"Well, from what I booked, it was supposed to be a 2-bedroom apartment. However, I was given a 1bed (Room.303), and when I went down to enquire, the reception lady wasn't helpful and blamed it on the app. Then I had to ask for a wifi password, which I would have assumed you would be given at reception. I ordered something, and when I went down to get it, the same reception lady gave me a bit of attitude when asking her how to open the main door so I could collect. Now I'm not normally one to complain, but I guess she didn't realise she was dealing with a person who has worked over 15 years in reservations, and I am very much aware of how OTAs work. I am still very upset about the wrong room choice I was given and made to feel like I'm the one who made an error. Then there was NO iron and hairdryer in the room. Apparently, they don't have any available from what I gathered from the housekeeping lady. Besides that, the housekeeping lady was exceptional, and the apartment was very clean upon check-in. Hopefullysomeone from the place will address these issues."

"Wonderful stay! Sam & Janice are spectacular hosts, Pat & Shadi are phenomenal ladies that cook up a killer breakfast! The doggos are very friendly too! I am feeling very refreshed after my stay here, I loved the vibe and felt right at home! See you soon 🌷"

"Good location, very close to Chinatown and large comprehensive supermarket. As a self-driving tourist, parking and sightseeing are very convenient here."

"Pros Good location if you want shopping. A couple of bars nearby. Good selection of restaurants in the 2 malls very close. Tea/coffee provided Small room but very comfortable. Decent breakfast Cons Safe instructions not correct - they didn't match the buttons on the actual safe Noise from corridoor - incredible, loud, ongoing, either doors opening/closing or people just shouting, talking loudly - i've never come across such ignorance in a hotel. No bottled water and the bottled water in reception is massively over priced but apparently you can drink the tap water"

"This was an interesting experience because as we arrived, we had police vans parked in the parking. Of course there’s any visitors seeing this. It causes alarm because you are not quite sure why they come there. The room was very big and everything was clean, but the noise was almost unbearable. All hours there were people coming in and out so if you want to relaxing vacation, this is not the place. And unless we had a room that was not located in the right area, I’m not sure. The restaurant on the hotel premises was good and the food was tasty and there were many options with lovely music and the vibe was great. There was also a swimming pool that we did not use because we went in winter but it looked pretty good. There were no slippers and robes for us to use, which did not add that luxury experience. Someone had allowed us to use their Netflix for several days before it got cut off and we were not sure how to watch TV at all in the room was not really that fun. Fortunately we had sent in close by and many other things to do and we had hired a car (the Avis is very close by which is wonderful and convenient) so we spent our time wandering around which was also wonderful. Overall, I would give this a 3 star out of 5."

"We booked a Deluxe room. The floor wasn’t clean, the bed sheets had stains, no carpet/rug and there was so much noise from the guys cutting trees outside."

"If I go to Joburg again I’ll definitely stay in at this hotel, the service is great, they’re super kind. The rooms are clean and the also spacious. The prices per night it is very affordable. The amenities is perfect you’ll have the mall behind the hotel. *sorry I don’t have photos, I just made video but I can’t upload it*"

"Breakfast is rich and very quiet, it is safe to be guarded by the iron gate! By the river, you can see birds such as wild geese and herons. There is a microwave oven and a coffee machine, but Chinese dinner is too simple."
