"This hotel is super conveniently located, just 100 meters to the right after exiting Shizuoka Station's North Exit. There's a supermarket and mall right next door, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. It's also within walking distance of Surugaya and a few other malls. While the hotel facilities are a bit older, they are very well-maintained, clean, and hygienic – the bedding, in particular, was incredibly comfortable. We booked a triple room for two adults and two children, and it came with three beds and enough space to open our suitcases flat. The room was very spacious."

"The location was good, close to the station. There were only convenience stores nearby, so it was quiet. The facilities were old-fashioned, with a key system rather than a card system, but they had been renovated and felt comfortable and outdated. I would definitely use it again."

"The hotel's location was very convenient and close to the train ststion.. there are also many restaurants and coffee shops near by that it was hard to choose one. The hotel was clean and the people at the reception were nice and very helpful. The room was spacious compared to the standard Japanese hotels I've been to. I specially loved the shower preasure after a long day's of walking and commuting. The room was quiet and perfect to rest. I will stay again in this hotel next one I visit Shizuoka."

"Breakfast was very satisfying. The specialty Shizuoka oden was varied, and there was also buta. The konjac and mugo were especially delicious. One thing I was disappointed about was that there was no fruit at all. Also, the hotel's room assignment system doesn't take requests into account at all. I requested a room with a nice view in advance, but they had already assigned me a room with a parking lot view on the second floor. They didn't assign it upon arrival; the room number was already written on the check-in form. I stopped by to store my luggage before check-in time, and it was already there. I went before the 3 o'clock check-in time, but it was useless; it was a pre-arranged plan. The female staff member was sarcastic, and her attitude was evident in her expression and tone. She's Japanese, but she speaks Korean fluently. She didn't even realize it, and she kept speaking in Japanese. I've stayed at many hotels in Japan, but this is the first time I've experienced such service. Wow!! Contrary to the hotel photo, there's no sauna in the women's spa! I booked because of the sauna, but I was surprised. It might be helpful to double-check our website. This was my first time staying at the Kuretake Inn chain, but if you don't care about the staff's friendly service and detailed facility information, it's fine. I'm not sure I'll return to the Kuretake Inn chain."

"I booked two single rooms on the ladies' floor this time, and the rooms were still very spacious and quiet. The ladies' floor also has a dedicated coin-operated self-service laundry room, and the rooms are equipped with hair straighteners, facial steamers, and even face masks and foot patches, all available for free. Overall, it's great value for money. The location is also excellent, less than a five-minute walk from Shizuoka Station."

"Very satisfied! A particular highlight was the young Chinese lady at the front desk. She's Korean Chinese, speaks Korean, and offered incredibly detailed information with a wonderfully kind and approachable demeanor. Right across from the hotel is Chikusaya, which makes for a convenient and reliable spot for everyday meals."

"Highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Shizuoka! **Environment:** You can get here by taking the airport shuttle to the final stop, Shin-Shizuoka or Shizuoka JR Station, then it's about a ten-minute walk straight ahead. It's really convenient, and super close to Don Quijote! It was so easy to grab things late at night. **Cleanliness:** The room was small but very new and clean. The large public bath on the 14th floor was super relaxing for both soaking and using the sauna. There were hardly any people, so you pretty much had it all to yourself. **Facilities:** The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I stayed for three days, and the variety changed every day. Every dish was exquisite and tasty, clearly prepared with care. The iced coffee was incredibly good, not bitter or sour – I regret not having more cups! 🤣 From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, they also offer free salad and curry rice. Paired with a melon soda, looking out at Shizuoka during the 'blue hour' was just delightful! **Service:** If you're staying at the beginning and end of your trip, you can store your luggage for free during the days in between, which is super friendly for multi-day travelers!"

For any anime/manga fan, this place is a total delight, especially being just a six-minute walk from Surugaya! Absolutely loved it! I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shizuoka."

"I booked this hotel in a rush late at night after missing my train, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The self check-in was quick and convenient, and the front desk staff were professional and polite. The room itself was clean and tidy. While it's quite compact – much like an Ibis hotel in China – the size wasn't an issue for me. It was a lifesaver in my predicament, is conveniently located near Shizuoka Station, and offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is relatively new and the facilities are decent, seemingly quite upscale. However, the service completely shattered my long-held belief that Japan has the best service. The electric kettle in my room wasn't working; I wanted to make coffee, but the water temperature never increased beyond a lukewarm setting. I informed the front desk, and a young, delicate-looking woman came. After I explained, she opened the lid and said, 'This is hot water.' I poured it into a cup, and she touched it, saying, 'That's how it is.' I told her, 'This is only 40-50 degrees Celsius, how can I brew tea or coffee with this? I need boiling temperature.' She replied that she couldn't do that. I asked her what temperature a kettle should boil to, and she said there was no standard! I then told her the kettle was broken and asked her to replace it, to which she said they didn't have any. I ended up pouring a bottle and a half of cold water into the kettle, and when it still didn't heat up, she finally took it away. Throughout the entire interaction, her expression was blank and her attitude was slow and indifferent. I used to tell my friends that Japanese people's warm service isn't necessarily because they like you, but because their upbringing and professional ethics don't allow them to be rude. Now, I've witnessed such service in a 4/5-star hotel."
