A good location surrounding with lots of shops & restaurants. Friendly counter staff - Maggie, Alice, Terry, Alan, Ivan, Benny and Coco. Checked in date same as my birthday and hotel has free upgraded my room to a larger room. Such an unforgettable memories. Thanks for the lovely arrangement which has made my day. Toilet glass door a bit hard to pull but still ok for us.

A Truly Reliable Hotel My family and I have just returned from our fifth stay at the Regal Hotel Kowloon, and it consistently exceeds our expectations. It has firmly become our go-to home whenever we're in Hong Kong. First and foremost, the value for money is outstanding. In a city known for its compact spaces, the rooms at the Regal are surprisingly spacious and always well-appointed. You truly get more room to relax compared to other hotels in this category. What truly makes the Regal special, however, is its people. The staff are exemplary in their professionalism and courtesy. From the housekeeping team to the porters, everyone offers a warm and polite greeting. A special commendation must go to the Front Desk staff—they are efficient, incredibly helpful, and always have a solution-ready attitude that makes check-in and any queries a complete breeze. The location is another massive win. You are immersed in a vibrant local neighbourhood with a fantastic array of authentic Hong Kong restaurants right on your doorstep. And when you're ready for some retail therapy, the prime shopping districts are just a short and pleasant walk away, making it the perfect base to explore from.

The room is big and the bathroom is ok. The view was unmatched! I asked for a room away from the elevator and luckily could see the marina. Breakfast is good and varied, location is great. Nothing stood out in particular but i would recommend it. We stayed during a typhoon T10 and would’ve liked the hotel to make more recommendations to the guests, who are probably not used to experiencing this type of weather. I would’ve felt safer if some instructions on safety precautions or evacuation were left in the rooms.

This hotel is perfectly situated in a prime location near to railway lines, making it easy to explore all the best attractions. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were well-maintained and clean, and the staff Leo was extremely helpful to arrange early check-in even though it was a busy time. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great stay in the heart of the city.”

No drinking water(paying or free), no ice, smoking smell in a non smoking floor even with air purifier.  Carpets have stains, toilet seat is off from its location. Front desk adding extra charge due to kids are over 11 (which is true but would be nice if just giving a reminder, it’s same type of room anyway).  Can’t open the curtain due to terrible building views.  Great location though

Even though we checked in late, the staff at the front desk were super friendly and even gave us a room upgrade! Everyone in the lobby was really helpful, and we felt totally comfortable asking questions. We’ll definitely be back, the service was great, the location is close to the station, and there are tons of restaurants and bars nearby!

Great hotel with affordable price. I travel 2 people and the hotel provide me the twin room haha. Its no problem because we are old couple haha. Its just a mirror remind to young couple lol. The room was extremely clean. But there is no amenities at all. You have to self-supply even water (similar to some of taiwan hotel). In general, its great at that price. I have my own running around Victoria harbour every morning, thats great!!!! Highly rcm to newly tourisers

Nice hotel on the Kowloon side, sure a bit old but still very good condition and status. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to bad weather, this was my expected highlight. Check-in was a bit a annoying, took by far too long compared to other hotels but hey, if it takes a few minutes more, not nice but also no drama

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

  • Tsim Sha Tsui: Tsim Sha Tsui, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, is one of the most representative and bustling areas in the city. It boasts a rich historical background and a modern appearance, and is renowned for its busy commercial district and multicultural characteristics. It features luxury shopping centers, internationally renowned hotels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, it retains historical traces, with many ancient buildings and museums. Showcase Hong Kong's culture and history. And don't forget to take a stroll along the Victoria Harbour at night and enjoy the breathtaking night view of Harbour City!
  • Sham Shui Po: Neon-lit electronics graveyards hide 80HKD(≈15.6 AUD) coffin hostel beds above secret hipster cafes. Steps from the cyberpunk Apliu Street flea market (protip: hunt for retro cameras at 7am before tech geeks swarm). Hong Kong’s Khao San Road—backpackers slurp $18 fishball noodles under dystopian signage, but post-11pm, it morphs into a Blade Runner set.
  • Central & Lan Kwai Fong: By day, finance bros sprint through IFC Mall; by night, Champagne soaks historic cobblestones. Gay bars hide behind Hollywood Road graffiti, with designer hotels (1200−3000+HKD≈235-587 AUD) along the Mid-Levels Escalator. Live for 3am chilli crab with baijiu shots? This is your neon-drenched playground—but avoid NYE: LKF becomes a champagne-supernova warzone where stilettos jam in storm drains.

