The location of the B&B is very good. It is a renovation of an old house. The proprietress is very welcoming. She waited at the gate in advance and helped with the luggage. She treated us like relatives visiting during the Chinese New Year. It felt like home. It is best to stay overnight in the ancient town. It is especially good to visit in the morning and evening.

First, the pros: 1️⃣ The pool was better than I expected; the water quality was decent, and I didn't need sunscreen in the shade in the afternoon! 2️⃣ The service was excellent, not overly enthusiastic, just right. 3️⃣ The bathtub deserves full marks! The room provided disposable bathtub covers, so hygiene wasn't a concern! Now, the cons: 1️⃣ The sofa and tabletops had many old stains. 2️⃣ The gym was old and dilapidated; the yoga mats were crumbling badly, and the stationary bikes were difficult to ride. 3️⃣ There wasn't much to do nearby; it was only suitable for relaxing.

The common dining area is a visual delight, adorned with tasteful furnishings and bathed in ample natural light. Our stay was elevated by the genuinely warm and accommodating staff, who went above and beyond to provide insightful recommendations for exploring the area. Despite not having a car, the hotel's strategic location allowed us to embark on a delightful on-foot adventure. A scenic hike from the hotel unveiled a hidden gem—a breathtaking waterfall that added an extra layer of enchantment to our stay. Moreover, a leisurely walk down the mountain led us to a charming village nestled on the edge of a vast lake, creating the perfect setting for a tranquil sunset stroll. Our overall experience at this haven was nothing short of magical. The thoughtful details, combined with the friendly staff and natural wonders surrounding the hotel, made it a memorable retreat. We can genuinely say this place exceeded our expectations, and we're already planning our return. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality.

It’s a B&B that people like at first glance (at least that’s what I think). Whether it’s the facilities in the room or the scenery at the door (right next to the Qixiakeng Ancient Road), I think this visit is worth it! The food is also very delicious. My child didn’t even take a few bites of the food he ordered from a small restaurant near Xikou last year. It was not to his liking and it was also noisy. Unexpectedly, the chopsticks didn’t stop today, which means it’s very delicious and indeed in line with our taste. , How can taro be so pink and waxy! Delicious! We are already discussing how to come and stay for a few days during the summer vacation. In summer, we can play in the small stream in front of our house! Walking around the ancient village in the evening has a beautiful artistic conception! Anyway, it’s a comfortable stay and a comfortable environment. Get up and go hiking on the Qixiakeng Ancient Trail after breakfast tomorrow, which is the perfect end to this two-day and one-night short trip! Goodbye in the summer~

My overall stay was quite pleasant, despite a bumpy start. Thankfully, the Howard Johnson Dongqian Lake's service was satisfactory, especially Manager Lou. She was dedicated, empathetic, and provided thoughtful, prompt service, demonstrating excellent hotel management qualities! I was traveling with my parents during a cold snap, and our original room was chilly. Manager Lou quickly arranged a room change to a different floor. We also encountered an unexpected power outage in parts of the Dongqian Lake resort area, which caused some inconvenience. However, Manager Lou and her team handled the emergency promptly and thoughtfully, taking care of my elderly parents. Her attitude and professionalism were commendable, and the other staff members also did a great job with the details. It's worth mentioning that the hotel offers cultural and entertainment experiences like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), Song Dynasty tea ceremony, and deer park fun, which effectively enriched our holiday. These activities are suitable for both seniors and children. The location is also great: near Hanling Old Street in Dongqian Lake, about a ten-minute walk, and convenient for reaching other attractions. I hope the hotel continues to improve, with timely updates to some of the facilities. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The service was great, and the free parking was a nice bonus, especially with the complimentary bottled water. It's super convenient for getting to Lianglong Town in Siming Mountain and the highway. Getting to Yangming urban area is easy too.

Staying in these hollow villas, you can enjoy snow in winter, mist in spring, cicadas in summer, and autumn leaves, truly embracing the wild. You can imagine yourself as a free bird in the forest or an uninhibited 'wildling' from ancient times, far from the hustle and bustle. Wake up to the morning sun, watch the sunset in the evening, sip tea leisurely, enjoy a glass of wine at night, listen to the rain on the leaves, chat with friends, find romance with a loved one, or simply gaze at the starry sky. It’s simply delightful! I come back every other year for a few days; I arrive feeling weary and leave feeling completely refreshed. The villas at Manxiugu are diverse in style and shape – from two-story Gothic-inspired spires to charming Baroque wooden cabins. Each room has a pleasant woody fragrance that ensures a peaceful night's sleep. On hot days, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear infinity pool. And the chef's culinary skills are truly exceptional – the food is delicious, not greasy, and incredibly appetizing, all at a reasonable price, so there's no need to dine out. The service philosophy is guest-first, with every request met and every detail handled until you're completely satisfied. I especially want to thank Miss Xiaoyu, who thoughtfully carried our bags and helped us, who aren't so young anymore, settle in comfortably. My detailed rambling is simply because my stay was so comfortable and satisfying, so I highly recommend everyone give it a try!

Escape the hustle and bustle and come to Banbianshan to see the sea! This hotel gave me a perfect stay experience, and the value for money is impressive. Although it has been open for many years, the facilities are still well-maintained, with no sense of being old or run down. The guest room hygiene details are spot-on, and the public areas are clean and pleasant. The staff are warm and polite; check-in was quick, and feedback on requests was very prompt. The breakfast offers a diverse range of options, all delicious and no misses. Special thanks to Carle Chen for the thoughtful service; every moment of our vacation was comfortable and at ease.

The overall experience was very nice, nothing to complain about it! Things to be mentioned for foreign visitors who might not be understood: the breakfast/dinner location is uphill, 15 minutes walk from the hotel, so if you don’t have a car it might be a little uncomfortable (shuttle is provided only in the evening). Another point is that the outdoor spa from the hotel and the shared pool can be accessed only once, therefore do all your things before entering to enjoy the longest. These are not critics, and are advices meant to create awareness for future travellers. Besides that, great experience! I would recommend!
