Very friendly and helpful owner. Super responsive and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. Thank you for sharing your tea with us. It was a special treat.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Upon arrival we saw that the room was very dirty. The only thing that had been done in the room was changing the bedding. My daughter stepped in something sticky and we even saw food rests on the floor. We asked for the room to be cleaned while going out to eat. When we came back it was a little better, but the room was still very dirty. I tried to clean it a bit myself with wet wipes, but it was a disgusting job (see pictures, they are all made after we asked to clean the room again). I do not understand how this guesthouse can have such a high score of reviews while the rooms are this dirty. The room also did not look like the pictures. On top of that I paid for a room with a mountain view, but instead was looking on the roof of another building. The air was very dry, but the humidifier was dirty and moldy so we didnt dare to use it. The first night we slept terribly, also due to noises from other guests. The next day I asked for a clean humidifier and received it. I also had to go ask for toilet paper (how embarassing) because there is no daily housekeeping and put our bins outside and ask to get a new bin bag. The owner is a friendly guy, but he is staring on his phone all day while smoking cigarettes so I never felt comfortable coming in the reception and asking something. We had several gifts included in the booking (afternoon tea, desert tasting, coffee drinks) but didn’t get any of them because they would have to take place in the smoky reception where I definately dont want my children to sit. The only gift we did use was a pick-up from the station. I did have to text with 3 different people on WeChat to make this happen. When we checked out the owner didnt even look up from his phone. Terrible service. The hotel needs a deep clean, renovation and a new owner that understands something about service. Especially people with children should avoid this hotel until then! Lijiang is a lovely place but just don’t stay here. We have been travelling in China for 2 months and never had a hotel that was this dirty. 👎

Not a bad stay but is advertised as a “mountain view” room paid extra for the option. There is no view of anything but the courtyard.

Good location. The bed and blankets were clean but the rest of the room was a little dirty. Even though it was quiet outside, you can hear the other guests very clearly when they are in the courtyard and the door slams loudly every time someone closes the door. Since the smoking area is in the courtyard, other guests were slamming their door all through the night when going outside for a cigarette.

The hotel is very close to Chung Yee Market, making it convenient for transportation, shopping, dining, and exploring the old town. The room was clean and comfortable, and incredibly quiet at night!!! This was fantastic for someone like me who is very particular about sleep quality! The owner was handsome and considerate, reminding me to dress appropriately for the temperature difference, and even thoughtfully arranging a tricycle to help with my luggage on the morning of my departure. A very good experience!

The owner was very welcoming and added me on WeChat beforehand to let me know how to get there. They even helped me with my luggage to the guesthouse. The guesthouse is very close to the street corner, just a few minutes away. It's very convenient to take the 101 bus to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain or explore the old town. The environment was clean, the blankets were very comfortable, and the price was excellent. The owner also provided travel advice. Highly recommended!

The inn's service was excellent, and the owner was very tactful. After booking, they helped arrange a car and reception, and even met our luggage at the intersection (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM). We were quite understanding; everyone needs a break, after all. Being in such a loving environment made our trip so much more enriching. Thank you for your care and support over the past few days. The owner and his partner are both Beijing natives, and they love to joke around. One is aloof, the other is a master of jokes. Absolutely amazing.

The bedding was very comfortable. The room was cleaner than expected. It was very cost-effective. The location was very convenient, close to Mufu Zhongyi Market and not far from Sifang Street.

Staying at this inn really enhanced my trip to Lijiang! Amenities: The owner has everything you could possibly want. Cleanliness: The cleaning lady was diligent, efficient, and incredibly friendly. Environment: The courtyard is located behind the Mu Mansion, right next to the commercial center, yet it's a peaceful retreat, perfect for a quiet night's rest, unaffected by the surrounding bars and restaurants. Service: This is truly remarkable. The owner, Mengzi, is a handsome man who'll pick you up and drop you off regardless of the weather. He'll also entertain you, offer tea, book discounted tickets, and tell you where to find the best food. If you need matsutake mushrooms, Mengzi is your go-to source.
