Urbanstay Boutique Ikseon

8.9/10
Very Good

This hotel is located in Ikseon-dong, about a 5-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga Station, Exit 6, with a CU convenience store nearby. There are many dining options in the area, and popular spots like Mil Toast and Salt Bread are also within walking distance. Anguk Station is only about a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to reach Dotori Garden, Shilla Myunok, and Onion. The room is equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, and microwave, which is great for storing frozen food and ice cream from the convenience store, or kimchi from the market. There's no bathtub, only a shower, but a step and door separate it from the toilet, so the toilet area stays dry. Since there's no daily cleaning service, I just washed my towels with my clothes at night while I slept, which worked out perfectly. The washer/dryer combo was incredibly convenient – I didn't need to pack many clothes or worry about hanging them to dry. The only minor drawback was the noise from the washing machine in the room if you run it while sleeping. It's probably best to run it when you're out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd definitely want to stay here again.

1. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the bustling commercial district. Everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping is just a step away. It's close to everything, making getting around super efficient. 2. The cleanliness is meticulously maintained. The entire room was spotless and fresh. There were plenty of dry towels, and the bathroom had no water stains or odors – very friendly for germaphobes. ⚠️Cons: The room space is really cramped. There's no way to open two suitcases, and you can only walk sideways in the aisle. It would be very uncomfortable if you have a lot of luggage. Summary: This place is suitable for solo travelers who pack light and want to go shopping. If you have a lot of luggage or are traveling with multiple people, consider other options carefully.

Hotel Manu Seoul Station

The location near Seoul Station isn't great, it's a bit hard to find and not worth taking a taxi. The room is tiny, and they charge extra for toiletries like toothbrushes. There aren't many dining options downstairs; the restaurant on the first floor is quite noisy. They claim to offer an American breakfast, but the front desk staff's English is very poor, making communication difficult. Overall, it's just okay, I wouldn't recommend it.

There's not much in the way of service in Korea, so that's pretty normal. They can store luggage for you, and at least they don't give you a dirty look, which is a plus. However, this hotel doesn't clean rooms daily. I paid over 1000 and still didn't expect that; they only clean once every four days! The windows in this hotel are designed in a way that lets in a lot of light, so if you're sensitive to light while sleeping, bring an eye mask! Definitely avoid the lower floors, or be sure to bring earplugs! Ctrip's customer service was excellent and kept trying to resolve issues, but there's no negotiating with hotels abroad. So, for places like this, it's better to book through a major platform, otherwise, it can be a really frustrating experience! I found short hairs on the bed in another room, and they actually asked me how I could prove the hair was theirs. All of us have long hair... so, Koreans have a strange way of thinking. If you're a clean freak, you might want to bring your own bedding.

UH FLAT SIGNATURE GANGNAM

The biggest highlight is definitely the location — it’s super convenient, close to Gangnam’s main areas, restaurants, cafés, shopping, and public transportation. It made getting around Seoul really easy. The only downside is that the room is quite small, especially if you have large luggage or are staying for several nights. There isn’t much space to fully open suitcases comfortably.

The location is great, with easy access to the subway and restaurants nearby. I also appreciated the coffee machine, ice maker, and microwave on the first floor. However, the facilities and cleanliness were quite disappointing. In the first room, I found a cockroach under the table. They moved me to another room, but the showerhead was broken, and the sink drained very slowly. Then, on the second night, the toilet kept flushing by itself multiple times, and it only stopped after I unplugged it.

We stayed 6 nights here. Even though the hotel is older, but very clean and no smell no bugs in the toilet. 10 minutes walk to metro but 1 minute to bus stop with buses to almost everywhere, personally I do enjoy bus rides more so that is a plus. Free water, daily cleaning and basic amenities are really nice. + affordability! 100% recommend❤️

This hotel is located above the OLIVION building, with the subway exit and Myeongdong's main entrance right outside, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around. The elevator can occasionally have a short wait, but the overall location advantage is unbeatable. The room space isn't overly generous, but it's actually slightly larger than the Ibis next door. The main difference is that the Ibis front desk is on the ground floor, while this hotel's front desk is on the 17th floor, making direct access a bit less convenient. Considering the location and price, it offers great value for money, and the overall stay experience was very good. A very convenient hotel.

This hotel is just right for a 2-3 night stay. My check-in was scheduled for 5 PM, but when I asked if I could store my luggage, they actually let me check in at 3 PM. The nearest major station is Gangnam, so getting around by bus is quite convenient. If you have a lot of luggage, I'd recommend taking a taxi. Given the hilly area, a combination of bus and taxi would be ideal. I chose a standard double room, which is perfect for those who prefer showers. The only minor issue was a slight cigarette smell.

Nice location, it will take about 10 minutes from the metro station. Modern fashionable business location of the Gangnam? Sorry, it is not. Urban beauty of the Seoul is so-so. Cafes or restaurants aren't very close, but not so far. But the sport cafe with evening soccer translation is close and you will hear it all the might very well. Facilities.. You will have no toothbrush and soap. Only single use shampoo and shower gel that weren't updated even every day. Towels also not refreshed every day. Multiple use sleepers. Drinking water you may find in the hidden fridge. Electric kettle i have not use. I dont remember, maybe the tea bags where available. Even condoms where but i prefer a toothpaste with toothbrush. Once i have asked to clean the room it was ignored. But on the third day was done. One time at my 4 night stay. The best option i have met as EU standard USB 2A phone charger which helped me every night. As i have took chinese standard charger only, so stupid for me. Might be smarter next trip. Hope my currency rate will grow again and the hotel costs with these weathers will not look so high. But last time i expected more. Anyway thank you!
