The B&B is beautifully designed, and most importantly, impeccably clean. Its location is fantastic – the ancient town is literally on your doorstep, making it super convenient for exploring and dining, as there are so many food choices. Despite being in a lively area, it's remarkably quiet at night, providing a perfect peaceful haven.

This charming little hotel offers an immediate refreshing coolness upon entering, a welcome escape from the heat. Both the common areas and the rooms were spotlessly clean. It's just a few minutes' walk to Paifang Street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining. The owner's thoughtful attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel. Overall, a lovely stay.

The room was spotless, and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. As soon as we booked, he immediately sent us recommendations for local attractions and dining spots. Our flight was delayed, and he patiently waited up for us until 2 AM. What's more, even though it was pouring rain, he still came out to the street corner to pick us up. We're extremely grateful for his kindness!

The guesthouse is perfectly situated within the old city. It's a beautifully renovated property tucked away in an alley, and for our first stay, the owner even came out to pick us up, which was a really nice touch. The interior decor was exactly my style, and we particularly loved that we booked the entire building, giving us all the space to ourselves – such a fantastic feeling! Disposable bath towels are provided (great for hygiene!), there's a washing machine, and the bedding was super comfortable. Ordering food delivery was also incredibly convenient. Definitely recommend!

A small yet charming guesthouse, tucked away in an alley not far from Zhumumen. What truly impressed me was the sheer variety and excellent care of the plants throughout the property – it's clear a lot of effort goes into their upkeep. The entire guesthouse has a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, simple yet incredibly cozy. The common area is filled with books, perfect for a quiet read in the living room. A special highlight was the pegboard where all shared utensils and items are conveniently available for guests to take as needed. This thoughtful approach eliminates the need to equip every room, making it both eco-friendly and welcoming, just like being at home. We booked a one-bedroom unit on the second floor (there's no elevator). The living room featured a tatami sunroom, a perfect spot for reading. The lamp at night cast a soft, gentle glow, and with the evening breeze rustling the curtains, it created a truly tranquil and picturesque ambiance. The bedding was cotton linen, spotlessly clean and smelling of sunshine. The bathroom, though compact, was perfectly functional. It's evident the owner puts a lot of heart into running this place. The location is also excellent – not far from Paifang Street and Ximalu, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling area. The owner is understated and gracious, a person who seems to have many interesting stories to tell. We stayed for two nights; the evenings were very quiet, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The sunroom even had windows that could be opened for ventilation. A truly wonderful guesthouse!

A fantastic family-run guesthouse with a superb location right in the heart of the old town. Because we had contacted them in advance, the air conditioning and dehumidifier were already running in our room when we checked in. Unlike the humid heat outside, the air inside the guesthouse was dry and fresh, with a faint aroma of essential oils. Our ground-floor room was a little dim, but the atrium was bright, filled with sunlight and lush greenery. Unlike those trendy 'influencer' hotels, this guesthouse boasted a wonderful ambiance and a genuine, lived-in charm.

The location is super convenient for visiting attractions like Yongji Bridge and for dining along Kaiyuan Road. It's great to be able to pop back for a rest during the day if you get tired from exploring. I'd absolutely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Chaozhou.

The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful; they even sent me a travel guide on WeChat before my arrival. A key highlight was the clever use of essential oils, which, combined with the peaceful quietness, created a wonderfully calming atmosphere. I slept like a baby every night, waking up naturally refreshed. The location was also super convenient for getting around. Before I left, I had a delicious and fragrant glass of lemon-infused water, made with lemons grown by the owner themselves. If I get the chance to visit Chaozhou again, I'd absolutely stay here.

Finding the right accommodation is often the hardest part of traveling, and it took me a full week of searching to discover this particular B&B. The location and decor were exactly what we were looking for, and both the cleanliness and facilities were excellent. The owner was incredibly welcoming and always happy to answer any questions. Right next door, there's a vibrant little courtyard. In it, I saw a Guangdong 'perfume lemon' tree, absolutely laden with fruit – something I'd never encountered before – and also a fiddle-leaf fig tree that stood two stories high, another first for me! The common areas were beautifully decorated and had a wonderful atmosphere, boasting a vast collection of books and all common daily essentials. It was truly excellent.

Of all the things that made my trip to Chaozhou memorable, the guesthouse I booked was definitely the highlight. Tucked away on Paifang Street, Yong Er Gui is a true sanctuary. The proprietor has meticulously curated every detail, and their thoughtfulness shines through in every corner. From the quality bedding and air purifiers to the stylish sofas in the rooms, everything is exceptionally tasteful. The communal lounge is also incredibly well-appointed, featuring everything from a first-aid kit and sewing supplies to various craft tools, along with an extensive collection of books. It almost made me want to just stay in and read, instead of exploring the city. The proprietor is currently dedicating effort to developing the backyard, which promises to be another vibrant and lively spot. The rooms are also adorned with numerous green plants, infusing this charming old building with a vibrant sense of life. I stayed on the first floor this time, but I'm already planning to book a second-floor room next visit. And if I'm traveling with more friends, the multi-room standalone house across the way would be perfect. I definitely hope to stay here again on my next visit.

Such a great place! I would give more stars if possible. Perfect location for exploring the township. As the hotel is situated in a side street it's very calm at night. Room was sparkling clean and I loved the design. You will find great books and poems all around the house. This adds to the great atmosphere. The location is excellent, the hygiene is very good, the bedding is clean, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and you can smell the comfortable aroma of coffee when you come in. The overall texture is that of a boutique homestay. The room was cleaned very promptly and cleanly the next day after staying for another night, and the staff is very cultured.
