Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa ★★★★
"This was the worst room of our trip. I specifically booked a 28-square-meter room, but when I opened the door, I was shocked. There was absolutely no space for our two suitcases. I ended up having to put one on the table and move the air purifier to make space for the other by the door, but it still blocked it. It was so frustrating! I know rooms in Japan are small, which is why I specifically checked the size when booking, so they clearly gave me the wrong room. It looked like a business twin room. While the price might have seemed like a good deal, my main priority was getting a spacious room, so I ended up contacting Trip.com customer service. Plus, there was a constant strange noise in the room, and I couldn't tell if it was the sound of water flowing outside or something else."
Arai Ryokan ★★★★
"detailed mind attentive good location, next to river side"
Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji ★★★★★
"The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The environment was very beautiful and pleasant. The front desk staff could communicate fluently in English, explaining every step and detail very clearly. Their service attitude was excellent."
Hotel Takitei ★★★★
"This Japanese-style ryokan, offering a one-night stay with two meals, is excellent value for money. The hotel environment is fantastic, with the rooms overlooking lush green mountains. The hot spring is also quite good. However, the food wasn't great, especially dinner. The sashimi didn't look very fresh, and the pork hotpot wasn't tasty at all. The main course was chicken, which wasn't particularly impressive."
Yukairo Kikuya ★★★★
"Excellent hotel with a superb location. It has a suspension bridge within the premises, as well as outdoor and indoor hot springs that are rarely crowded, so you can almost always use them whenever you like. The dinner and breakfast offered were also exceptionally rich and varied."
Shirakabeso ★★★★
"Excellent service with great hospitality!"
Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei ★★★★★
"Everything was great!! The hotel's interior, the view from the balcony, and the staff's service. I definitely want to go back again!!"
LiVEMAX RESORT AMAGIYUGASHIMA ★★★
"I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. Being able to bathe in the hot spring whenever I want is the best thing. The price of the accommodation was very good value. There were many different kinds of sashimi for breakfast and dinner, and the tempura was warm and there was also grilled sweetfish with salt. The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. The food and the room were excellent."
Oni No Sumika ★★★★★
"Very good stay experience"

Yururi Nishiizu
"I don't recommend staying here if you don't have a pet. The room is spacious even for a single guest. The air conditioning, air purifier, and TV are all great. However, the front desk smells like dog, and the room smells bad too. Turning on the air purifier makes the smell even stronger (filter?). Even at 10:30 PM, the dog was still barking in the hallway. No one stopped it. I'm aware that this hotel's concept of being dog-friendly was outside of its target audience. However, since I was able to stay there, I would have liked to have a slightly more comfortable stay."
Yunohana-Tei
"The service was 100 points. The grandma was so serious. She explained everything to us one by one and tried hard to communicate with us. The hot springs are also nice, and the view from the rooftop is also good. Not to mention the food, the portion size and variety were beyond my expectations and the price-performance ratio was very high. The only drawback is that the wind in Nishi-Izu is too strong in winter. . There was a hurricane howling all night, very noisy. People who sleep lightly are advised to choose with caution in winter. Or wear headphones. Points were deducted for the window sound insulation and the strong winds in winter."
AlimSTAY IZU
"The hotel is unhelpful to its guests."
Itoen Hotel Toi
"Spacious and quiet room with beautiful sea view. Delicious dinner and breskfast. A bus stop just outside the hotel and the Toi pier about 10 minutes by walking."
Tofuya Resort & Spa Izu
"I felt that the taste of the food was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and had lunch with Japanese and Western dishes, but the deliciousness of Japanese food shines. I really liked the chef's seasoning. The toasted nori seaweed served for breakfast is in a wooden box and is warmed in the box. While eating, you can enjoy the texture of crispy grilled seaweed. The open-air bath in the room is also very good. I had time, so I did a 40 minute hike. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we could not see Mt.Fuji. It has become one of the memorable inns that I would like to visit again."
Ochiairo
"The Ochiaro is a special place. And we will miss it very much. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality, amazing meals( Michelin star). We experienced, hatsuyuki, in Ochairo, a magical place indeed. Special thanks to Vincent and Yuki for being our exceptional and thoughtful guides! We hope they can travel to Seattle, USA and visit us someday"
Loquat Nishiizu
"The food quality is very good! The service was excellent! The facilities are a bit old and will be more distinctive after renovation. The hot spring feels very comfortable, the water temperature is slightly high, but the natural feeling is very strong!"
Yugashima Golf Club & Hotel Resort
"I made a reservation to coincide with the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival. I took a hot spring bath as soon as I arrived, and the large indoor bath and outdoor rock bath had a feeling of openness that was really great. The quality of the spring water is very good and you won't get too hot, so you can enjoy it over and over again. I love that you can come in from 5am! When I took a walk outside at night, I was very moved by the starry sky. The staff are very kind and I am very satisfied overall. There was a golf course right in front of the hotel, so next time I would like to stay with friends and make a golf reservation."
