A fantastic room with lots of space. Although the different style of the bathroom with sliding doors may not be to other’s taste. Breakfast has lots of options. Be warned that you are not close to the tourist areas of Shanghai or a metro station.

I would give this hotel a 5 stars, however I am going to give it a 1 star... My partner and I loved our stay here, the hotel its self is fantastic, location is a 20-30 min taxi ride to centre of shanghai, but we wern't too bothered as it was still in a nice area. The reason I am giving it a 1 star is because we got charge $600 for 1 small load of washing, consisting of mostly tshirts and underwear (enough to fit in 1 bag). We immediately followed up with the staff there, and refused to give us a discount because we signed off on it. I tried to reason with him saying this is a ridiculous amount and have no idea why they think it is fair to charge this much to have clothes put in the washing machine and dryer and returned to us. They would not give us even a partial discount and this left a very sour taste in our mouth.

Lovely stay on the 43rd floor. Lovely room with very comfortable slippers and robe. Executive lounge was nice and the afternoon snacks and drinks were very good The breakfast eggs that were freshly made were very nice but the buffet food was only luke warm. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Overall a very nice stay

Beautiful hotel. Our kids love the river view family room. The service was excellent. Sheldon at checkin is the friendly and knowledgeable. Makes us feel at home .

Stayed with family. Great view. Overall good, but room felt humid and a bit smelly which might be normal with weather. Easy check-in and check out.

Had a great experience staying in JW Marriott. Hotel was clean, staff extremely friendly, and everyone goes over and beyond to serve you. I was trying to get a place to work and Grizz, who was stationed at the executive lounge went over and beyond to see to my needs. Thank you JW Marriott, thank you Grizz

This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at! Everything was clean, the staff were kind, and the gym amenities were excellent. The breakfast was outstanding, with the pancake man making adorable bear-shaped pancakes for the kids. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Kids adored the soft toys decor, adults enjoyed the river view. Hotel felt very new and staff were great. We were given an early check in. Buffet dinner served unlimited grilled lobster. No tourist attractions within walking distance.

Except being a little bit far away from main tourists attractions, everything is very nice. Thank you Angel so much for helping me order the food, she was so lovely. And thank you the team for the cake, it was very delicious. Regards

I had a great experience! The service was excellent, staff were helpful and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and made for a relaxing stay. Will definitely stay here again in Shanghai

Good hotel. Rooms with a view of the river are great. Breakfasts are decent and varied. Pastries are not tasty. The breakfast zone is small, we even once saw a long line in the restaurant for breakfast. What really spoiled the impression a little was the constant smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor on the floor near the fire escape. Apparently, people go there to smoke. The same situation near the fire escape in the room with the pool. There is no sauna in the gym and pool.
