KanfengjingdelurenThis hotel is great for a vacation, though the air in the rooms isn't the best, possibly due to its age and location in the mountains. (It smells a bit musty.) However, the oxygen content is high, making for a very comfortable sleep.
A leisurely stroll around the lake is also very pleasant.
The lake-view seating at breakfast is absolutely fantastic, and enjoying breakfast while watching the sunrise is a truly unique experience. The downside is that breakfast itself is a bit underwhelming; the semi-buffet set menu feels a bit haphazard. The crayfish noodles with thirteen-spice seasoning didn't hit the mark, and the portion of noodles was too large. I'd suggest offering a smaller portion option.
The chef for dinner was excellent! The oil and salt levels were perfectly controlled, and the flavors were spot-on. The braised shrimp, stir-fried eel with scallion oil, and stir-fried loofah were all incredibly authentic.
My only slight regret is that the hotel's own landscaping and small environment aren't as good as they could be (due to design and planning).

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Garden Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful complimentary snacks and drinks prepared for us. It was also a lovely surprise to find a fresh rose in the room — such a beautiful detail.
The breakfast was very enjoyable, especially the delicious cappuccino. The swimming pool was absolutely amazing, and the gym with its beautiful view of the pool made the whole experience even more relaxing.
The resort truly makes you feel like you are on holiday in Thailand, even though you are in Hangzhou. The atmosphere, design, and facilities are outstanding.
A special thank you to Xiaofan for her warm hospitality and attentive service. She made our stay even more pleasant and memorable.
Rose Garden is truly one of the best resorts in Hangzhou. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back again!

Simplified review: Just book this hotel, no need to think twice!
Location: About a 6-8 minute walk from the subway station, roughly 300 meters.
Facilities: The air conditioning is very cold, and the water heater works wonderfully. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and there's a makeup mirror and a fridge – everything you could need. The facial recognition for the elevator can be a bit inconvenient; it would be better if they provided key cards. Other than that, no issues. They even provide essence, lotion, makeup remover pads, and disposable face towels... I was truly amazed! It's the first time I've encountered such an excellent and thoughtful hotel, truly meticulous. The washer and dryer work great. The gym equipment is decent, pretty good actually, and they even have a power rack. Smart devices and projection TV are all available and work very well. I have to praise the smart devices; they're not too bright, unlike some other smart hotels where the devices stay lit all night. There are 4 elevators, so no waiting. They also have robots for delivery. That's all I can remember for now, but overall, it's fantastic.
Soundproofing: Excellent, very quiet. There's a blanket outside the door.
Bedding: Very comfortable.
Service: I was assisted by Jian Lan (Sword Orchid), who was very considerate. Even though I didn't pre-book the free station pickup service, they still managed to arrange it for me on the day. The check-in process was like that of a super five-star hotel, very innovative and impressive.
Breakfast and late-night snacks are both excellent. They also include afternoon tea and complimentary cocktails.
Staying near Hangzhou East Station is also very convenient, and taxis to anywhere are not expensive.
Highly recommended! I won't look at any other hotels when I visit Hangzhou again. Thank you!

Guest UserThe environment is absolutely stunning, small but beautiful, with picturesque views at every turn. The free drinks on the first basement level and the oden in the evening were both delicious. Traveling with kids, they had a blast playing in the courtyard's water features. I just wish there were more diverse parent-child activities. Also, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy; I had to wear earplugs to sleep at night.

Guest UserThe environment is great, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful! This was a very satisfying trip, and it's not my first time here. I know I'll definitely be back. This time I came to relax and literally spent two days just lounging at the hotel. The hotel's public facilities and activities are extensive, and ordering takeout nearby is also quite convenient, haha. These past few days have been amazing, 100 points! The Shuiyang Chinese restaurant lives up to its reputation, it's really super delicious! The swimming pool is also very clean, and the changing rooms and storage rooms are all very clean and convenient! All in all, I really love this hotel ❤️ All the pictures below were taken by us, haha.

