"Stayed at Myeongdong Merlin Hotel for a short transit and overall it was a good experience. The location is convenient about 15–20 minutes to Myeongdong Night Street, which is great if you want easy access to shopping and food. We arrived quite late (around 10pm) after traveling from Busan and checked out early at 5am to head to ICN airport. Even with the short stay, everything went smoothly. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, which we really appreciated after a long journey. We were traveling in a big group (18 people), and the hotel managed us well. Rooms were clean and facilities were sufficient for a short stay. Service was also efficient. Overall, a solid and convenient choice especially for short stays or transit in Seoul 👍"

When staying at EXTAY-chungmuro, you'll be perfectly positioned to explore Jung-gu. This property also offers free luggage storage.

"This was one of the best hostels I have stayed at! The location is convenient and near a metro station. There are also lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Self check-in and check-out was very simple. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was always clean. I also liked the shared spaces too - I would highly recommend and I would come back."

villiv Inn-The City namsan is located in central Seoul within a 15-minute walk from Myeongdong Street and Namsan Mountain Park. It has various amenities such as express check-in, express check-out, and baggage claim. It provides floor heating which features warm floors. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and washing machine (with drying function). Wireless internet and cable TV broadcasts are available free of charge. Mineral water and room cleaning services are provided free of charge every day.

"Location was strategic, one of the subway station entrance is accessible from the hotel. There was a convenient store right on the ground floor. We travelled from airport, we took bus which stopped nearby. It was manageable even with big luggage. Room with necessary kitchen amenities -microwave, fridge, pots/pan, knife, cutting board which allowed simple food preparation. There was a washing m/c with drying functionality that allowed us to do some laundry and don't need to bring extra clothes and could keep the luggage space for shopping items. However, since the room is not big, the noise from the washing machine may impact your sleep. Hence do it while you are away or still awake. Room is clean and with a nice view where N tower is visible from the room. Breakfast was simple but they changed menu daily. It was a combination of Korean and continental cuisine. I stayed there for 3 nights, there were no repeat of the dishes and all those tasted good. Unlike another chain hotel, have lots of choices but same dishes, even the banchan were the same daily."

Hotel Marguerite Located just 30 meters from Exit 1 of Myeongdong Subway Station in Seoul, Hotel Marguerite is the ideal choice for exploring Seoul and its surrounding areas. The hotel boasts a prime location with a wide range of amenities nearby, including Korean and Japanese restaurants, Daiso, 24-hour convenience stores, Starbucks, and a park, ensuring a convenient and comfortable stay. Transportation is also highly accessible. Convenient Location: 3-minute walk to Myeongdong Shopping Street 10 minutes to Shinsegae Duty-Free Shop 10 minutes to Lotte Duty-Free Shop 20-minute walk to Namsan Tower Cable Car Station Thoughtful Services: Professional airport transfer service with drivers fluent in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean Hassle-free communication and attentive assistance for all your needs Comfortable Facilities: Newly renovated in 2025, featuring 19 rooms equipped with free high-speed Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, underfloor heating, hairdryer, refrigerator, and more Due to its prime location in the heart of Myeongdong, rooms are compact and the building does not have an elevator For a more spacious experience, we recommend booking a room that accommodates one more person than your group size Contact Us: If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us. We are here to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay!

"Location wise, Marguerite Hotel is almost perfect - nearest exit is Myeongdong Exit 1 (bonus as it comes with escalator), the Daiso that is a must visit for all tourists, near to Namsan Tower, airport limousine bus (right across Hotel Prince), and of course, just opposite the Myeongdong shopping heaven. You can always return to the hotel to stash your stuffs or for a quick refresh. For Muslim travellers, ”Lepakla” restaurant is just 5 steps away from the hotel, and near to Kampungku and Mari Meokja. Facilities like water dispenser (located at Ground Floor and second floor), tea and coffee is available 24/7. Iron is available upon request, bur ironing in your hotel room requires a bit of creativity as the size of the room could not accommodate luggages, let alone an ironing board. The projector in the room was a nice touch, I asked the receptionist how to use it and he said I need to connect it to my own laptop. But I don't carry HDMI cables around, especially when travelling. So after fiddling with the remote, I found out that I don't need to conect it to my laptop after all, as YouTube and Netflix is already readily available on the projector. The down side is, the size of the room. I managed to lay open my 26 inch luggage, but that leaves me no more room for other things. But the worst part is, the service of the hotel. Due to my bad knees, I have made a request for a room on lower floors via Trip. Upon check-in, I politely requested again for a room on lower floors. However, I was assigned to a room on the highest floor. The staff said nothing could be done, which was really disappointing. The staff offered to bring my luggage to the room, which I was grateful for, however, I had to drag my luggages all the way from fourth floor through the narrow staircase all the way down, resulting damage to my luggage. So if going up and down the staircase (there's no elevator/lift), is an issue, you might want to check out other places instead."

