Hotel near Fengxian Development Zone,Shanghai
Kimpton Nine Trees Shanghai is located in Fengxian, the eco-friendly heartland of southern Shanghai. The hotel adjoins the A-level theatre Shanghai Nine Trees Art Center and is surrounded by the 7,000-acre Central Ecological Park, and it is a nature-infused retreat. The hotel features 229 guestrooms .Three distinctive restaurants and bars serve as vibrant social destinations: SOLA & LUNA all-day dining restaurant, inspired by the northern Mediterranean, evokes a sun-drenched coastal spirit; SONG, the signature Chinese restaurant, offers creative Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisine; ECHO bar draws inspiration from natural caves, inviting guests to escape the ordinary. In addition, the hotel offers light-filled, highly flexible meeting and event spaces for inspired gatherings and social moments. Seamlessly blending modern wellness concepts with Kimpton’s signature playful social spirit, the hotel brings guests a range of novel experiences: EverNine Spa & Wellness (featuring an indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, and more), an outdoor plunge pool, Nest Kids Club, and Zombilee Pet Park. Here, guests can unwind amidst greenery, recharge through gourmet socializing, and unlock new possibilities in life.

"My family and I celebrated a birthday at the Kimpton Shanghai Nine Trees Art Center, which just opened a week ago. We brought our dog along for a weekend getaway. 📍 **Check-in Details** 🕐 **Opening Status**: Grand opening on June 30th. 🏨 **Room Type**: Pet-friendly room, Grand King Room. 🚗 **Transportation**: About a 1-hour drive from the city center. 🐩 **Bringing Pets | Key Tips to Avoid Pitfalls** * The hotel only has 19 pet-friendly rooms (very limited availability). * Only 4 of these rooms have direct access to an outdoor lawn. * **Mandatory Requirements**: Dog license + valid vaccination records (within one year). 🛑 **Important Things to Note**: * The room photos on Ctrip are misleading! When booking, *always* confirm if the room has direct lawn access. * **Pet Policy**: * Dogs are not allowed on the lobby floor; they must be in a pet stroller. * Large dogs must use the outdoor entrance/exit. 🏠 **Real Experience with Room Types** ▪️ **Pet-Friendly Room** * Equipped with a pet bed, toys, and other pet supplies, which our dog adapted to well. However, the room we stayed in did not have lawn access, which was a discrepancy from the online photos. ▪️ **Grand King Room** * Spacious and airy, no strange odors. A clean and comfortable stay. 🍽️ **Dining Experience** * Had dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was decent. * As it was a birthday stay, we received a complimentary mini-cake and welcome fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. 🔴 **New Hotel Issues Are Apparent**: * Insufficient staffing in the restaurant. No napkins on the table. Hot dishes took almost an hour to arrive. The overall service pace was slow. 🌿 **Environment & Surroundings** * The suburban resort feel is very pleasant. A 1-hour drive is acceptable for a getaway. * A 5-minute walk takes you directly to the Nine Trees Art Center, where you can watch shows or visit exhibitions. There's also a 'Yichi Garden' within the park, with complete amenities. 🙋 **Service Details (True State of a New Hotel in its Adjustment Period)** * Check-in process was smooth, and the attitude was fine. * However, staff had limited familiarity with hotel facilities and the types of drinks available during happy hour. The team is clearly in an adjustment phase. The new hotel does not currently offer birthday room decorations. ✅ **Overall Pros** 1. Convenient suburban location, suitable for a short weekend escape from the city. 2. CCD design provides a strong artistic atmosphere and quality hardware. ⚠️ **Real Cons & Staying Advice** 1. The entire hotel is in a serious adjustment period, with insufficient staffing in dining and service. * If you're particular about service details, I recommend visiting again in 3-6 months. 2. **Crucial for Pet Owners**: Confirm in advance whether your room has direct lawn access and bring all necessary pet documents."

GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give a special shout-out to Penny from Guest Relations. She proactively called me before check-in to carefully ask about my needs, and her demeanor was warm and considerate. After connecting on WeChat, she promptly responded to all my inquiries, from check-in details to various last-minute requests, always arranging everything perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing throughout my stay. The check-in process upon arrival was smooth and efficient. The overall environment was clean and comfortable, and both the soft and hard amenities were excellent. The staff as a whole were highly professional. From the initial communication and assistance during my stay to the seamless overall service, everything was spot-on, making me feel genuinely cared for. It was a completely pleasant and worry-free experience. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe Executive Room was spacious and airy, with soft, comfortable bedding and exquisite bathroom amenities. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a truly peaceful rest. The hotel's location is superb, making getting around a breeze; you can hail a taxi right downstairs. A special shout-out to Jeremy from the Executive Lounge! GGuest UserThis stay at J Hotel's 90th-floor Xiangyun River View King Room was amazing. The window-side bathtub, paired with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling river view, created an incredibly atmospheric bathing and sightseeing experience. The reception staff on the 101st floor, a thoughtful gentleman from Shanghai, perfectly accommodated all my check-in requests. Upon arrival, I received a complimentary fresh fruit platter. The 101st-floor lobby bar offered a full selection of soft drinks, and the outdoor viewing area provided spectacular views. I even had a local Shanghai 'uncle' (guide) accompany me from the first floor up to the 103rd and 120th floors, offering detailed explanations of the sculpture artworks. The service throughout was impeccable. The high-altitude room was quiet and comfortable; both the facilities and the service were faultless. A perfect 'in the clouds' stay experience!