georgeshenThe hotel was fully booked on the day of our check-in, and we arrived over an hour early. Several staff members introduced us to various activities to pass the time, including a dedicated room for movies, board games, and a swimming pool. While waiting for our room, the service and amenities at InterContinental Danyang were exceptionally warm and thoughtful.
The room was a family lake-view suite, accommodating four people. The hotel's location, far from the central lake area, was incredibly tranquil, with no tourists by the lake. Away from city light pollution, we surprisingly saw the Milky Way on our first night, a rare sight in East China.
The swimming pool offered different children's activities daily. The botanical garden had a vast array of flowers and butterflies, along with a koi and swan pond where we could feed the fish. The hotel's two wings also featured a lighthouse and an observation deck.
The buffet dinner had everything we could ask for, and on Chinese Valentine's Day, they even gave out roses. The fish head dish at the Chinese restaurant was absolutely superb. Breakfast deserves special praise; despite the hotel being fully booked, we could order noodles via our phones, and the staff proactively asked about our coffee preferences. This is exactly the standard expected from an established InterContinental brand, and even with the summer crowd, the service and quality were uncompromised.
Finally, a special shout-out to our thoughtful butler, Emily. From the moment we checked in, she was incredibly attentive. On our last day, we had an early morning departure for a yacht in the central lake area. Without hesitation, Emily helped us arrange a late check-out, even during the busy summer season.
To be honest, when I heard that the InterContinental was being rebranded, I had some reservations, worrying about a potential drop in service. However, after staying here, I can confidently say that this is by far the best hotel in China, in terms of both quality and service, that we've stayed at with our child during the summer season. Both its hard and soft assets are top-notch, and its service easily rivals that of established luxury hotel brands. I rarely choose to stay at the same hotel twice in the same location, but InterContinental Danyang has made me eagerly anticipate my next visit.

congcong0613Environment: The environment is really superb. I booked a water villa, and the hotel upgraded me to a deluxe water villa, which had a better location and was closer to the hotel lobby. The balcony in the room overlooked the lake, and you could feed fish and ducklings from the balcony railing. There were so many koi in the hotel, some even bigger than the ducks, which was really fun.
Service: Every staff member I encountered was super nice. When my child mentioned that the snacks delivered to the room were delicious, they specially sent two extra portions that afternoon. When I checked out, they even prepared some for me to take away, which was incredibly touching! Thumbs up, thumbs up!
Food: The breakfast area isn't big, but it's delicious! There's a wide variety of bread, and both Chinese and Western breakfast options are very rich. Even if you go to eat after 9 am, there's no long queue; it's quiet with fewer people. We had dinner at the Baiyun Restaurant, which was also very good, costing a little over 200 yuan per person, which was quite reasonable.
Facilities: The hotel is indeed not new anymore, as it has been open for a long time, but it's very well maintained. And this Chinese style just looks ancient and elegant, which I personally really like.
Rowboat: Three of us took the hotel's rowboat. It was 400 yuan for an hour to charter the boat, which is indeed a bit more expensive than outside, but the advantage is no queues, no exposure to the sun, and there wasn't a second boat on the outer lake waterway, so we had a private secret retreat all to ourselves – so comfortable!

This hotel exceeded our expectations! We were in Future City near the East Station for a summer vacation with our child and checked out a few hotels in the area. Huijing Hotel was by far the best experience we've had!
1. The front desk service was very efficient. Upon check-in, they gave us a complimentary children's breakfast and proactively offered kids' toiletries. What really touched me was when it rained during our outing; a young lady from the hotel walked us out with an umbrella and helped us hail a taxi.
2. The room was clean and tidy. The refrigerator even had a freezer function, and they provided two popsicles. Both this thoughtful gesture and the fact that the air conditioning was turned on before we arrived show how dedicated the hotel is to providing excellent service. It was a refreshing relief during the hot summer.
3. The breakfast was plentiful. The freshly wrapped wontons were my favorite, and they had mint-flavored fig jelly dessert, which my child absolutely loved.
Overall, we're very satisfied and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Guest UserThis hotel is nestled by the water, surrounded by abundant natural beauty. Its design cleverly blends nature and a sense of divinity, with lakeside rooms offering incredible tranquility, perfect for a relaxing and healing getaway. The overall style is modern and chic, and the rooms are warmly furnished with excellent natural light. The specially designed lighting and color palette create a comfortable ambiance. The butler service is meticulous, with thoughtful arrangements before and after check-in, and they are always available when needed. They are very attentive, warm, and friendly. We were traveling with our child, and the butler got along wonderfully with our baby, so I highly recommend it for families. The service is efficient and problems during our stay were promptly resolved. They also offer wellness programs and activities like sound healing, spa treatments, and afternoon tea. The hotel's cuisine is vegetarian, with exquisite and delicious dishes. In short, I highly, highly recommend it! It's a charming hotel I'd definitely visit again.

DouzhijiaLocated on the West Lake waterfront, you can enjoy views of West Lake and Baochu Pagoda from the room, and the lobby opens right out to the lake. At the same time, you can also experience the vibrant and lively atmosphere of Hangzhou. There are many hotels by West Lake, but my wife has a special fondness for this one. Haha.