  • Victoria Peak Tram: To reach the summit of Victoria Peak, taking one of the world's oldest and most renowned Peak Trams is definitely an unforgettable experience! The entire railway is pulled by steel cables. The train climbs up the slope from an altitude of 28 meters to 396 meters (about 1,300 feet), and passengers can overlook the Victoria Harbour along the way. The tall buildings and thick bushes all seem to have fallen to one side. It's truly a wonderful feeling!
  • Temple Street Night Market: Temple Street Night Market, is a night market in Hong Kong that is full of authentic flavors. It is famous for its unique market atmosphere, a wide variety of goods and street snacks. To fully experience the charm of the Temple Street Night Market, it is recommended to visit after 8 p.m. At that time, the stalls are most complete and the atmosphere is the liveliest.
  • Chi Lin Nunnery at Sunset: Chi Lin Nunnery is a Buddhist temple located on Diamond Hill in Hong Kong, renowned for its unique Tang-style architecture and exquisite garden landscapes. Outstanding
TTim NazarovHad a couple days stay at these apartments. A few thing that I may say for those looking to know wether it is worth it or not 1. Location - is great, a few minutes walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui metro stations, ferry, 24 hour 7-eleven etc. 2. Room with a balcony is a must have - you’re basically paying for you personal spot with a harbor view which is fantastic 3. Rooms have everything you need and are spacious. We had a washing and drying machine, fridge, stove. Nothing to add here 4. Rooms filling is great 5. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly from reception to the pool and restaurant. 5* service here 6. The connecting floor and restaurant area are just stunning. Feels like you’re walking inside someone luxury apartment - big chess for children, other table games, view spots to chill I front of the great view, various art installations. It’s a great place to be What I can not understand is how in that wonderful place it can be such a mediocre kitchen. I’m not particularly picky on the food, conbini foods and Don Quijote fried chicken are fine for me, but that was something unexpected. I would highly suggest changing the kitchen to something more appropriate to the overall level of the apartment. Hong Kong has a billion fantastic kitchen options but that was around European 3* old hotel experience, unfortunately. It just didn’t taste anyhow, nothing. The buns were not fresh, the salad was not fresh, eggs were not done correctly, though deserts were fine. Anyway, hope this helps somebody

