Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa ★★★★
"Aside from being expensive, there's absolutely nothing else to complain about. The hotel staff were proactive and enthusiastic. They saw us taking photos by the entrance and offered to help, mentioning they could also speak Chinese as they had studied in China. There's a free welcome drink, free late-night snacks, and welcome ice cream. Plus, there's a supermarket right on the ground floor of the hotel. Both breakfast and dinner were incredibly abundant. And there are free massage chairs available for use right by the entrance to the open-air hot spring bath."
Arai Ryokan ★★★★
"A truly atmospheric place, an unforgettable experience. A great onsen for a first experience. We drove from Osaka, and it was easy to get there. The staff are very nice and kind, always happy to help."
Hotel Takitei ★★★★
"The hotel is quite old and dated."
Yukairo Kikuya ★★★★
"The room had a private hot spring, the facilities were new, and the environment was beautiful. We could walk to nearby attractions. The dinner selection was good, and the hotel itself was quite large with a charming corridor. It's set in a big private garden, which is great for photos!"
Laforet Shuzenji Sanshisuimei ★★★★★
"We enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Onsen is so relaxing . The food is good and staffs are friendy ."
Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji ★★★★★
"Fantastic hotel. The room was spacious, new, and offered a direct view of Mount Fuji, complete with a private in-room onsen. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful."
LiVEMAX RESORT AMAGIYUGASHIMA ★★★
"The excellent service, the large public bath, and the abundant and delicious buffet menu made for a very satisfying stay. I would definitely like to stay here again next time. Thank you very much."
Tatsuta Ryokan ★★★★
"There are two characteristics of the hotel, kawadoka cuisine and four open-air private hot springs. Let's talk about kawadoka cuisine first. The whole cuisine is very rich. The service staff will prepare it for you in advance at the time you make an appointment. You can enjoy the scenery while eating the cuisine. As for the hot springs, you can check whether the hot springs are in use through the website, which is very convenient. This time I only soaked in two due to time constraints. I will try the other two next time. The overall service is also very good. When you leave the hotel, the hotel will send you to a station by bus. Just confirm the route with the hotel in advance."
Irori No Yado Sankichi ★★★
"My husband and I stayed for two nights over Chinese New Year. The inn is located in a very quiet hot spring town, and the owners are a very kind couple. I really loved this place; the hosts were excellent, and the food was simple but made with fresh, local ingredients and absolutely delicious. Although the location is a bit remote, that's precisely why it's perfect for relaxing and getting some good rest. Highly recommended! 👍"

"We were a little reluctant to check out this morning, but we'll definitely come back next time. The food in the room was beyond our expectations—it was amazing! The two elderly ladies spent several hours preparing for our meal from check-in to dinner. They prepared a sumptuous breakfast early in the morning. Thank you! It was an unexpected surprise during our trip."
Shin Kaikatei Izumi
"The hotel's value-added services are very considerate. From when the guests leave the car to when they return to the hotel room and then to the restaurant, all the employees do their best to serve the guests. The meal is full and delicious. Thank you again for your thoughtful arrangement for me and my two friends. I also wish your company a prosperous business. I will also introduce your hotel's services to other friends and recommend that they stay at your hotel!"

"I ordered this for a customer, I don't know if it's good or not"
Tofuya Resort & Spa Izu
"I'd been interested in this inn for a while. The Yoshina River flows through the grounds, which are the size of two Tokyo Domes. There are bridges within the building, as well as two old bridges. In addition to the main and west buildings, the inn is packed with amenities, including a thatched-roof restaurant, a Taisho-era lounge, a bakery, and a riverside terrace! There are five hot spring baths, two of which are private. We arrived by shuttle bus from Shuzenji Station. We first checked in at the entrance building, which has a wonderful atmosphere with its high ceilings, pillars, and beams. From our room, we could see the beautiful Japanese garden. We strolled around while looking at a map of the grounds. Simply strolling the grounds was enjoyable. We went to the open-air bath, which alternates between men and women depending on the time. After enjoying the hot springs and the greenery, we headed to the lounge to quench our thirst. We enjoyed beer and sparkling wine. After enjoying a variety of elaborate dishes, each made with carefully selected ingredients, we took a minibus to a spot where we could see fireflies! This was the best part. From a bridge over the Yoshina River upstream from the inn, we were able to see the fireflies glowing yellow-green in the pitch-black darkness. We returned to the inn and went to the private bath we had reserved. We then went to the "Kodakara no Yu" hot spring, where Oman had taken a cure in hopes of being blessed with children. Before breakfast, we took a walk to Fujimi-daira, a one-hour round trip walk from Oman's garden. We could see Mount Fuji faintly. We had a Western breakfast in the retro atmosphere of the second floor of the Taishokan building. Here too, we were able to spend a luxurious time. After breakfast, we bought some bread and fruit cake as souvenirs at the bakery, and then had a toast to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the lounge! I'm a TV addict, but I had such a fulfilling time here that I didn't have time to watch TV. When you think about it, it's great value for money! This is one of the inns I'd like to return to."
