Amazing
AAng_ieStaying at Clarion Hotel The Pier in Sweden turned out to be one of those experiences where you feel at ease almost immediately. There’s a certain warmth to the place that makes it stand out from the moment you walk through the doors. Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. It’s such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests. A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Beautiful Skyline and Water Views From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal.

AAKR87Really nice hotel in a great and convenient location, spacious room. However booked for 4 people, received confirmation from trip that the booking was made for 2 adults 2 children upon check in only 2 adults and 1 child on the hotel booking. Hotel receptionist argued no solution offered, we had to put 2 single beds together so could be used by 3 people. Lobby bathroom not able to be accessed after checkout as its keycard controlled- be careful if you wait a while for onward travel etc.

SScullyThe staff working on the weekend were super nice and helpful, and I’ve stayed here many, many times, always so nice & such a lovely boutique place to stay with many awesome things to like. On the day I checked out oh my god, where did this girl suddenly come from? Little wanna be Swedish police officer banging on my door trying to get in. Ok i fell asleep after breakfast? So what. Even after i checked out & and was just having a coffee in the lobby, she came again in my face demanding to know if i had checked out? She was just rude, unprofessional, behavior was unbelievable. Really ruined my experience at the nice hotel Pigalle. Actually, I don’t accept people thinking they are better than everyone else & they think that they can just talk to people like they are a piece of crap. Therefore, sadly, I don’t think I will ever stay here ever again.. Sorry but..

GGuest UserThis hotel is conveniently located at central station in Gothenburg. Very walkable and close to shopping and restaurants. The area is busy with lots of transit and people, bit the hotel is overall quiet. Breakfast is good with an assortment of items, but can get repetitive for longer stays as the food items are the same each day. The rooms are comfortable and good size with spacious bathrooms. The bathrooms are quite basic and needs upgrading as ours had some broken tiles across the corners. Overall a. Very good hotel that we'd stay in again.

AAnonymous UserSuper great hotel! It is recommended to book a superior room of 30 square meters, which is really large in Northern Europe. It is very cost-effective. The superior room has enough space to separate the bathtub and shower. It has double sinks and is very comfortable overall. The toiletries have a very special smell, and the Chinese character ”Jing” on the bottle is very friendly. The hygiene is very good, and the cleaning staff is also very easy to communicate with. Even if the room is full of people on weekends, the cleaning is very fast! The breakfast is good. There are free coffee machines on each floor, milk plant milk, as well as croissants, sandwiches, and snacks for you to enjoy. This is very special! You can enjoy the centuries-old castle architecture without leaving the hotel! The rooftop swimming pool is said to be good but I didn’t go there. I might give it a try next time! The location is undoubtedly the best choice for taking the train. The train station is very convenient for business and there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Accommodation is very convenient! Gothenburg is not big, but the Volvo Museum and the Art Museum are more worth visiting! special reminder! This city is nicknamed ”Little London” in autumn and winter because it is foggy and rains almost every day! But it’s just light rain, and it will stop for a while, so it’s best to bring a waterproof hard-shell windbreaker to wear outside your down jacket! very important! This way you don’t need to bring an umbrella! The restaurant on the second floor of the hotel! delicious! The sommelier is an Italian guy who is very talkative and knowledgeable about wine. The wine pairings he recommends are very good! It would be great to stay in this hotel and go directly to the second floor for dinner. The set menu is also very cheap at four to five hundred Swedish krona per person for three or four dishes, but I personally prefer a la carte! Recommended raw beef tartare is delicious! Fried artichokes are delicious too! Flounder is also good! Highly recommend this restaurant! The restaurant is also very loving. It is closed on Sunday night in order to give homeless homeless people in Gothenburg an early Christmas and feel the warmth. All the restaurant chefs and service staff went to cook for them! On the big weekend, it was indeed Nordic style! Thumbs up!

MMr.SaifMy recent stay at the Scandic Göteborg Central was a truly positive experience, largely thanks to its fantastic location and the excellent service provided. Being just a short, pleasant 10-minute walk from the central station was incredibly convenient. This made arriving and departing effortless, and exploring the city using public transport was a breeze. The service I encountered throughout the hotel was consistently great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any queries I had were addressed promptly and with genuine care. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and yogurts, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was also noteworthy, making for a delightful start to each day. Overall, the Scandic Göteborg Central offered a comfortable and convenient base for my time in Gothenburg. Its perfect location near the central station, coupled with the great service and delicious breakfast, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

AAnonymous UserI arrived around 9 pm and it was already dark. Still, the surroundings near the central station felt safe because there were plenty of people around. It was about an 8-minute walk, though Google Maps sent me on a longer route when I could have just taken a shortcut near the train tracks. The reception was lovely. I even asked for some ice cubes since it was quite humid that day and normal temperature water wasn’t enough to cool me down. The room itself was nice, just right for one person. As it was parallel to the train tracks, you could hear them passing, but only faintly. I was so tired that I slept really well. I didn’t order breakfast so I can’t comment on that. I checked out at 12 pm, and they provided luggage storage free of charge, which was definitely a plus. I came back for my luggage at 6 pm with no issues.

GGuest UserWe arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant. We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday. The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests. In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg. Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

GGuest UserI visited Sweden for a business trip to Chalmers University and stayed at this hotel. I arrived at 11 a.m., so I tried to leave my luggage, but I was able to check in in the morning. The staff were all friendly and well equipped with amenities such as gym, washing machine, breakfast buffet and restaurant. It was a little unfortunate that the breakfast menu did not change during my stay for about a week, but the taste was good. The surroundings of the hotel were quiet, and it was quiet, and the center came out on foot for 15 to 20 minutes. I would like to stay at the same hostel even if I come back for business trip next time.
