"Review: 5-Star Comfort with a Small Location Caveat Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at Centro Olaya Riyadh and had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is impeccable—the rooms are modern, sleek, and exceptionally clean, offering a perfect urban retreat in the middle of a busy city. What I loved: Service: The staff were professional and went out of their way to ensure a smooth check-in and comfortable stay. Facilities: The rooftop pool and gym are highlights of the property, offering great views and a chance to relax. Vibe: It has a very chic, lifestyle-focused atmosphere that is perfect for both business travelers and couples. The only downside: The only thing to be aware of is that there aren’t many shops or convenience stores within immediate walking distance of the hotel entrance. If you need snacks, pharmacy items, or a quick retail fix, you’ll likely need to take a short Uber or drive to one of the nearby malls or commercial strips. Verdict: Despite the lack of immediate shops nearby, the quality of the hotel and the service make it a 5-star stay for me. I would definitely stay here again, just with a little more preparation for my personal supplies!"

"The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the environment was elegant! The hotel breakfast was rich and varied, and the front desk staff had a great attitude. It's very close to Kingdom Centre, just a 10-minute walk. There's also a Chinese restaurant, Jin Xiu Dong Fang (錦繡東方), right across from Kingdom Centre, offering authentic Chinese cuisine."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just across the street from Kingdom Tower. The room amenities were complete, though a bit dated. Unfortunately, there were people drag racing late at night, which disturbed my sleep. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious and nutritious options. However, as Ramadan began on February 18th, non-Muslim guests had their breakfast relocated to a different area with fewer choices."

"The hotel is great, loved the size of the room, amenities, cleanliness, and comfort is on point for the price. The reception and check in process is smooth, bilingual support can be an additional point but the communication is still 👌. The room service and house keeping is also great. However what can become a nuisance quite easily is that the hotel claims to have a parking but it stays full so you have to park around the hotel and it is a busy area hence it gets a bit difficult. Moreover, for now the paid parking meters are here but they are not charging yet, once they do .. it will be more difficult to park outside the premises of the hotel. The other downturn for me personally is the size of the commode in the bathroom. Room for improvement here as not only the commode sprays water everywhere while flushing but the bidet makes alot of noise. Over all, I may come back to the hotel for the peace And quiet in the room, lobbies, and the size of the room but the parking can be a down turn for me."

"Excellent! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm on a business trip. The environment is great and very clean. The hotel breakfast is very plentiful, delicious, and beautiful. I really enjoyed it and will definitely come back next time. It's great value for money."

"I've been using Trip.com for years, and this is the first time I've ever left such a negative review. I checked in late at night, only to find the door lock was ridiculously broken, almost falling off. When I went downstairs and immediately asked for a room change, the front desk acted as if they hadn't heard me, saying they'd send someone to fix it right away and told me to go back upstairs. Even though they managed to drill the nail back in, it felt like it would fall off again with just a push from the outside. I contacted Trip.com, and I overheard the front desk telling their customer service on the phone, 'It's OK. OK, just the safety lock.' Later, they told me it was fixed and to go back up. Throughout the entire negotiation process that evening, there wasn't a single apology. Is this what the Mercure brand has come to now? With the help of Trip.com customer service (Yanzi), I finally got a room change, utterly exhausted. I don't understand why they wouldn't switch rooms when there were clearly other rooms of the same type available. After a ten-hour flight, and no rest – who could give a good review? By the way, Yanzi was truly efficient and excellent at communication, a stark contrast to the speechless hotel staff. P.S. The location is excellent. Subway and supermarket are all conveniently available. Breakfast is around 100+ riyals; it's filling and even has congee, but it's not worth purchasing separately."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Great hostel right in the center of Riyadh, which makes everything super accessible to shops, restaurants, and transportation are all just a short walk away. The common kitchen is really convenient, and I love that they offer free drinking water, coffee, and tea anytime. One thing that could be improved is the bed mattresses, as they’re starting to look a bit old. Replacing them would make the stay even more comfortable. Special mention to Paul, the supervisor - extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely smart. I even dreaming about hiring him someday to help me build a hostel empire in Europe and the Philippines because he’s really that good at what he does! Overall, a great experience with just a few things that could be improved. Would definitely stay again!"

"Overall it was wonderful meeting people like Moataz Mersal - he was always very quick in welcoming my wife n I to the Nakheel restaurant. Great food great service - thumbs up! Then there was Raghad (guest services) who gave timely and sound advice to my wife regarding safety n metro directions to National Museum etc. Need to mention Montaser n Ahmed as well! Such attentive staff at the bar & gym! 👍 On the other hand, the housekeeping team needs re-training. Everyday (for four days three nights) they forgot to replenish items in the room! We had to keep calling them! 👎"

"It's an older hotel, but it was renovated last year. The lobby and rooms are freshly updated, though the rooms are on the smaller side due to the original old design and layout. Breakfast is pretty good and offers a good variety, and the service is decent too."
