"We booked a 3 queen bed room with no window thinking that we usually are in the room only at night and we don't open the window but have the air con on. To our surprise they turn the air conditioner off once October shows up. It's not written anywhere when making the booking. The answer from the reception was that winter is coming (we were in the game of thrones). The brought us a fan, not funny. Then in the middle of the shower the hot water stopped working, this time the receptionist came to the room, nelt under the sink and put in a card. Like magic there was hot water. Unbelievable this time we were told that if we're not satisfied we can check out and go to another hotel - the time was 23:00 and we were leaving anyway the next day. I've never heard an employee tell me that I can check out if the hotel fucks up before, thank you for a once in a lifetime experience."

"I stayed here for almost a week and it was a really good experience overall. The room was quite small, but perfect for a solo traveler, you don’t spend much time inside anyway when you’re out exploring Beijing. The location is great, just a short walk from the subway, which makes it very easy to reach the city center.
The shared areas (toilets, showers, sinks, etc.) were surprisingly clean, and I often saw staff cleaning throughout the day. The managers and front desk team were really kind and patient, they even helped me understand how to use some Chinese apps, despite the language barrier.
The only small downside was the noise and sound insulation, you can hear footsteps from the hallway quite easily. But considering the price, it’s very reasonable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good deal and don’t mind a smaller room without windows."

Even though our flight was delayed past midnight, she kindly waited for us and ensured we got settled without any hassle.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in a cozy style. We especially loved the great view of the Workers’ Stadium- it added a nice touch to our stay. The owner also provided thoughtful amenities and drinking water, which made us feel well taken care of.

The location was fantastic for both shopping and dining. I especially want to commend the small restaurant's beef pancake; it was incredibly crispy with a generous amount of meat. And the mixed tofu with century eggs was also absolutely delicious. Afterward, I visited a nearby jewelry store and bought a beautiful ring with a delicate setting. I will definitely come back to stay here again whenever I have the chance."

"I'd say this place is probably best for families with kids traveling from out of town who are looking for a budget-friendly option. As a solo traveler, I absolutely wouldn't pick it again.
Let's start with the facilities. Upon arrival, the room's cleanliness was just so-so. The marble tabletop had cracks, and there were dirty spots everywhere. These weren't deal-breakers, but the worst part was the foul smell of rotten fish or seafood as soon as I walked in – likely from expired food stored in the fridge previously. The bedsheets and duvet covers, though washed, looked a bit old, and the mattress comfort was truly mediocre. I kept feeling the air conditioning on the second floor wasn't cool, so I peered at the vent, and it was so thick with dust, it looked like it was about to form spiderwebs.
Moving on to the service and logistics: The location pinned on Ctrip was inaccurate. Following the navigation led us to the wrong place, forcing us to call for directions and go through extra trouble. The young woman who came to pick us up wasn't particularly friendly, certainly not making us feel welcome.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place for guests with high standards for quality, unless you're absolutely determined to stay in Liujiayao and have a family of 5-6 people, in which case the 'value for money' aspect might just barely pass."

The hotel staff were friendly and polite, English language via translation app which I’m comfortable with.
The low score is due to the disgusting carpet in the common areas including hallways. Specifically level 3 it was NEVER cleaned it has stains everywhere. Gross
The location is OK not great, yes subway is close but not a lot of good restaurants around.
The dirty carpet is really bad and should be replaced, I would not return until the carpet is replaced.

which is very convenient for visiting my daughter who has studied here.
Service: Nobody could speak English, which made me feel uncomfortable. Especially, about the breakfast or any useful information.
The Hotel management team should consider the guests who are international students and parents.
Terrible staff: Some of the female staff in the night time was very terrible and no service mind. The management team should explain or train her
that here is a Hotel which is not the dormitory. The staff should more polite or did not show the evil looking face expression.

After a late night exploring Guijie Street, I hit the pillow and was out like a light! The room's minimalist design was great, with a bathroom featuring separate wet and dry areas, a high-speed hairdryer, and an illuminated makeup mirror – such a thoughtful touch! The front desk staff were lovely, even recommending a hidden coffee shop in the hutongs. And the location? Just a 3-minute walk to Yonghe Temple – incredibly convenient!

GGuest UserOverall, it was an excellent stay. The bed linen was spotless, free from any yellowing or stains. The hotel facilities were very comprehensive and well-maintained. The towels and bath sheets were thick and highly absorbent. The toilet was sparkling clean, and there was always an ample supply of toilet paper. The front desk staff were very friendly and provided thoughtful, attentive service.

