Swissotel Foshan Guangdong Reviews

Actually this is the fourth time we have stayed. We have stayed here each visit to foshan however the food this time was boarding on unacceptable 1. The evening meal Buffet was terrible and we didn't return. 2. The breakfast standard below average across the Swiss hotels we stay in and in fact compared to last time it was unimpressive. 3. We also tried the alacart, frankly the service was terrible, we had to chase multiple times to order, to get drinks, didn't bother with deserts as we would have been there all night. You should close this if this is the best you can do. 4. The 51 restaurant was a beautiful spot as to how this was closed is beyond my comprehension. 5. The bar of the 51st seems run down and in need of update, no food or nibbles, I frankly don't know why you bother, the preparation of drinks is below previous standard of this location. 6. The only high light was the Chinese restaurant on the 5 floor we were looking forward to having the multi course duck only to be told the restaurant was not opened because it didn't have any bookings, this was at 1:00pm on the Wednesday as to how you think guests can do this is frankly unbelievable and checkin is not till 3:00pm Frankly for a 5 star hotel and for a Swiss hotel this was a very disappointing experience , when we come to foshan next year i will no longer book the hotel based on this level of food service. We enjoy the hotel evening as most times our suppliers take us out during the day, so we like a simple meal and relaxing time in the evenings. As I assume this is some sort of cost cutting it's seriously damaging what was a great central hotel.
