Elstay Hotel, also known as Tangquan Hotel, is located in the core tourist area of Mount Emei. It is a new benchmark in the region that combines "hot spring experience and modern living". The hotel enjoys a prime location, being just a 5-minute walk from Baoguo Temple, where the morning and evening bells can be heard. It is also a 10-minute drive from Mount Emei High-Speed Railway Station, making it convenient for both high-speed rail passengers and self-driving families. The hot spring area is the soul of the hotel. The exclusive hot spring zone is meticulously designed with a fully enclosed and constant temperature system, ensuring a comfortable soaking experience even in the coldest winter. The new Chinese-style decoration blends seamlessly with the hot spring area. Wooden lattices and Zen-style ornaments create a serene and distant atmosphere. During the day, the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the distant mountains, and when the clouds and mist swirl, it feels like being in a fairyland. At night, the custom lighting system illuminates the entire hot spring area, with star-like lights reflecting off the water mist in the pools. Coupled with soothing music and custom aromatherapy, guests can fully relax in this private space. The hotel uses eco-friendly and formaldehyde-free materials throughout to ensure a safe and healthy stay. The lobby is particularly grand, with a high ceiling and crystal chandeliers, exuding elegance. The marble floor is as smooth as a mirror, and the new Chinese-style screens and green plants complement each other, creating a spacious, bright, and culturally rich reception area that makes guests feel comfortable and respected as soon as they enter the hotel. The guest rooms start from 35 square meters and are decorated in a modern and simple style, with clean and smooth lines and soft and elegant color schemes, giving a refreshing and comfortable feeling. The rooms are equipped with high-quality furniture and facilities. Some room types are audio-visual rooms, featuring high-definition projection equipment and surround sound systems, with a vast selection of film and television resources to choose from, allowing guests to enjoy a visual and auditory feast after a tiring journey. All guest rooms are furnished with 80-thread-count long-staple cotton bedding and silent mattresses to ensure a good night's sleep. The surrounding facilities are well-developed. It takes only an 8-minute walk to reach the Mount Emei Museum to learn about the natural and cultural history of Mount Emei. Within a 10-minute radius, there are many restaurants offering local specialties such as jiao jiao beef and tofu pudding, satisfying your taste buds. Here, the convenient location, comfortable hot springs, modern and simple guest rooms, and grand lobby all contribute to a perfect Mount Emei living experience.

Baoguo Temple/Emeishan Railway Station | 1.32km from Fuhu Temple
Nestled at the foot of the sacred Mount Emei and adjacent to the ancient Baoguo Temple, the Zen Hot Spring - Ten Directions Three Courtyards (Baoguo Temple, Mount Emei) takes "Zen" as its soul and "hot spring" as its medium, creating a tranquil and serene space for travelers to wash away the hustle and bustle and return to their true selves. Although it is not a natural hot spring, it has become a unique and charming place for healing and relaxation at the foot of Mount Emei through the ingenious integration of water quality and Zen aesthetics. 1. Surrounded by Zen, every step is a scene of tranquility. The hot spring area is designed with a "Zen Oriental" theme, ingeniously drawing inspiration from the elegance of Mount Emei and the Zen charm of Baoguo Temple. Elements such as raw wood, bluestone, bamboo shadows, and dry landscapes are integrated into the spatial texture. As you step in, the hustle and bustle fades away, and only the gentle chime of wind chimes under the eaves and the clear chirping of birds in the forest can be heard, accompanied by the faint scent of sandalwood. In the courtyard, moss covers the stones, and winding paths lead to secluded corners. Occasionally, plain-colored lanterns hang from the branches, and the interplay of light and shadow fully reveals the serene scene of "living in the midst of people, yet free from the noise of carriages and horses." The public hot spring area is laid out in a semi-open layout, ensuring the transparency of the space while using bamboo fences, screens, and green plants to skillfully divide the areas, creating a comfortable atmosphere that is private yet not closed off. Every guest can feel the peace and tranquility of Zen while getting close to nature. 2. Craftsmanship in hot springs, healing the body and mind to return to the true self. Although there is no natural hot spring, the hot spring selects water quality with strict standards and uses advanced purification and constant temperature systems to ensure that the water is clean and warm, maintaining a suitable body temperature throughout the year. The hot spring pools are simple yet elegant, either surrounded by raw wood or paved with bluestone. The poolside is decorated with Zen plants such as pine branches and calamus, paired with soft warm light and soothing Zen music. As soon as you step into the water, all your fatigue disappears. Although there are no private hot springs, the reasonable space planning and low-density customer flow management avoid congestion and noise. Guests can enjoy a peaceful soak in the public pools, closing their eyes and listening to the Zen music and watching the bamboo shadows, allowing the warm water to soothe their bodies and minds and find inner clarity and peace. 3. Zen extends, immersive experience of slow life. Besides the comfortable hot spring experience, Ten Directions Three Courtyards also integrates Zen into every detail. The rest area features simple raw wood furniture and soft cotton and linen cushions. Guests can enjoy a cup of Mount Emei tea and read a Zen book, savoring a moment of leisure. The tea room offers professional tea art performances, allowing guests to understand the true meaning of "Zen and tea as one" through observing and tasting tea. Every day, there are small Zen practice activities such as copying sutras and meditation, guided by professional instructors, helping guests let go of distractions and return to inner peace. In addition, the hot spring is close to Baoguo Temple. After soaking, guests can walk to the ancient temple to pay respects and feel the solemnity and solemnity of the thousand-year-old Zen temple, making the Zen experience more complete. Relying on the elegant mountains and waters of Mount Emei and the profound Zen culture of Baoguo Temple, the Zen Hot Spring - Ten Directions Three Courtyards (Baoguo Temple, Mount Emei) offers a serene and elegant environment, attentive and considerate service, and an immersive Zen experience, making it an ideal choice for tourists visiting Mount Emei to escape the hustle and bustle, heal their bodies and minds, and experience Zen. Here, there is no need to deliberately seek, just calm down and you will find your own peace and freedom in the fusion of hot springs and Zen.

