Room is big and the hotel upgraded our room with extra bed and room with balcony. Simple daily housekeeping available. The location is also walkable to Canton Tower.

From the hotel windows, you get direct views of the Canton Tower, and the nightscape is beautiful. It's only about a 15-minute walk to the Canton Tower, and you can also easily stroll to the nearby Haixin Bridge. Cross the bridge, and you're right at Asian Games Square and Haixinsha. The hotel environment is pleasant and spotlessly clean; even the kids enjoyed it. There are dining options available in the building itself. If you're craving authentic local cuisine, you'll find plenty of choices just a few streets behind. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Photos says a lot but theres more to it. Thats one cockroach out of the three creepy crawlies that was in my room. The first day we arrived, we were in room 515. When i walked in and settled down, within 5 minutes i started seeing clumps of hair flying out of nowhere on the floor, then i flipped the blanket up and saw that a piece of god knows who’s hair was UNDER the bed sheet. So i asked to change rooms, which they were okay with. We changed rooms (519) and they asked us to inspect, everything was okay initially except the sofa was stained which I have attached in the photos. I have asked them to lay a clean towel because that is probably the best they could do since room 515 was also like that. So we unpacked, and went out to see relatives and when we came home, my girlfriend went to the toilet. She flipped open the toilet seat and saw there was dried pee on it. She didn’t say anything thinking I was the one who made a mess when we first arrived, but I didn’t use the toilet….. Later on when we started seeing things that didn’t add up thats when we starting taking notice. We believe that people make mistakes so we left it be. When we went to the shower room there was quite a bit of water stains on the floor, the rough water stain texture. I wanted to open the blinds to sit on the balcony and look at the GZ tower but then as I laid on the indoor balcony bench, my leg got stuck to something sticky, and i started to get annoyed as we were told this room was “just cleaned”. There was cup stain marks on the bench not sure what it was but I turned on the light saw what it was and just closed the blinds and went to take a shower. I booked this hotel to enjoy the view however it was not a pleasant experience.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The environment was clean and comfortable, with fresh sheets and a relaxing atmosphere. The city view from my room was amazing. Everything met my expectations, and I’ll definitely book here again the next time I visit Guangzhou. Highly recommended

Great service

The lower floors are for hotel and the higher floors are residential so expect a lot of traffic at the lift. On Trip it says that some rooms have bathtubs. The staff said they did not. The image has an umbrella over the balcony but our units did not. The bathroom and couch could be cleaner. The staff speaks no English but you can talk to them thru the Trip app or they will link you to their WeChat. The front desk lady is very kind and helpful. They did help us find a spa. I have stayed in places without English speakers but they offer all the info you need--even if it is a paper that needs to be translated. However, the front desk lady had to answer so many texts. The pool is on 4th floor. No restaurant. No English TV channels but a nice spa music station. The screen project does not work with non-Chinese apps. They have nice robes. There was no refrigerator or information in the room. No room deliveries after 10pm. All information I received was because I asked. Excellent shower and high pressure water. Very comfy lighting, luxury bed and AC. The neighborhood is convenient for food, spa, stores and the Canton Tower area.

A bit disappointed with my room, and the funky smell coming from my bathroom (which was due to house keeping missing a few spots... ) was sickening. However, the service was good and it was easy to get around by taxi.

The best hotel in Guangzhou for such cheap prices amazing cleaning services, clean big room with amazing facilities, the view is incredible on the Guangzhou tower, the room is perfect, I have visited 5star hotels in Guangzhou but I will definitely come back to this hotel anytime I visit Guangzhou, it is definitely a hidden gem! There also is a huge terrace facing the Guangzhou tower! This is my favorite hotel, I will always recommend this hotel!

balcon is dirty. cleaner donot attention for balcon. i mean also room not good clean. especially ground floor not clean on time.

Beijing Road is the better choice for convenience and comfort. It’s steps from the metro , has multiple malls downstairs, and is close to popular hotels and dining options. Shiyi City Pros & Cons: ✔More cheaper compared to Beijing Road ✔ Spacious for families – Our room slept 2 adults + 3 kids comfortably. ✖ Poor upkeep – The building feels old, and the balcony was poorly maintained (chipped paint, rusty railings). ✖ Less convenient– Fewer nearby amenities compared to Beijing Road.

The hotel was well spaced and had a great view of the Canton Tower. Because it's a big building with more than 20 floors it’s basically a Hunger Games type of situation to get into the elevator. Other than that I would book this place again on my next trip to Guangzhou.

Loved our stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was spotless, and the rainfall shower was divine. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Nice location, 5-10 minutes walk by the river to Canton Tower.. Spacious room with complete amenities. Hassle-free check-in and check out. The only downside is the elevator access, only 1 elevator can access the floor which we had and people needs to fall in line to hop in. There’s also a nice restaurant downstairs which serves delicious cheesecakes and wines. Easy to get didi too.

Overall decent hotel in a residential building, the place was clean and the reception staff were always happy to help. None of the staff spoke English, however we were still able communication via an app called "Wechat" which is similar to Whatsapp, this app helps translate text messages both ways. The cleaning lady was very kind and lovely. Some very important things were missing which you find in most hotels. 1. No fridge 2. No microwave 3. No washer or dryer 4. Not much option to eat around the area either. 5. No sugar for tea or coffee. Any time we brought food we had to throw it once it's was cold because there was no option to warm it or even store in a fridge. Because of this we decided to not extend our stay... I think this hotel is only good for short stay 1 to 2 days. Also the staff seemed to access our room anytime we went out which we didn't quite like, we found curtains moved, TV switched on, it felt very invasive because we left our things around open and unattended there was no sense of privacy... this was not during cleaning process. *Do not flash any piece of toilet paper down the toilet, it will block it! *The room with balcony seemed to be a better option compared to the ones without. *Another strange thing was the police kept placing a big sign at the entrance telling tourists this building is not for hotels it's a residential building, the message said to ask for refund and call the police, we even saw the police yelling at the security guy.. we just disregarded them and went in, they didn't stop us.
