The room was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The service was excellent. The location is fantastic, right next to the Fuzimiao Archway and very close to Fuzimiao Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The area itself is a hub for dining, sightseeing, and shopping.

The hotel was quite good, and the service was excellent; the staff were all patient and attentive. Its location is superb, right next to Fuzimiao Pedestrian Street. It’s just a few minutes' walk to both the Qinhuai River and Fuzimiao Temple, making it incredibly convenient. The area is quite lively, and there's parking available right outside. It's also very handy for shopping and ordering food delivery. However, the soundproofing is genuinely quite poor; I was actually woken up at 2 AM by someone watching TV upstairs. While some facilities felt a bit dated, these minor issues didn't overshadow an otherwise great experience.

The location is superb, offering great convenience for both transportation and dining. Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) is just a right turn away from the entrance. The Xiangyuan and Li Baixie restaurants downstairs offer excellent food. While Nanjing Dapaidang, Lüyiju, and the old-established Yongheyuan are decent, they are also quite affordable. Our first day at the hotel was good, but the service for our extended stay on the second day was merely average. Overall, I'm satisfied and would return.

The hotel offers excellent convenience for exploring the Confucius Temple scenic area, and parking is readily available for self-driving guests. The staff were attentive and provided good service, and breakfast was quite generous. However, it falls significantly short of 5-star standards. For one, the room amenities certainly don't meet 5-star expectations; some even felt quite worn and dated. Secondly, the soundproofing is truly terrible – I could hear everything from the adjacent room, including light switches. The only part of the hotel that might align with 5-star quality is perhaps the lobby. While its prime location is a definite plus, the overall value for money is poor.

For my trip to Nanjing, I chose the Jinling Zhuangyuan Building Hotel. Its location is excellent, being very close to the subway station and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple). Commercial complexes like Shuiyocheng are right across the street, making dining very convenient. Although we had booked a standard twin room, the front desk kindly upgraded us to a Zhuangyuan-themed twin room. The room had a charming, classic aesthetic, was very spacious, and impeccably clean. They even delivered milk daily, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. On the day of check-out, our travel plans unexpectedly changed, requiring a later departure. After explaining our situation to the front desk, they proactively extended our room key access until 5 PM. When checking out, they even gave us thoughtful small gifts: a fridge magnet and a mini Zhuangyuan-themed fan. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Highly recommended! 👍

Absolutely delighted with our stay! The friendly front desk staff even upgraded us to a suite, which made traveling with a child so much easier. I have to say, the hotel's service was truly outstanding – any minor issue we had was promptly and efficiently resolved. The hotel itself is comfortable with spacious rooms, and Fuzi Temple is conveniently located right downstairs. We stayed for two consecutive nights and will definitely choose this hotel again when we return to Nanjing.

The location is excellent, just a 6-minute walk from Fuzi Temple. It's incredibly convenient to head straight back to the hotel for a rest when you're tired from exploring. We stayed in a family room, which comfortably accommodated three people. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel's name, 'Zhuangyuan Lou' (Scholar's Tower), carries a wonderful significance. The unique decor style was also fantastic for taking photos with our children, and both adults and kids were very pleased.

The location is fantastic – right next to the Confucius Temple, Jiangnan Examination Hall, and the Qinhuai River. Plus, Yonghe Tower, Lvliuju, and Chayan Yuese are all just a stone's throw away. It's also incredibly close to Exit 6 of Metro Line 3. The air conditioning temperature was comfortable, though the room soundproofing was just average. Breakfast rotated daily over our three-day stay and was quite decent. I had seen reviews mentioning slow bathroom drainage before booking, so I was prepared for it, and it was tolerable, but an improvement would definitely be a plus. We received a complimentary soft drink at check-in, milk every evening, and a fridge magnet upon check-out.

