The ladies at the front desk had great service, but everything else was just so-so. Definitely a "wouldn't stay again" kind of place."

"This hotel is my top choice when staying in the city center. Its prime location makes getting around incredibly easy, and with the airport shuttle stopping right outside, catching a flight is a breeze. The rooms are well-equipped and functional, and the staff are friendly and proactive, handling all requests efficiently. The views from the high-floor rooms are exceptional; the city lights up beautifully at night, making for a truly comfortable stay. I highly recommend it! My only minor quibbles were with one of the cleaning staff. I asked for water twice but only received it the first time. The second time, she insisted she had already provided it. Some additional training might be beneficial there. Also, due to Qinghai's dry climate, a humidifier was necessary, but I noticed some limescale inside, so hygiene in that area could be improved. On a positive note, the front desk lady was absolutely wonderful and very thoughtful. She reminded us to buy oxygen canisters in the city for emergencies."

"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel entrance was under renovation, front desk staff came to the parking lot to escort us to the lobby. The rooms initially made a good impression, but issues quickly emerged during our stay. We had booked two rooms. In the first room, the faucet pipe detached as soon as we turned on the water. In the second room, after a shower, the bathroom drain clogged, and water overflowed into the main room, flooding it. While the hotel appeared to have good facilities, it seems there were significant problems with the renovation quality. The staff were also visibly struggling, as they were constantly called upon to make repairs."

"After our trip to Qinghai, we returned to the Holiday Inn Express, and it felt like coming back to civilization. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. There's underground parking, and the room was clean and spacious. For dinner, we had 'Kaiguo Lamb' at the hotel restaurant – selected short ribs simmered in broth for 15 minutes, then dipped in sauce, which was absolutely delicious! We finished with some vegetables cooked in the same pot. The breakfast spread, a mix of Western and Chinese, was also very rich. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in mainland China, this one offered local specialties like yogurt and noodles. If I ever come back to Xining, I'll definitely choose to stay here again."