MMewiiiAs a frequent traveler to Hong Kong, I’d say this hostel is my top favorite as of the moment and we’re already planning to book again for our next year travel back to HK. Location-wise, it’s the best. Walking distance to the harbour, nearby malls like Silvercord, K11 Art Mall, Mira Mall, and Harbour City, surrounded by restaurants and fast food chains, a grocery in front, and two MTR exits (A1 with lift and escalators going up and down, and A2 with escalator going up and stairs). It is also few blocks away from Bakehouse (😆). In terms of room size for 3 pax, it’s livable and pretty spacious as compared to our room on the 9th floor last year 🤭 from the same building. We have 5 luggages - 2 carry ons and three medium check-in luggages, and yet there’s still space for the mini table and chair and we still have space to move inside the room. I love their big glass windows which give us the best view of Nathan Road. They also offer water refilling dispenser which is a big saver because bottled waters in HK are pretty expensive! Stayed here for 6 nights and got new towels everyday after the room has been cleaned, and bottled water replenishes. Rooms are clean and looks the same as advertised in the pictures. Only cons I would say is that the shower area doesn’t have a door or divider so water splashes everywhere and floor gets flooded, but still tolerable. I would also like to suggest having a microwave for food reheating. 😁 aside from that, everything you need is here. In terms of room rates, price is okay and expected for HK standard; still cheaper than booking a hotel room from known hotels in this location which would also require security deposit. As for this hostel, no need for security deposit. Thanks to Trip.com and was able to get an early bird rate for this room. For security concerns, the building has security personnels when you enter, CCTVs are working in elevators and specific areas, hostel floor is secured with passcode which can only be opened with guest keycards. Room security doors are also up-to-date or modern. I love it!! Kudos also to Filipina housekeepers for being so approachable, helpful and kind to us during our stay. While the boss is very hands on in reaching out in WeChat for any concerns and also provided guide around the area and tourist attractions. SUPER RECOMMENDED!!! Loved and enjoyed our stay. We already miss the view. See you again next year! 🩷

GGuest UserThe room is VERY CLEAN and comfortable cozy once you're inside. You have a VERY QUIET comfortable private space of your own once inside. All amentities were included : showgel, brushes, blowdryer, mini fridge, tea kettle n all(even washing service). The wall plugs were the traveller-friendly type w/ usb charger in them, one can just plug-in all your phone devices n electronic gadgets in them and start charging. The air conditioning and the cleaniness made the room felt comfortable cozy inside. The atmosphere is very warm n home-like in this hostel with helpful staffs. They provided free washing service and managed to give back the washed clothes. The doors have two levels (front door, then your room door) and uses digital-number entry(not the swipe card type), cameras are everywhere in hallway, you feel safer inside. Location is just at the heart of the city central from everywhere (main shopping, food, main tourist sites) by foot, just 1min walk right outside the T.S.T main A1 exit, you won't miss it. Greatest affordable Value overall for the great central location, cleaniness n comfortableness of rooms inside, n warm overall environment w/ helpful attentive staff inside. Would Definitely book this place again.!

WWeichenmeierqihangThe hostel is inside the Chungking Mansions. The Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right outside the door. You can see the Victoria Harbour within 400 meters walking south. It is convenient to go anywhere. There are many restaurants opened by Southeast Asian Indians on the first floor, mostly curry, as well as some snack grocery convenience stores and currency exchange windows. The environment is relatively messy and old. The elevator space is very small, and there is a large flow of people going up and down the stairs, and the waiting time is long; you may even encounter people using passenger elevators to transport liquefied gas cylinders, which is a safety issue. The front desk of the hostel seems to be Indian as well, and you have to communicate in simple English and gestures. The room was originally arranged and the room card was given, but when I was waiting for the elevator, they came to change it for me temporarily, which made me alert. The interior of the building is very complicated, and it is easy to get lost. After taking the elevator under the guidance of the waiter, you have to go up the stairs to get to the room on the top floor. Some areas are still under renovation. Entering the room, the area is very small, with a bed, a small table, a place to stand, and a toilet, that's it. The facilities are also relatively old and simple. There is friction between the door and the door frame, and it is difficult to open. The online reservation is for a window, but there is no window, which is not in line with expectations. The bed is a little damp, and the blanket does not feel very clean. There is a refrigerator under the small table, which is an unexpected surprise, although it is a bit old. The air conditioner and water heater are both controlled by independent switches, which is very convenient. Charging requires a British standard socket converter. I brought one myself. If you don’t bring one, you can also buy it in the small shop downstairs. There are many. The shower head is a bit short and the height cannot be adjusted. It is not very convenient to take a shower. The hostel does not provide bath slippers, so you need to prepare them yourself. There are water dispensers, a larger refrigerator, free coffee and sugar in the public area. It is relatively quiet at night. In the early morning (around seven o'clock), there will be talking and walking outside the door, which is a bit noisy.
