Yukairo Kikuya
"A beautiful hotel with amazing hot springs, including private ones for a more secluded experience. The scenery is stunning, perfect for taking lots of photos. They even offer ramen at night! Highly recommend to all hot spring lovers."
Sakahijiri Gyokushoen
"The Japanese garden is very interesting"
Arai Ryokan
"Very traditional onsen with rooms rebuilt but keeping the historical decoration and environment. Enjoyed very much the Japanese food and service.especially their breakfast. Dinner was not truly our taste on all dishes , mainly veggie and seafood. But in general very impressive experience and will recommend to friends who are looking for authentic Japanese Onsen ."
Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa
"This was the most pleasant surprise hotel on our trip to Izu! When I booked online, there were no twin rooms available, so I reserved a king-sized room. Upon arrival, I spoke with the front desk, and they graciously switched us to a Japanese-style room for a small additional fee. The decor was lovely, and the breakfast was excellent. The best part was the hotel's seven private onsen baths, available on a first-come, first-served basis. We enjoyed them twice! Highly recommended."
Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei
"Really good place to getaway. Was amazed by the amenities and how well kept the room was. So clean and new, onsen was amazing as well. Air was certainly very fresh."
Breezbay Shuzenji Hotel
"We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days as a family. We are a Japanese family. The price was reasonable, so we were somewhat prepared for some shortcomings, but personally, we were satisfied. [Good points] - The breakfast was delicious. The lineup was the same, but considering it was 1000 yen per meal, it was acceptable. Overall, the staff's service was good. - We were told it was a smoking room, but we didn't notice any smell. - The indoor bath was free of mold and dirt, and there were no problems. - We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. There were two beds and a comfortable space to relax, and it felt more spacious than expected. - The evening stroll around the area was fantastic, with the area lit up. [Points of concern] - It was generally dark at night, and the corridor leading to the open-air bath was particularly dim and scary. - While it was good that they accommodated us at the last minute for the dinner buffet, considering the 3500 yen price, our satisfaction level was low. Overall, I was very satisfied with the reasonably priced plan. I also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area both day and night. The people I met in the area made a very good impression. I would definitely like to visit the Shuzenji area again. Thank you very much."
Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji
"The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The environment was very beautiful and pleasant. The front desk staff could communicate fluently in English, explaining every step and detail very clearly. Their service attitude was excellent."
Oni No Sumika
"Avoid this hotel. The room was infested with bugs; I even found a rove beetle on the tatami mats. The bedroom, in a fairly large space, had air conditioning; the other rooms didn't. In this weather, I was sweating even after showering, and even using the bathroom was sweating. The worst part was the receptionist at this hotel. She walked ahead to show us to our room. I was carrying two large suitcases with my child (the floor was paved with cobblestones, so I couldn't drag them, I had to carry them), which was incredibly strenuous. She looked back and not only didn't offer to help, she didn't even offer a polite "Can I help you?""
Tatsuta Ryokan
"We chose this destination for our 25th wedding anniversary trip, and we were thoroughly impressed with the excellent service, delicious and well-prepared meals, and the lovely accommodation. The staff were friendly and responsive, the facilities were clean, and it's a wonderfully peaceful place for a relaxing getaway."

Yunohana-Tei
"It was better than expected. There was a grandma who spoke good English and was very patient. We booked two meals per stay. The dishes are different every day and unpredictable. They mainly focus on fish and there are many kinds. I don’t want to waste it, but I really can’t finish it."
AlimSTAY IZU
"The hotel's service was terrible. This hotel uses an automated check-in system, where room numbers and other details are supposed to be emailed on the day of arrival. I didn't receive the email on the day of arrival, and since I wasn't informed about this system beforehand, I couldn't inquire about it. I was confused when I arrived at the hotel and saw the notice posted. I tried calling the hotel multiple times but couldn't get through. I contacted trip.com, and while I was in the process of changing my hotel, I received the email with my room number and other details. I was kept waiting for about 40 minutes after my initial call, and it was extremely unpleasant. Forgetting to send the email might be forgivable, but if the hotel is going to be automated, they should at least have someone who can reliably answer the phone. On the positive side, the hot spring was very pleasant (although the black sediment was a concern; I hope it's not limescale)."
Itoen Hotel Toi
"Not bad, a hotel in Izu"
Ochiairo
"My family and I stayed 3 nights in room Tokonatsu and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff is extremely friendly and they did their very best to meet all our expectations (although their English was quite limited). Our room was well maintained and very quiet, with a nice garden. They have an excellent restaurant and served 3 very different, high quality, traditional meals during our stay. Breakfast and lunch were also included in the package, as well as the laundry, which was amazing. They also have a large and beautiful private onsen which we could book twice at the last minute without any problem. An unforgettable experience in the midst of the beautiful Izu peninsula. You did yo book well in advance though, as they are in high demand!"
Tofuya Resort & Spa Izu
"I felt that the taste of the food was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and had lunch with Japanese and Western dishes, but the deliciousness of Japanese food shines. I really liked the chef's seasoning. The toasted nori seaweed served for breakfast is in a wooden box and is warmed in the box. While eating, you can enjoy the texture of crispy grilled seaweed. The open-air bath in the room is also very good. I had time, so I did a 40 minute hike. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we could not see Mt.Fuji. It has become one of the memorable inns that I would like to visit again."
Yugashima Golf Club & Hotel Resort
"I traveled by car by myself and booked breakfast in advance. The breakfast was Japanese cuisine on the day and tasted very good. The hotel room was comfortable and the environment was quiet, which was very good."
Loquat Nishiizu
"Is over my expectations, service super good, very delicious food . Room super nice, I will stay again soon. Highly recommend for couple , everything are perfect. stayed in the biggest villa , I was the best experience in my life . Only the thing not prefect was no parking inside the hotel due to the villas are 170 years so no space for it . But very very good . 👍👍👍"
Futaritowani En
"The view is perfect (if the weather is good) and we were lucky during our stay. Thanks for the hospitality."
Toi Fujiya Hotel
"This hotel boasts an excellent location and is quite spacious. The outdoor onsen experience was fantastic. The pure Japanese-style room was large and comfortable, and overall, I was very satisfied. I'll definitely come back next time! I even forgot my medicine box in the room, and they kindly delivered it to Toi Gold Mine for me. Many thanks! 🙏"
Fugaku Gunjo
"A very peaceful place and the staff are super helpful. Restaurant is definitely worth the Michelin 👍🏻"
Shin Kaikatei Izumi
"Very nice hotel with beautiful sea views from the rooms. If you get a chance, get the room with the private onsen on the balcony which is amazing. The public onsen also has an outdoor area with a great view of the sea. The staff were super friendly, helpful and I can only recommend this hotel. About 20 - 25 mins walk to the left of the hotel, you'll also have great views of Mt. Fuji if the weather is good."
Meijikan
"This was a great place to stay. It’s on the edge of town but as it’s not a big town you can still reach everywhere by foot. We drove in but a bus is also available and the stop is close. Stunning views from our room have been here in both clear and raining weather with zero issues. Lovely staff that did their best to help whenever possible."
Omoideno Jinde
"The room is not big, Japanese style, but very clean. The best thing is the breakfast, dinner and banquet cuisine. Each dish is very delicate, attentive and delicious, exceeding expectations. The soup is a private soup, garden soup, very good 👍"