This hotel is very value for money! The hot springs are an amazing way to spend the evening after exploring Emei Shan and are very relaxing. It’s in a very central location next to a few restaurants and just a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal to the mountain. Staff is super nice and welcoming , they helped us with a charging problem. The rooms however are a bit under standard to the hotel and were very tiny and not the cleanest, and breakfast could be better as well. There is also no elevator.

GGuest UserAfter a long, intensive hike at Emei Shan, I chose this hotel to recharge—and it was one of the best decisions of my trip. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful heritage-style architecture, but what really stood out was the service. From the hotel driver to the reception team and room service, every member of staff was genuinely attentive and welcoming. One highlight was the hot spring pool. I was lucky enough to have it all to myself, and it was absolutely perfect—so relaxing after a tough hike and it left me feeling completely rejuvenated. On top of that, the snack combo was a real bargain and added extra value to my stay. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, great service, and authentic charm, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s the perfect choice to unwind and enjoy an amazing stay after exploring Emei Shan.

GGuest UserPros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly facing Mount Emei, and in the evening, we could seemingly hear the temple bells from Baoguo Temple. We chose to stay at Le Méridien after our hike, looking forward to some relaxation. The hotel is indeed quite large with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was plentiful, featuring freshly prepared dishes, a welcome change from pre-made options. We stayed in a deluxe lake view room, offering both mountain and lake views, which was truly lovely. The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the bedding was comfortable. Cons: 1. Initially, our two booked rooms were not in the same building. After inquiring at the front desk, they found a twin room in Building 2, allowing us to be in the same building. It makes you wonder why they were assigned that way in the first place. 2. The room's central air conditioning only provided heating. When we checked in, the room was exceptionally hot; even with the AC off, the temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius (likely due to the room facing west and getting direct sun). However, the housekeeping service was excellent – they promptly brought a portable air cooler, and their service was always timely, thorough, and enthusiastic. This was a stark contrast to the less attentive bellhop service in the lobby. 3. For such a large hotel, having only two elevators per building (Building 1 and 2) seems inadequate for a Le Méridien property. It also raises safety concerns, as there are no staff members at the elevator entrance. If you need to access rooms on other floors, you have to take the stairs (I used the emergency stairwell twice to retrieve something from a room on the 6th floor, a tip given to me by a housekeeper). 4. The large bathtub in the bathroom is genuinely enormous. I suspect anyone under 175cm might need to be careful not to drown! 5. The exterior windows of the scenic room looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I'll stop here for now. I'm writing so much because I actually quite like Le Méridien, and I hope to see improvements next time I visit.

BBernicetjmXiao Zhou and his colleagues provided us with exceptional service during our one-night stay at the hotel! They were very nice and friendly, attentive to our needs and requests, and chatted with us in an open and welcoming manner whenever we inquired about aspects of the local environment, Mt Emei, etc. We had dinner at the hotel during our stay and ordered the chef's recommendations. The food was AMAZING and so fresh. The fish and chicken dishes that we had came from live fish and chicken that they reared within the hotel compound. If they were a local restaurant back in my country, I would frequent them without a doubt, and would love to bring my friends to try their cuisine. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, Xiao Zhou even brought us to take a look at the hotel's chicken coop and fish pond. When we had to leave for our hike to Mt Emei's summit, Xiao Zhou and his colleague kindly drove us to the nearest bus station so that it would be easier for us to access Mt Emei's public transportation, a gesture which we appreciated a lot! All in all, their attentiveness to us, good manners, and warm and friendly dispositions all contributed to a memorable stay. Of course, the rooms themselves were spotless and comfortable. Would love to come back here in the future!!