HH^_^fengyiyangMy stay at this hotel truly exceeded all expectations! From the moment I stepped out of the car, staff members proactively assisted with my luggage. At check-in, the front desk associate greeted me with a warm smile, swiftly processed everything, and thoughtfully informed me about nearby amenities. Throughout my stay, any requests to the front desk were answered instantly, and items were delivered incredibly promptly. In the evenings, I even noticed staff quietly reminding late-returning guests to stay safe—these thoughtful details truly impressed me.
The cleanliness was exceptionally reassuring; I was immediately impressed the moment I opened the room door. The floors were so spotless you could walk barefoot without picking up any dust. The bedding had a subtle fresh scent and felt incredibly soft and fluffy. The bathroom glass was free of water stains, and the vanity and toilet were pristine, looking brand new. Even the corners of the wardrobe were completely dust-free. Each day, the housekeeping staff would discreetly fold any clothes I had left out, and used towels were promptly replaced with fresh ones. This level of meticulousness is truly rare.
Staying here provided complete peace of mind; it was both comfortable and reassuring. I've already made it my top choice for future visits and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserTo be honest, we were quite unhappy. First, we deliberately chose a non-smoking room. The room we got smelled like an ashtrey. After we discussed with the service, we got another room. But still, that was annoying after a long journey. Secondly: The breakfast. If you deliberatly choose, that you want one + pay for one, then that normally has a reason (e.g. no stress in the morning). The breakfast consisted of two small, sweet 'pastries' from Familymart (the small ones in the plastic bags), a sausage and a small drinking milk carton. Sorry, but that's definitly no breakfast. Maybe just don't write it on your profile, then we would have choosen another one :)

AAnonymous UserI was asked to book a room for my relatives and friends who came from afar when they got married, but the service at the front desk was really beyond words. The advantage of the hotel is that it is very close to my home. Originally, it was a very festive thing to arrange for relatives and friends to stay. As a result, being treated by the waiter was not pleasant at all. First we checked in as if we all owed the front desk money. From the tone of voice to the expression, nothing makes people feel comfortable. During breakfast, because my relatives came from the countryside, I was criticized for eating too much. Because I was in a hurry to decorate the wedding venue in the morning, I said I would come back two days later to issue the invoice, but I was told by the front desk that it was not possible!

GGuest UserVery welcoming hostel with a helpful staff and cultural activities on Sunday. It’s a great way to make friends and have a sleeping place for a fair price, mainly if you can sleep well on beds that are not as soft as the European ones (typical in China) or you can sleep with some snoring in case of booking a 6-people room and not being that lucky. They give free earplugs anyways. They have an open terrace or stove top for smokers, to eat outside etc. If you don’t bring them with you you’ll have to buy slippers, shampoo, small towel from a nearby supermarket or from their machine (only if you can pay through Alipay or wechat or someone can help you in exchange of your cash). If you bring heavy bags tell the front desk in advance to use the lift only available for these cases. Otherwise just climb 2 floors and you’ll be there. The place is 14 and 17min away on foot from two different subway line stations. For westerners you have non squatting toilets at the third floor. As a hostel there is an age limit of 50 years old, so be aware of this. They have a fridge you can use and no microwave for safety issues due to a ban from the police station

GGuest UserTake the elderly to Beijing for a slow tour. Because it is Prince Gong's Mansion in the afternoon, get off the bus and go straight to this place. I chose to stay here blindly. I am very satisfied with the sunny family triple room 201. It is very convenient to travel near the subway entrance. It is very quiet at night and does not affect the rest. Beihai, Shichahai and Nanluoguxiang are free to stroll around. It is close to everywhere. I will choose it again

The location is between Shichahai and Nanluoguxiang, both of which are about a 10-minute walk away. It's also fun to explore the hutongs off the main road.
The amenities, which were hard to find online, included two plastic bottles of water, face towels, bath towels, slippers, cups, toothbrush set, shampoo, body soap, comb, soap, electric kettle, and converter plug.
However, although there is WiFi, I couldn't connect it with my Japanese smartphone no matter what I did, and the shower room in room 2209 that I stayed in had a terrible sewage smell, which was a big minus. I couldn't stand it, so I asked the staff to change my room.
Apart from that, I think it's a good hotel for the price.