The Shilla Seoul

My stay perfectly matched my expectations for The Shilla Seoul; if you're looking for an old-money vibe, this is a great fit. Hardware-wise, for a hotel with some history, it felt newer than I anticipated, and the crystal chandelier in the lobby is absolutely stunning. The room size was just right, with a wet and dry bathroom featuring a separate shower and bathtub. The windows and the view from the room are a major highlight. Even though my room this time didn't face Namsan Tower, it was still excellent. You'll need to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush, but cotton swabs and shower caps are provided. The mini-fridge, snacks, and minibar are all chargeable. In terms of service, from getting out of the car to reaching my room, it met the high standards of a five-star hotel. The front desk staff spoke excellent English, and one even spoke Chinese to me during checkout (though I don't expect all of them to). This time, I also made sure to try the Room Service. The menu is in the desk drawer, and you can order using the in-room phone. The fried chicken and fries were very good; the portion was easily enough for two people or more. Regarding amenities, the bakery on the first floor of the hotel was bustling, mostly with local Koreans. I thought the taste was good, and the salt bread was particularly nice. The hotel lobby was almost always full, and there were constant business meetings and events happening on the left side, so you see a continuous stream of locals. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus, but you need to check the schedule carefully. Since I didn't use it, I can't offer advice. On either side of the hotel are Aesop and Moynat stores, and Shilla Duty Free is just a five-minute walk away. If your itinerary is well-planned and not rushed, staying at The Shilla is a great choice. It's not far to get to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seochon, Bukchon, Myeongdong, Seongsu-dong, and Hannam-dong by taxi from here. However, if you're trying to pack a lot into your schedule and rely mainly on the subway, it might not be as suitable. Seoul traffic can be quite bad. Personally, I would consider staying at The Shilla again. The service experience was very satisfying.

We had such an amazing stay at L7 Myeongdong for my husband’s birthday trip! The location was extremely convenient, especially for Muslims as there were many halal restaurants nearby, along with night markets, shops, and convenience stores all within walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even more memorable. We were also lucky to get a Namsan Tower view room, and the view was absolutely beautiful, especially at night. Overall, it was truly a wonderful experience and we would definitely love to stay here again on our next trip to Seoul!

The rooms are clean and tidy, the service is warm and attentive, and the location is convenient with excellent value for money. The bedding is comfortable and soundproof, and the staff are friendly. The location is superb, within walking distance to the subway station and shopping areas, with plenty of food options nearby. Some rooms offer views of N Seoul Tower, and it's close to Euljiro 3-ga subway station. It's relatively quiet, about an 8-minute walk to Myeongdong. The hotel is in the city center, making travel incredibly convenient. Highly recommended!

The room facilities were very clean. It's super convenient for getting around, only a 10-minute walk to Myeongdong. Plus, Subway Line 4 is just 50 meters from the hotel entrance, making it easy to get to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Dongdaemun Market!

From the moment I opened the hotel door, I was greeted by a lovely scent that was incredibly soothing. Even though I checked in late at night, the staff handled everything with great care and politeness. I asked the front desk to weigh my suitcase when dropping off luggage before check-in, during check-in, and at check-out. Each time, I was assisted by a different person, but every single one of them was calm, polite, and left a great impression. The room requires you to take off your shoes, and the ondol (underfloor heating) was subtly warm, making it very relaxing. The Korean-style, tranquil interior of the room was so comfortable that I found myself wanting to linger there. The only minor downside, which isn't a big deal, is that while there's a bathtub where you also shower, there's no shower curtain. This made it a bit challenging to shower without making a mess, as I had to crouch to avoid splashing water everywhere. While two subway lines are accessible, which is convenient, both are about a 10-minute walk away. The adjoining cafe also looked lovely, but unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit it. I would definitely want to stay at this hotel again if I have the chance! Highly recommended. Thank you! This hotel became a place where I could truly relax, and I highly recommend it.

