If you're with a few friends, enjoying a relaxing onsen after dinner is a relaxing way to get rid of any lingering feelings. Meal Style: Kaiseki cuisine. This is a matter of personal preference. I think it's fine, but some people used to beef and heavy drinking might not be accustomed to it. Environment: The inn's interior is thoughtfully designed with courtyards and pools, evoking the beauty of a traditional Japanese garden. It's quite nice. The ladies there are very sweet, and English is a basic communication barrier. Location: Shuzenji is located in central Izu, a relatively remote area. There aren't many tourist attractions nearby, and aside from the hot springs themselves, there's not much else to do. There aren't many restaurants near the inn, and they close early. You really need to be a fan of traditional Japanese culture and hot springs to visit here; otherwise, you'll find it boring.
