This time, my boyfriend and I celebrated Chinese Valentine's Day at Banyan Tree Songshan Lake, and the overall experience was fantastic. The front desk staff, Lina, had an excellent service attitude and a sweet smile. She proactively added me on WeChat and sent me check-in details, saying I could contact her for any needs. Her responses were prompt, thoughtful, and thorough throughout our stay. The room facilities were quite new and very comfortable. The plunge pool had good water pressure, filled up quickly, and the temperature was perfect. A soak in the evening was very relaxing. For dinner, we had Southeast Asian cuisine at the hotel's Mi Yan restaurant. We hadn't made a reservation, and seating was tight that evening, but Huihui and another staff member (I don't quite remember her name, perhaps Tingting or Lingling) from the restaurant were very proactive in helping us find a table. They even specially decorated it, which made for a perfect dinner. The dishes were delicious, with no disappointments. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meal. Our entire stay was excellent, with meticulous service details. We'll definitely come again.

The hotel's location is quite convenient, situated between Dongguan Station and Humen Station, both high-speed rail stops, and also in the middle of Metro Line 2, with both being about a 30-minute ride away. Just one metro stop from the hotel is Minying International Trade City, a large mall with everything you could need. The hotel facilities and rooms definitely show their age. The two swimming pools are quite good, both 1.55 meters deep, large enough to swim comfortably, and each has a jacuzzi. There's also a kids' pool with a slide, 0.5 meters deep. The breakfast selection is decent. The room is very spacious, and the bathroom isn't small either, plus there's a large balcony. The natural light in the room is good. It's almost time for a hardware renovation, and then it would be perfect. The staff granted us a late check-out, making for a perfect weekend family getaway. Marriott Resort quality truly shines through.

This is my second visit within 2 months. I got a non-smoking room even though I forgot to request one in my booking. Compared to my previous stay, this room had no issues with the TV or A/C. The fancy coffee brewing machine providing fresh coffee in the lobby is still there to serve black coffee drinkers as neither sugar nor cream is available. Ironically the shower curtain is still hanging there around the bathtub but then the sprinkler has obviously been removed. Overall, this is a much better experience comparing to my last visit. Look forward to staying there again in the future.
