"**Review of Urban Sleepery** Had a great experience overall. The location is really good, and the staff were super friendly. I loved the free coffee and the fact that they had full cooking facilities—super handy if you want to make your own meals. The only issue was the shower—the hot water was hard to control. It kept switching between too hot and too cold, which was a bit annoying. Other than that, it was a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for the price and convenience!"

"The room was quite spacious and seemed newly renovated. The location was great, close to the lake, the Spa, and the Government Gardens (which were under renovation). I didn't have much interaction with the service; check-in and check-out were standard."

"The hotel is quiet and has great security. After 11pm, the main entrance is locked, so guests need to scan their card to enter the lobby, and scan again to access their room floor. I really like this security setup. The location is also excellent — very close to the town center, with easy access to restaurants and supermarkets."

"Seriously, just spend a bit more and stay at a Pullman. There's absolutely no service here! I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was truly awful! The check-in staff barely said a word. After I filled out the info, they just handed me the room key and immediately started talking to another colleague. They didn't even tell us where the breakfast restaurant was; we had to find it ourselves the next day. In the evening, the shower gel dispenser was empty. I called for some, and when they brought it up, they just handed it over without saying a single word or an apology, then left. 🤣 Then, in the afternoon, we heard someone trying to open our room door. It was a father and son, and they had a room key for *our* room, lol. I called the front desk, and they just said they accidentally gave them the wrong key. No apology, and then they just hung up on me. Is the front desk really that arrogant? The room facilities are quite old and dated. The location is also on the outskirts of town. I really don't recommend staying here... It truly ruined our trip."

"The hotel is beautiful, and comfortable. Staff are very attentive and helpful in every way, from front desk to cleaning the rooms to serving the meals. Sadly the hotels spas and sauna were not functional and the “free” service at the Polynesian was over crowded and full of kids. No towels were supplied and an extra charge is charge to get a towel. But the experience is not overly unpleasant. Location is great as it is close to all attractions and the lake."

"This is a great hotel. The room facilities are very new and clean. Although the window cannot be opened, you can directly see Lake Rotorua. The hotel's location is very close to the city center, and you can reach Rotorua's food street just around the corner. However, I have a love-hate relationship with the hotel's laundry room. Both the washing machine and dryer are free to use, and detergent is automatically dispensed, making it very convenient with one-button operation. But later in my trip, I developed contact dermatitis, or a skin allergy. The doctor said it was likely caused by wearing clothes with detergent residue after soaking in hot springs. While it's not the hotel's fault, I still recommend rinsing clothes a few extra times if you use the hotel laundry, if you have the time."

"Really good! front desk is so helpful for activity booking and other inquiries, the common room is big and makes it easy to socialise.. kitchen is decent size for what its accomodating. rooms are standard for hostel - shared rooms have bed curtains and lockers, own outlets etc"

"The location is super central in Rotorua, making it convenient to get everywhere. However, the valet parking is ridiculously expensive at $59 a day – even more than in Wellington! The temporary parking spots right outside only allow for 5 minutes, and parking nearby is a hassle. You can park in the Pukuatua St car park, about a 10-minute walk away, for $1/hour. The breakfast was good; they even had a pot of pre-cooked sunny-side-up eggs, and the fried noodles were delicious. Our room was spacious with a great view, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plus it was well-equipped."

"Interesting 3 bedroom apartment, building is made of central hexagon shape with the sunken living room in the middle. Only problem is the 7th person has to sleep in a portable collapsable spring bed so not comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and host promptly came to our rescue when we couldn't figure out how to power on the heater."