Yugashima Golf Club & Hotel Resort
"I made a reservation to coincide with the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival. I took a hot spring bath as soon as I arrived, and the large indoor bath and outdoor rock bath had a feeling of openness that was really great. The quality of the spring water is very good and you won't get too hot, so you can enjoy it over and over again. I love that you can come in from 5am! When I took a walk outside at night, I was very moved by the starry sky. The staff are very kind and I am very satisfied overall. There was a golf course right in front of the hotel, so next time I would like to stay with friends and make a golf reservation."
Toi Fujiya Hotel
"The room was on the smaller side, but the public hot springs are nice!"
Shirakabeso
"A truly comfortable and delightful hotel! The food was exquisite and incredibly delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that the wasabi hot pot set menu also came with sashimi, Wagyu beef, and abalone? Or was it soft-shelled turtle? (The lobster in the picture was ordered separately.) Overall, the food was prepared with great care. The hotel has a traditional Japanese style, and the courtyard is absolutely beautiful. Although our English isn't great, the front desk staff was very patient and meticulous in explaining all the rules to us. During meals, she even introduced each dish and spoke a few words of Chinese – we really loved her! There was an unexpected and wonderful surprise when we checked out: all the staff came out to bid us farewell and even held up a banner that said, "Please come again!" It was so touching and made us so happy; the emotional value was completely maximized. The room we booked included a private onsen, which was available 24 hours a day. We will definitely be back!!!"
Yagyu No Sho
"I stayed in the Jōgen Room, a sukiya-style room. I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the food and hot springs to the hospitality. There were also many paintings of natural plants and flowers hanging on the walls, and I became a fan when I learned they were the work of Fumiko Hori. The hanging scroll depicting an uninterrupted clear stream was by Keiko Yamashita."
Futaritowani En
"The hotel is very comfortable to stay in. I drove here with my friends. The proprietress came to welcome me during dinner, which was very emotional. The kimonos were also very beautiful, and the private bath in the room was very comfortable."
Yunohana-Tei
"The entire building is covered with tatami mats, even the bathroom, so after the sauna I was able to cool down leisurely on the tatami mats in the open-air bath. The food was delicious and filling, with dishes that were served to my room and I was able to relax and enjoy them all, which was great. As we made our reservation at the last minute, there were no vacancies and we weren't able to reserve a room with an open-air bath, but as there are only just under 40 rooms at full capacity, it was great that we had the large public bath almost to ourselves and were able to relax."
Atarayo Nishiizu Onsen
"Anyway, all the staff were very friendly and the service was great. It was a ryokan that I would definitely like to use again. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful, and the open-air bath in the room was also very comfortable ♨️ There were many types of yukata, so it was fun to choose! The food was also very delicious, and the course meal at night was all luxurious and very tasty, which impressed me. Drinks are charged separately, but everything was delicious! I recommend Mt. Fuji Cider 🗻💗 Breakfast was a buffet, and meals were prepared for each person. The buffet food and the set meal were both delicious, and both my boyfriend and I ate it all up 😋 I have no complaints, so when I come to Izu, I will stay here again! Thank you so much! !"
Meijikan
"The room is a classic Japanese style, large and spacious, with a balcony offering a wonderful sunset view. I highly recommend the one-night-two-meals package; breakfast and dinner offer a wide variety and a pleasant dining environment. The bathing area reveals its rich history, with the sulfur traces at the outlet particularly noticeable. Transportation is also conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the station."
Musouan Biwa
"I arrived at the hotel just 5 minutes before check-in closed. Check-in time was a bit tight; I needed to check in before 5 PM. After a hurried 30-minute gold rush at Toikinsan, I hurried over. The hotel has two public private hot spring baths on the third floor. Each room has a private hot spring bath on its outdoor terrace. Enjoying the sea view, the scenery, and soaking in the hot spring bath is wonderful."
