Haad YAO Bayview Resort & Spa Reviews

We were welcomed (or should I say unwelcome) to an extremely rude lady who struggled to find our booking for a good half an hour. We provided her with all necessary details (passports, booking numbers etc.) and did not receive even one apology for the delay in checking us in. We have since read the reviews to find our experience wasn’t at all unique! There are so many beautiful places to stay along this stretch of beach, and so I would suggest not booking here!! All the other staff were respectful and happy enough (except for the one staff member who snuck his phone around the corner to take a picture of us), however the extent of her abruptness and annoyance at us (for doing absolutely nothing wrong) definitely clouded our whole experience. She also proceeded to yell at another guest during this encounter. The building is are very strange and eerie and we had a good 5 minutes of steep stairs every time we needed to leave or return to our room. Most of our showers were cold. There was also a hole in our door which you could clearly see through - this made me very uncomfortable and I had to cover it up myself (room 1303) Overall a below average stay… go somewhere else!

We did not get the room we booked at first. However we did get cheap upgrade to a great bungalow with a nice view. The restaurant was not good at all and the breakfast service was poor. Customer service was poor.

Absolutely discusting o paid for a room with a balcony and got a box room which smelt so bad I walked straight out do not fall for the beautiful pictures the pool was full of green algae the nats are out in force you wouldn’t let an animal sleep in there and free breakfast believe me I walked past the kitchen u wouldn’t eat from in there either

Best price for on the beach accommodation, basic rooms but amazing location and free breakfast.. its my second time this year staying here, economical and super friendly front desk .. like a family, love it

Hotel is huge but ugly and dated. Room was specious. Higher level floors have a very nice view of sea on one side, and a view of hills on the other, but there was no elevator so going up and down was kind of pain. Pool was in unswimable condition. Shower-head had tiny holes, not enough for a decent shower, had to take it out. No hot water. Balcony door was broken and very difficult to operate. Disappointing overall.

All good, friendly staff and helpful

The place has great views with great service & very clean. The problem is its positioning & lack of trees. On the side of a hill it faces the hot sun all day & with no tree protection is melting every afternoon. The pool was green & murky when I stayed.

A regular simple three-star hotel. Convenient location of the hotel. Not far from Malibu Beach, as well as a beach where you can cross to another island along the isthmus. The hotel has a normal beach.

We booked a room with a balcony. When checking in, they gave us a terrible room with a view of the utility rooms, which smelled of dampness and was dark, we went to the reception and after that they moved us to a good room with a balcony and a view of the sea. The building itself is really strange, you can get lost. If you live, then only in a room with a balcony, but there are rooms with a view of the wall. You can call a taxi at the reception, but you need to bargain. They charge 150 baht to Tons of Rock. Also 150 to Mae Hada. It takes about an hour to get to Full Moon Party on Haad Rin, there from the hotel we were taken as a group in a minivan for 200, back for 400 (not from the hotel to Songoeo). Despite the 2nd floor, there were a lot of mosquitoes. Breakfast was paid for in advance, but you can buy it on the spot. The hotel is located at the end of the beach, but the beach is small, so it is not far to 7/11 and a cafe. We vacationed in May, there was low tide, the water was knee-deep.

The pool, as already written in the reviews, was green, with frogs, mosquitoes and other creatures. When asked why the pool has not been repaired yet, they shrugged their shoulders and promised that they would do it tomorrow. But the miracle did not happen... out of the 4 nights paid, we stayed 2 and left for Haad Rin. In general, the hotel is not bad for its money, but without a pool it is just awful. The beach in this place is dirty, sewage flows from the hotels directly onto the sand, it stinks, constant low tides, you can't swim. READ reviews before booking, do not repeat our mistakes, booking without cancellation.