The hotel boasts an excellent location; turn right upon exiting and you're directly at Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), making it incredibly convenient for exploring. There's also a very nice tea house downstairs, which is a great option for elderly guests who prefer not to venture out. The themed rooms are quite unique. My child, who usually avoids writing at home, spent time daily practicing quick-dry calligraphy here – that was truly a delightful surprise! Now, regarding the service. As expected from a five-star hotel, the service was truly exceptional. We had elderly family members with us, and the hotel even provided a wheelchair... This time, I had booked two twin rooms, which were conveniently arranged opposite each other. To my surprise, my room didn't have a shower stall, yet the room for the elderly guests opposite did – quite peculiar. Due to a knee injury, I couldn't use a bathtub, so I requested a room change. To my delight, the hotel immediately upgraded me to a suite, which was fantastic service! However, the suite only had one king-size bed and a camp bed. My son is too old to share a bed with me, so I ended up sleeping on the camp bed, which wasn't very stable. Still, considering they had already accommodated my request by changing my room, I didn't make a fuss. On the downside, the hotel's WiFi was very poor – perhaps a common issue with older establishments. The room lighting was also quite dim. Additionally, the soundproofing was an issue; my room seemed to be next to an elevator shaft or an electrical room, as there was constant noise throughout the night that kept me from sleeping. I eventually had to ask the front desk for earplugs to solve the problem. Despite these minor drawbacks, I'd say it's still a pretty good hotel overall.

The location is fantastic – it's just a few minutes' walk to the Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street and the pier. The night view of the Qinhuai River is stunning, and it's also lovely for a morning walk. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the Zhuangyuan Bao for breakfast is definitely worth trying. Personally, I found the rooms generally acceptable, though they have low ceilings and are quite small. What I really couldn't understand, however, were the room signs in the corridor and the noticeably old/dated doors. I've included photos for reference.

We initially booked a family room, but to our surprise, there was a power outage in the middle of the night, which was absolutely ridiculous. The electrician couldn't diagnose the problem quickly, so I reported it to the front desk. They proactively offered to move us to another room, but this new room was just as disappointing. The overall experience was terrible; everything felt incredibly old and dated. What's more, the air conditioning wasn't cooling effectively, the shower ceiling was damaged, and the showerhead was awkwardly placed in the corner, making it really inconvenient!

The location is fantastic. There is tourist food and across the road in a small llane you will have local food for local.

First off, the name 'Zhuangyuanlou' is excellent, and it felt auspicious to stay there with our child. Its location is unbeatable – right next to the Fuzi Temple and Qinhuai River, with the Fuzi Temple entrance literally right outside the door. Parking was convenient, and dining options were readily available. The cleanliness was impressive. For food deliveries, they even have robots that bring orders right to your room. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They even gave us a small gift upon check-out, which was a really nice touch! Zhuangyuanlou will definitely be my top choice whenever I visit Nanjing again!

The rooms are quite dated. Initially, I was assigned a 'Zhuangyuan Room' (a premium room type), which had large cracks on the walls and felt quite dim. I had originally booked a Deluxe Room. When I inquired at the front desk about the room change, they explained that the Zhuangyuan Room was an upgrade due to its higher floor. However, I requested to be moved back to a Deluxe Room. I believe hotels shouldn't change a guest's room type without prior notification, especially when the alternative isn't an actual improvement. I'm unsure of the specific reasoning behind this. Eventually, both of my rooms were switched back to Deluxe Rooms, and they were conveniently located opposite each other, which was a good arrangement. That being said, even the Deluxe Rooms had cracks on the walls. This hotel is really in need of a renovation. Regarding service, when our car arrived at the entrance, the parking attendant at the door seemed to intentionally ignore us when we tried to ask for clarification on the parking instructions, as we hadn't heard him clearly. Ultimately, it was the bellhop who helped us with our luggage that clarified the situation. The service from this parking attendant is definitely not up to the standard expected from a five-star hotel. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Confucius Temple, making it very convenient for exploring both the Confucius Temple area and the Qinhuai River. Breakfast was decent. On our last morning, during breakfast, a gentleman who appeared to be a manager was exceptionally warm and welcoming to guests, and his oversight of the restaurant service was very impressive.
