This guesthouse was absolutely satisfying, allowing me to truly experience the traditional Hanok atmosphere. I usually stay in regular hotels or pensions, but this time, staying in a Hanok guesthouse definitely offered a unique charm. From the moment I stepped in, I felt the tranquil and warm ambiance characteristic of Hanok, and it became even more enchanting at night. It's such a beautiful Hanok guesthouse that even passing foreigners stopped to take pictures! The room was neatly maintained and well-equipped with everything I needed (Styler, Airwrap, Dyson vacuum cleaner, toaster, etc.). Thanks to the owner's thoughtful and meticulous attention to detail, I didn't even have to use any of the items I brought and could relax comfortably! I was tired from traveling, and it was wonderful to soothe my fatigue in the warm jacuzzi! With Daereungwon view right from the kitchen, and a Hwanglidan-gil food tour starting right outside the guesthouse! The convenient location is truly amazing~~ And I'm grateful to the owner for thoughtfully helping with parking on a rainy day, which made moving my luggage much easier! Most importantly, it was so, so good to take a break from my complicated daily life and quietly rest here~~~~ If you're looking to spend a night in a Hanok during your Gyeongju trip, I highly recommend experiencing this place. The guesthouse's atmosphere is great, and being able to relax comfortably made my trip even more satisfying. I had a pleasant stay at this wonderful guesthouse. An amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons: Pros: - Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms. - Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise - Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay - gigantic TV - host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp! - appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well! Cons: - there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either - as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first. - at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping. If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!

I stayed at this hostel and felt it had excellent value for money. The location, price, and cleanliness were all very good. It is very close to the bus terminal in Gyeongju, and I could reach the main streets within a few minutes on foot. Bus travel is very common in Gyeongju, so I especially liked how close it was not only to the terminal but also to bus stops going to the city center. The building was very clean and full of stylish and creative details. I could really feel the owner’s personality and care in the design. The rooms were divided into small sections such as 4-bed rooms, so everything was easy to understand and comfortable. The room key used a touch system, and the beds were large enough. I even had plenty of space for my luggage at the foot of the bed. The toilet and shower rooms were separated. The shower area was a shared shower room with several showers inside one large room. The changing area and entrance were together, so it could feel a little narrow when other guests were there, but everything was clean and functional. I arrived earlier than check-in time, but I could leave my luggage there. I also received clear instructions about the password and security system, so I felt safe. Even after check-out, they kindly allowed me to leave my large luggage there for a while. Overall, I received very good service and had a great stay.

We had the most incredible experience staying at this beautiful hanok in Gyeongju!! It exceeded every expectation and then some. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and truly special. First of all, the location is unbeatable! It’s perfectly situated right by the market street, making it so easy to explore local food and culture, while also being within walking distance (or a short ride) to all the main attractions. Even better, it’s incredibly convenient for transport, just a short distance from both the express bus terminal (from Seoul) and the intercity bus terminal (onward to Busan), which made our travel stress-free. The hanok itself was simply stunning! Our room was surprisingly spacious, with gorgeous traditional design details and beautiful views from the windows that really made the stay feel serene and authentic. It struck the perfect balance between traditional charm and comfort. Speaking of comfort, the bed was fantastic, which was especially important to us since I’m 6 months pregnant. We were a bit nervous about sleeping arrangements beforehand, but it turned out to be incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well every night. The host was also incredibly thoughtful and gave extra yo (bedding) and an additional pillow, which was so sweet. What truly made this stay unforgettable, though, was the host’s kindness!! She was so warm and attentive throughout our visit. She kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after travel, and each morning she brought us a delicious homemade breakfast, such a lovely and personal touch that made us feel completely taken care of. Everything about this stay felt genuine, peaceful, and full of heart. We left feeling rested, happy, and so grateful we chose this place. We genuinely couldn’t recommend it more highly. If you’re visiting Gyeongju, this is the place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this villa. It is located away from the city centre, offering a quiet and peaceful environment. Having a car makes getting around very convenient. While it is possible to take a bus or use ride-hailing services, public transport may be less convenient as buses run approximately every 30 minutes. There are limited dining options nearby. We found that many restaurants in Gyeongju primarily offer dine-in service, so takeaway options can be difficult to find. The villa is modern, well-equipped, and appears relatively new. Our unit came with a private pool, which was a great feature. The property is also pet-friendly, with thoughtful facilities such as a pet shower area, pet play area, and dedicated dog and cat houses, making it a comfortable stay for those travelling with pets. The amenities and installations felt new and well maintained. There were also a few additional villas still under construction in the surrounding area, suggesting that the development is continuing to expand.

Large spacious room, with comfortable bed, good Internet. Location was perfect to access attractions, bus stops, Restaurants and shops. Front counter staff were very friendly and helpful, giving baggage storage prior to check in. Cleaning staff did a great job and always smiling. Very clean refreshing hotel

The hotel was overall okay for a short stay. The room was reasonably clean and had the basic amenities needed. The staff was polite and the check-in and check-out process was straightforward. While nothing stood out in particular, everything worked as expected. It is a suitable option if you are looking for a simple and practical place to stay.

From check-in to check-out, all the staff were friendly. The room's interior with a raised platform was unique and surprisingly practical, which I really liked. Overall, the room was spacious and clean. Choosing a lake view room was a great decision, as I could see the outdoor pool below and Bomun Lake from day to night – it was fantastic!

I was really surprised by how good the location was. It is next to a fantastic Chinese restaurant frequented by many locals. The hotel has above average amenities for its price point. Big bedroom and hot tub with jet massage. The breakfast was a nice touch. The self service locker was also amazing add on. There are some slight downsides. First of all I found a long hair inside of the bed sheet (I do not have long hair). Second of all, the checkout time is 11 am and I received phone call at 10:50 am telling me to hurry up and check out or they will penalize me for being late. This might be a communication issue but this just comes off as very rude and avaricious on the part of the owners. There does seem to be many mini-surcharge here and there in the hotel, but luckily I didn’t bump into any of them.

I can't see people I have to enter the proof number in the kiosk, but it's always confusing. The breakfast room is ramen and no toss. No coffee You're always giving me a lot of benefits. This is my third visit.