Right outside Chungmuro Station, Exit 8 on Subway Line 4 – just turn around and you're there! It's about one stop from the busiest part of Myeongdong, either a walk or a subway ride away. There's unlimited self-service drinking water in the lobby. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days. The soundproofing is pretty good, so it's quiet, and the room itself is spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The shower pressure is fantastic! And you can even see N Seoul Tower from the room, how cool is that!

Grand Hyatt Seoul

I always used to do my 'hotelcation' at Lotte, but this time I stayed at the Grand Hyatt, and it was an excellent choice! 🫶👍 I regret not coming to the Hyatt sooner, honestly. Haha. True Wellness Point 1: The location and views are perfect for a quiet hotelcation and refreshing stay. 🫶 Even if it costs more, absolutely make sure to book a Namsan view or Han River view room! There's no need to wait in line at crowded cafes or rooftop cafes in the heat; you can relax in your room and fully enjoy a cafe-like atmosphere. If you convert time into money, this is much more reasonable. 🍀 Cafes in the central Hannam-dong area typically charge 5,500 to 7,500 KRW for an iced Americano. Hotel guests can buy an iced Americano from the 1st-floor deli for 6,500 KRW. ❤️ Wellness Point 2: There's a walking path connected to Namsan, so you can take a stroll after breakfast or even walk to Namsan Tower along the trail. ⭐ Truly the best! 🤗 Another great tip 👉 If you exit through the side path in the parking lot to the left of the hotel's main entrance (instead of the main entrance itself), you'll find Korean restaurants, convenience stores, and rooftop cafes. If the breakfast feels a bit too rich, you can easily balance it with some Korean food. ✨ The central commercial area of Hannam-dong, Itaewon, and Haebangchon are all within basic taxi fare distance, which is very convenient. 🫶 Wellness Point 3: If outdoor activities are too difficult in the heat, you can visit the Leeum Museum of Art right in front of the hotel to enjoy an exhibition and find some mental relaxation. Downsides: If I had to find any, the gym gets crowded. You need to be quick for breakfast. And if you go to the deli shop late in the afternoon, the salads are often sold out.

I originally booked a king room, but got upgraded to a twin room, which was very spacious, especially the desk area – great for organizing my belongings. The bathroom was also clean and well-arranged. The hotel's location is excellent. The airport shuttle bus stop (Beton Hotel Stop) is right next to the hotel; it's just a short walk after getting off. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel with lines 100 and 104, making it easy to get around the nearby areas. The subway station is also within walking distance. There's a CU convenience store right next to the hotel downstairs, which is very handy for picking up essentials.

V Stay

Staying at V stay was really nice. The room was clean and had all the things needed for my short stay. On top of that, there is a water dispenser and towels readily available at the common areas. There is also a laundry area where you can wash some clothes, which would definitely save luggage space. The staff is also very friendly and would readily help if you need it. The location is great as it is walking distance to the tourists areas as well as the subway station. Do take note that it is situated on a slight hill, which may be a little bit of a climb, but it was not an issue for me. Nonetheless, cars and taxis can easily access the hostel, which is great as you do not need to lug your baggage up and down the hill if you can afford them. Really recommend for people to come and stay here, especially for friends.

This was my umpteenth trip to Korea, and I stayed at this hotel near Dongdaemun because it was very affordable. It was a shame there was no bathtub, as I specifically looked for a place with one. Although it's close to the subway, it's still about a 5-minute walk. Given the price, having the entrance to the underground nearby was a plus. A convenience store nearby was also handy. The room was clean, and having a money exchange kiosk in the lobby was great. They also extended my check-out time to 2 PM on the spot when I left a review, which was incredibly helpful.