Fugaku Gunjo
"The food was wonderful, and I highly recommend the open-air bath with a great view and the spacious rooms! This is a review of my stay at the Michelin-starred inn, "Fugaku Gunjo," a hotel overlooking the World Heritage site of Mt. Fuji. The room was spacious and the open-air bath was stylish and relaxing! I was glad that the hotel was close to the bus stop when I went by bus. Right next to the lobby was a restaurant with completely private rooms ♡ There were 8 rooms, one for each guest, so I was able to enjoy my private time. [Hotel Dinner] "Toi" A symphony of seasonal flavors with the scent of the land and the sea ~Amuse Gueule~ Blancmange of butternut squash from Shizuoka Prefecture Sea urchin, snow crab, caviar, and consommé jelly ~Entrées~ Salad of spiny lobster from West Izu and turnip and persimmon, with soy sauce and yuzu foam The special dish was deep-fried pufferfish from Numazu in kataifi The warm and fluffy flesh was a treat for the taste buds ~OTSUKURI~ Bluefin tuna Two kinds of white fish from Ito, fresh wasabi from Toi, and various garnishes Fish dishes ~Poissons~ Pan-seared abalone with anchovy-flavored beurre noisette sauce, served with local vegetables Meat Dish ~Viande principal~ Shizuoka Prefecture "Wagyu" Fillet Steak with Truffle Sauce and Roasted Local Vegetables ~OSYOKUJI~ Hamana Lake Eel Shirayaki Chazuke with Pickles Pour bonito broth over the fluffy eel and put it on top of the rice. There's nothing more to say, it was delicious and made me smile ♡ ~Avant Dessert~ General Leclerc (Pear) White Wine Jelly Pear Sorbet ~Desserts~ Benihoppe Strawberry Soup from Toi Yamada Farm ~Café Thé et Petit Fours~ With Petit Fours I had the iced tea ♡ They also made rice balls for me to eat in my room at night when I got a little hungry It was a very memorable and wonderful dinner. I had a great time! ◉ All rooms are 130 sq m and feature private open-air baths. Indoor bath: Luxury jet bath. ◉ Total of 8 rooms. ◉ Custom-made beds from Nippon Bed Co., Ltd., a supplier to the Royal Family (futons can be provided in Japanese-style rooms). ◉ Free drinks refrigerator with mineral water, beer, soft drinks, pudding, etc. ◉ High-quality natural brand MISUZU cosmetics. ◉ Abundant nightwear! (Bathrobes are also available.)"
Yagyu No Sho
"I heard that it was a wonderful inn, so I took my 1-year-old child here. Although it is a little far from the downtown area of Shuzenji Onsen town, it is within walking distance, and as you take a leisurely stroll through the local residential area, you will find Yagyu no Sho tucked away among the trees. The entrance is paved with gravel and has a nice sound, and when you enter the building, the room is beautiful from the entrance, and this time it was decorated with freshly harvested rice from Shuzenji. The painting of the group sparrow is also very nice and matches the atmosphere of the inn. You can feel the craftsmanship throughout the building, and the flower arrangements are beautiful. This time we stayed in the most affordable room, and it was spacious with a sunken kotatsu and a dirt floor, and the bath was large enough to accommodate a family of four. The interior of the room has been designed with various features such as the flooring, wood, walls, and ceiling, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of Japanese architecture. After being served matcha tea and sweets, I headed to the open-air bath. There was a bit of a walk up and down some stairs, but the bath was spacious and the greenery was beautiful. After the hot spring, you can take a rickshaw from Shuzenji Onsen to your accommodation for a 30-minute round trip, and then enjoy dinner. When it was time for dinner, the person in charge of the room came to greet me, and he was a very lovely and nice person who took care of me in various ways. The food is as good as its reputation, elaborately prepared, and both fun and delicious. I'm happy to be able to bring hot, freshly prepared food to my room. After that, pull up your futon, take a bath in your room, and go to bed. You can adjust the temperature of the bath, but since I don't like hot water, I asked for it to be 39 degrees. The futon is single-sized and a little thick, so if you are traveling with small children, you may be worried about it being a bit cramped and falling off. My child probably got out of the futon early and slept on the tatami mat because it was hot. LOL The open-air bath is open even at night, so if you're a couple, it's a good idea to go to the hot spring instead. We had a refreshing and delicious breakfast, took a quick dip in the other open-air bath, and then purchased Shuzenji's new rice and local specialty donko, which were displayed at the entrance and sold at the shop, before checking out in our room. The landlady greeted me at the entrance when I saw her off, and she was a wonderful woman. I think this is truly a top-level inn where you can bring your children. It was a truly wonderful stay. I would love to visit again with my family."
Futaritowani En
"Better than expected, clean and tidy! The hot spring in the room directly faces Mount Fuji, and you can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Fuji while sitting on the terrace! The service is top-notch, and the food is fresh and delicious! Each building is independent and quiet, absolutely worth the money!"
Shin Kaikatei Izumi
"WOW. What an amazing hotel. Get the room with the personal onsen and make sure your reservation includes breakfast and dinner for the best experience. The location is serene. The room is clean. The staff is polite and helpful. The FOOD is amazing. The onsen is relaxing. The beach is nearby. Definitely hoping to visit again."
Toi Fujiya Hotel
"I thought the room had an open-air bath, but it wasn't. That price is too high for that room. It must be a mistake. The foreign staff are hardworking and I like them. It's inconvenient that there are no mirrors in the room."
Omoideno Jinde
"Paid 180 USD for a room without shower and bath, and without breakfast! First time in 30 plus years! What a surprise! 花了180美元住了一间没有淋浴、没有浴缸、也不含早餐的房间!三十多年来第一次遇到!太惊讶了! シャワーもバスタブもなく、朝食も付いていない部屋に180ドルも払いました!30年以上で初めての経験です!本当に驚きました!"
Meijikan
"I booked the largest room, which was really spacious and offered great sea views. The hotel also has public hot springs, though there aren't many varieties."
