Great location! It's super convenient for visiting nearby attractions and night markets. You can reach Foreigner Street in just 3 minutes by walking through the temple. Plus, because it's not directly on the main road, it offers both convenience and quiet. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, with a consistent touch of green in the decor throughout, showing thoughtful design. Breakfast offers both local specialties and Western options, both served with fruit and homemade yogurt, a well-balanced spread. Overall, it's very good and I'd recommend it to friends visiting the area.

Satri House – A Living Museum You Can Sleep In
Staying here feels like stepping into a beautiful dream from another era. Every corner is a work of art. The furniture, the layout, the little details—they all whisper stories of old Indochine charm. It doesn’t feel like a hotel. It feels like you’re actually living in a graceful, historic home.
The architecture is stunning, and the garden and pool are simply gorgeous. Peaceful, timeless, and so beautifully kept.
The staff are warm and genuinely kind. We used the bikes from the resort to explore town, and it added so much joy to the experience.
Breakfast is à la carte, and each dish was delicious—thoughtfully prepared, never rushed. And somehow, every time we stepped out, we came back to a perfectly cleaned room. It’s the kind of care you don’t often see.
Satri House isn’t just a stay—it’s a feeling. One I won’t forget.

DaixidedaixiA delightful French Indochinese boutique hotel.
One of my favorite hotels I've stayed in so far.
It's nestled on the street between the Mekong River and the 'foreigner street' (night market area), offering a quiet retreat while being conveniently located for everything. They even have free bicycles!
As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by a refreshing Southeast Asian ambiance and a welcome drink.
The room's balcony is perfect for sunbathing, reading, or enjoying a small drink.
Breakfast offers both a buffet and à la carte options, combining Lao flavors with Chinese and Western dishes.

The room exceeded my expectations – living amidst the rice paddies was incredibly relaxing. The decor was beautiful, comfortable, and had a fresh, natural vibe that truly allowed for a full rest of body and mind. The shuttle bus to the city center isn't very frequent, so it might not be ideal for those who prefer a lively and convenient location. Mina at the front desk was very efficient and incredibly helpful, and her English was fluent, which was a big plus! The breakfast quality and variety were also great. Highly recommended!

Guest UserWe enjoyed our stay at the 3 star Mekong Charm Hotel, so we decided to stay two night longer than planned. The location is wonderful. The breakfast Terrace is directly above the Mekong river.
The hotel manager lives for her work and is very helpful and friendly. We had nothing to care for. She organized a motorcycle and our train trip to Vientiane. If we come back to Luang Prabang this hotel will be our first choice.

XiayizhanshouhouThe location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. Just a few steps outside, you'll find the night market, ancient temples, and the Mekong River. The courtyard is filled with frangipani flowers, and the stone paths create a wonderful ambiance. The room was spotless, the owner's service was attentive, and the breakfast offered a great variety. It made exploring and getting around incredibly convenient, and the price was excellent too. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

Guest UserThe landlord is not honest. When we asked him a bus ticket to Phonsavan he charged us more than 50%. Outrageous. Actually I knew the price in the beginning, so asked him if it should be about $12 but he insisted there was no way he could match that price. So funny. All he had to do was call and make a reservation for us, but instead he tried to get profit out of the reservation and charged $18 each. And we had to do nothing but trust him.
However, when we arrived at the terminal, we realized that the one way ride to Phonsavan was even less that $11.30. I don't recommend this hotel run by this sly business man.

The hotel is located in an alley by the Mekong River, but parking is available. It takes at most five minutes to walk to the Mekong River. It is convenient to eat and buy daily necessities around. The hotel is in a quiet location with a comfortable environment and clean bedding and rooms.

The breakfast selection was plentiful and better than many chain hotels in China. Considering this isn't China and is a tourist area, where I once paid nearly 200 Lao Kip for a small guesthouse with a dilapidated bed in the attic, this hotel was incredibly good value. More importantly, many hotels of similar quality I've stayed in here only offered simple Western-style cold breakfasts, while this one served Chinese food.
After talking to the owner, I learned the hotel was recently built, and all the appliances were from China. The most surprising thing was the bathroom floor. When you turn the air conditioning to 21 degrees Celsius in your room, stepping barefoot into the bathroom floor feels warm—you know the feeling of surprise.
The hotel helps book shared transportation to and from the train station for 50,000 Lao Kip. There's also a large swimming pool!