MM2htmija4****My friends and I chose the Emeishan Orange Tree Hot Spring Hotel (Maluqiao Food Street Branch) for our trip, and we were instantly won over! First, let's talk about the hygiene. Both the guest rooms and public areas were impeccably clean, and the hot spring pools were cleaned in real-time; you could visibly see how clean the water was. The hotel's environment is perfect for a get-together with friends. The hot spring area has beautifully arranged greenery and exclusive rest pavilions. After a soak, sitting in the pavilion with friends, sipping tea, and enjoying the mountain views was incredibly comfortable. The 'Tranquil Slumber' light luxury king room was also tastefully decorated. The minimalist luxury style combined with soft lighting immediately helped us relax. As for the service, the staff were enthusiastic throughout our stay. When we asked for recommendations for nearby food, the front desk even drew us a navigation map for the food street, which was incredibly thoughtful. In terms of facilities, the hot spring amenities were comprehensive. Both the bath towels and bathrobes were disposable, and the mattress and pillows in the room were high-quality. Even the hairdryer was high-powered; the attention to detail was evident everywhere. My friends and I both felt this stay was fantastic, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Emeishan!

XxiaojingWe booked this hotel for our family trip to Chengdu to see the pandas and to Emei Mountain for the monkeys. It was a fantastic choice! The rooms are large, modern, and very clean. There's a convenient shuttle service that takes you between the lobby and the rooms. We even received complimentary milk tea and welcome fruits upon check-in. Our kids absolutely loved the loft room – it had cute panda and elephant stuffed animals, and having two bathrooms was incredibly practical. We got lucky on our Emei Mountain visit; it was raining on the way, but cleared up when we reached the summit, and we saw tons of monkeys, which made the children ecstatic! The hotel is also very close to the city center, making dining super easy.

MmR.Nic_I've already reviewed this, but I have to emphasize it again! My original booking was for check-in on the 13th and check-out on the 15th. However, on the day of check-in, the 13th, I made a last-minute decision to extend my stay from the 15th to the 16th. At that time, there was an international martial arts competition, and all the foreign guests were staying at this hotel, which meant our original room type was unavailable for the 15th to the 16th. Just as we were getting frustrated, ta-da! Our lovely and sweet account manager, Ms. Zhang Hui, helped us promptly resolve the issue and adjust the room! She managed to secure our original room for the 13th-15th, saving us the trouble and hassle of having to pack our bags and switch rooms on the 15th. We are truly grateful and thankful! I want to specifically mention and thank Manager Zhang Hui again! She's amazing!

MMuxiyinchenDue to a late booking, I could only get a Rome King Room. The room was in Building 2, and it was quite a walk to the hot springs, which wasn't very convenient. The lighting in the room was dim, especially in the duplex suite with a mahjong table that my family booked – the lighting was so poor you couldn't even see the mahjong tiles clearly. It definitely wasn't worth the 880 price tag. The toiletries in the room were also subpar. I suspect this hotel's high ratings are mostly fake. Furthermore, most of the hot spring pools had low water temperatures, and the ones that were warm were packed like sardines. The hygiene was also pretty average. I probably won't choose this hotel again in the future.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient, right at the end of the uphill walk, though it's about a ten-minute walk from Jinding Peak. The service was excellent. We booked during the off-season, so to get good value for money, we opted not to include breakfast, planning to just grab a quick bite before heading down the mountain. To our surprise, the hotel staff provided a complimentary breakfast for two, and it was incredibly hearty! It included congee, steamed buns, eggs, several stir-fried dishes, and pickles. The congee was thick and filling, keeping us full. The room has underfloor heating, which I recommend turning on in advance. We went up in late September, so it wasn't too cold; short sleeves were fine when the sun was out, but we needed thicker jackets for evenings or rain. At night, the heating was most comfortable around 22°C. Going higher made it too hot to sleep. Before turning it on, the floor temperature was around 16°C, and it took about two hours to reach the set 22°C. However, once it hit the target temperature, the heating seemed to keep going, making it too hot to sleep. So, it's better to keep it a bit lower. The bathroom in the room is a portable type, which I wasn't quite sure how to use. Also, after a shower, water pooled on the floor, making it quite messy. I hope this can be improved. Overall, having a room with hot showers and underfloor heating at the top of the mountain was really comfortable. If price isn't a concern, I highly recommend it; the experience was fantastic. P.S. Their stir-fried dishes were also quite good, with that wok-hei flavor. The seasoning was a little light, though. Since it's a bit cold on the mountain and many guests hike up, a bit more salt would be appreciated (unless the guests are elderly).
