges with being accepted as guests from Cairo, as we were told this is due to a governmental policy. They did support us by granting an exception this time since the policy was not mentioned in any disclaimer. We would love to visit again, but unfortunately it is not allowed for Cairo residents.

We chose Sayed Effendi – Boutique Hotel because the photos and online reviews looked very promising. Upon arrival, the hotel itself appeared charming and well-presented. However, several issues affected our stay. When we were first shown to our room, we discovered that it was already occupied and in complete disorder. The receptionist apologized sincerely and reassigned us to another room. Unfortunately, the new room faced the main boulevard and the hotel has no double glazing, which made it feel like we were trying to sleep in the middle of the traffic. The noise level was extremely high throughout the night. Additionally, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, which is very inconvenient for travelers, especially since the 4G signal inside the building was very weak. Finally, we found hair on the “clean” towels, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness. Overall, the hotel has potential, but our experience was far from what we expected based on the pictures and reviews. I hope these issues can be improved for future guests.

I booked a room for two with a friend for 3 nights. The breakfast was very good ! And the personal was also very kind and caring ! I would totally recommend to stay at Sayed Effendi ☺️

The experience was very bad! The hotel looks good at first but after the first night you realize all the problems! The shower (water stays in the shower and runs over the basement), the breakfast (cold food and dirty plates), no restaurant… just awful. I overpaid for the balcony to see this… look on the photo

An amazing stay from the moment I entered and was greeted by Yusuf and Ahmed. You can immediately tell the hotel is new is being looked after. The decor is brilliant. The restaurant on the roof is a nice touch and is well attended. The staff are more than willing to help. The hotel also offers ironing and cleaning service. A great stay, great value for money.

Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful but there is some management problems but it’s okey. Breakfast is a little bit poor. Need more options

Highly recommended!! This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The service and environment were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming!!! I originally booked this hotel randomly during my last day of transit in Cairo, but I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The porter was super cute, making sure we could carry our luggage with ease. Even after check-out, he stayed with us until our car arrived and helped us load our luggage. The receptionist was very kind and patient, showing us around to our room and helping with check-in. A small but wonderful hotel, the best value for money. (Don't expect too much from the breakfast and soundproofing, but they were perfectly adequate.)

Breakfast was included, making it great value for money in Cairo. The staff were very friendly and helped me carry my luggage upstairs. Because the elevator was small, he had to walk up, which was very kind of him. The breakfast was decent, and you could enjoy the views of Cairo. Getting a taxi to the Cairo Museum was also very convenient, making it a good option.

The front desk service was excellent, the hotel was very clean and tidy, and the high floors prevented a feeling of confinement. A free breakfast was provided, but the selection was limited. Slippers and toiletries were not provided; guests needed to bring their own.

The hotel is very clean and beautiful! The staff is friendly and always ready to help! The breakfasts are delicious and filling. The only downside is the lack of toiletries, dental kits, or slippers in the rooms. The bed linens aren't pure cotton. Therefore, the overall rating is a 5-.

A very nice hotel, stylishly decorated, with pleasant and polite staff. The breakfasts were excellent. We loved it and highly recommend it!! 👍
