Our first stop was Chengdu, and I was thrilled to book a Deluxe Room with an oversized king bed at the Kempinski! Sleeping on the incredibly spacious 2.4-meter bed was pure bliss. I really loved the wooden keycard; it was such an elegant touch. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering a comprehensive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, including fruits, drinks, desserts, and many freshly prepared items with authentic flavors. Alas, being on a diet, I could only have a tiny taste! 😭😭 The staff, from the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, were all incredibly polite and welcoming. 👍👍👍

Excellent! We initially booked for just one night, but we loved it so much we extended our stay to four nights. Everything was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, with offerings changing daily, and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

A special commendation goes to Front Office Manager Li, who handled a complaint with exceptional professionalism. Ms. Tian from housekeeping deserves a mention too; noticing we had an older child, she proactively provided an extra duvet and sheets, and her attitude was wonderful. The bell staff were also very prompt and professional in assisting with our luggage. The service truly exceeded 5-star standards, though the facilities are in need of an upgrade. I would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, with freshly made noodles that were delicious and perfectly springy. For dinner, the authentic local Sichuan cuisine at the restaurant was truly outstanding. The Laziji (Spicy Chicken), in particular, was crispy, aromatic, and had that perfect spicy-numbing kick. The desserts were exquisite and melted in your mouth. Every meal was a culinary delight, and I'd definitely come back just for the food! My only minor complaint is that there was no hand cream provided in the room.

Shout out to Carson from the concierge, he was really meticulous in helping me to collect some orders, walked me to the basement parcel collection area and explained the step by step in detail in getting the parcel out.
