Hotel Cypress Karuizawa Reviews

Hotel is located about a 20 min walk from JR Karuizawa. If you have luggage, probably easier to take a taxi from the Jr station. The front office staff are friendly and helpful and make me feel very welcome at the hotel. Room is spacious and clean with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven . Very useful ! Hotel is close proximity to a supermarket and bakery. Definitely will stay at this hotel when I return to Karuizawa.

The hotel is pretty decent. It's conveniently located just diagonally across the street from a McDonald's. The rooms come with cooking facilities, and there's a large supermarket nearby where you can buy groceries to prepare your own meals. There's also a hot spring bath on the lower level. Plus, the small path on the other side of the hotel offers pleasant views.

Facilities: The rooms are very spacious; we were assigned a garden-view room. It seems to be primarily frequented by Japanese locals. The hotel also features a sauna and a hot spring (onsen). Cleanliness: Good. They don't automatically offer daily room cleaning; you just need to place your used towels outside the door for fresh ones. Location: It's a bit far from the train station, requiring at least a ten-minute walk. However, this isn't an issue for locals, as most guests arrive by car. Service: There's a ********* staff member at the front desk who speaks Chinese. The rest of the staff also speak good English. Price: Excellent value for money!

Very nice hotel in quiet location. Good welcome drinks but only btw 2pm to 5pm. Very near to Delicia supermarket.

Service was excellent. Plenty of carpark spaces for overnight parking as well if you have rented a car.

It's an excellent stay after spending the previous 4 days in Tokyo. The room is spacious, with a mini kitchen and large fridge, small dining table, bar table, and good view. Around 10-15 min walk from train station. Will definitely stay again in Karuizawa.

Room is spacious with mini pantry and cooking facilities. But the renovation is a bit old-fashioned. Some renovation may be needed. Overall environment and facilities are quite impressive based on what I paid.

The room is very spacious. There's a McDonald's and a large supermarket conveniently located nearby. It's about 1 kilometer from Karuizawa Station, and the surrounding area is very quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.

This is a fantastic hotel, ideal for family trips. They offer Chinese-speaking staff, which is very helpful. There's a large supermarket right next door and a McDonald's just across the street. The hotel breakfast is superb, with a great selection of both Western and Japanese dishes. They even have an underground hot spring bath (onsen)! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Karuizawa.

Great hotel.  Large rooms and excellent service.  Location is convenient. Nice Spa bath facilities.  Buffet breakfast-especially selections-can be improved to other hotels standards.  But service personnel was better than most!

The room had an oversized coffee table, leaving no space for our luggage. On top of that, the room felt quite dated.

This hotel is a bit remote to those not driving . But the rate is very reasonable and by taxi is short distance to everywhere near train and outlet for shopping n food . The hotel restaurant for dinner is very good with live music and cost is very reasonable with good service . But you need to do reservation in advance . There is a big supermarket a few steps away that you could buy fresh produce to cook simple meal in your room’s kitchen . The public pool is sufficient and cleanliness is fair . Overall a value for money hotel .