MMeihuizzzzThe Peninsula Hotel is simply beyond words. The rooms are incredibly luxurious and opulent everywhere you look. But more importantly, there's an air of 'respect' that you truly have to experience for yourself. For breakfast, I loved the Peninsula classic pancakes, and in the evening, I enjoyed the bar on the 14th floor.

CCHABOOOOThe hotel room offers a fantastic view, almost directly facing the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. I really love its excellent location on the North Bund, which is convenient yet avoids the crowds found in other popular areas. Before checking in, I was a bit worried after reading some reviews that mentioned the hotel's facilities were a bit old. However, upon arrival, I found everything to be very well-maintained, so there was no need for concern at all. What truly impressed me the most was the service – it's arguably the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. Manager Lily went above and beyond to help me with various requests, even late at night. Throughout my entire stay, she was incredibly attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable and at ease. If I ever return to Shanghai, I will definitely choose to stay here again.

GGuest UserI chose the Pullman Shanghai Jing An for my trip to Shanghai this time because of its convenient location right next to Shanghai Railway Station, within walking distance. The lobby was quite elegant, and the front desk concierge service was excellent – very polite and welcoming. Although the room wasn't large, it was perfectly fine for one person. The lady at the front desk was very considerate and explained the room layout clearly. The room itself was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserAfter comparing several luxury hotels on the Bund, I ultimately chose the Waldorf Astoria, and the biggest selling points were Concierges Max and Rookie. They perfectly executed basic services like opening car doors, offering hot towels, and escorting luggage. What truly stood out was their proactive attention to guests' needs. When I wanted to learn about the historical architecture on the Bund, Max meticulously explained the story behind each building. Rookie helped me book a reservation at the rooftop terrace, allowing me to enjoy the full city skyline. All my requests were promptly handled, and they were genuinely helpful without being pushy – their service was just right, never overbearing. The historic building itself has a rich heritage, and the room comfort was top-notch. These two concierges made the entire stay far exceed my expectations. Highly recommended!

MMiniyouI brought my child for a stay, and my little one was quite happy with the hotel. A female staff member on the W floor, who was guiding us, also had a great attitude – very warm and proactive in asking if we needed any help. In the evening, I planned to go to the bar for a drink and enjoy the night view after my child fell asleep. Around 9 PM, feeling a bit cold, I wore the hotel room's bathrobe and room slippers to the bar on the fourth floor for a quick drink, all without leaving the hotel. Upon entering, they first verified my guest status, and a male server led me in. As we were walking, the staff member told me to go back and change my shoes and that bathrobes weren't allowed. I paid a high room rate, used the standard hotel amenities, and was consuming within the hotel, so why should I be dictated on what to wear? There were no dress code notifications at all. They didn't inform me upon entry but waited until I was inside to tell me to leave. If there really is such a rule, the hotel has an obligation to clearly communicate it, perhaps by placing a sign where the slippers are provided. What's more, the male server even mentioned they had replacement slippers (these were plastic, not disposable), which clearly indicates they know guests might come in disposable slippers. Are they just trying to make things difficult for people?

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at the Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai, and I was especially impressed with the personalized service from Daniel. From arranging our room based on my pre-arrival inquiries and confirming my arrival time, to securing a high-floor room and upgrading us to a room with a fantastic view, everything was perfect. The room's view and outlook were excellent. Daniel was also incredibly responsive with restaurant recommendations after check-in, arranging parking, and answering any questions we had during our stay. The attention to detail in their service truly shows how well-managed the hotel is. I'll definitely choose Andaz again next time, and a big shout-out to Daniel for his amazing service! 👍

MM_DThis stay at the Conrad Shanghai was truly wonderful, thanks to the attentive service from the hotel staff. A special shout-out to Ivy, Freya, and Quain-G, who upgraded our room to a higher floor with a fantastic view during check-in. They even prepared a birthday card and cake, which was such a thoughtful touch—a big thumbs up! 👍 We also received coupons for the Long Yu Peking Duck, drinks at the 65/F bar, and breakfast. The food was delicious and unique, and the views were stunning, adding a delightful surprise to our trip—another thumbs up! 👍 Beyond feeling incredibly welcome this time, the hotel's location near Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the subway station is very convenient. The lobby also has space for taxis, making it easy to get around. I'd definitely love to stay here again if I have the chance.
