#Ao Phang Nga National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Phang nga bay in Thailand
Phang nga bay is specially for the nature lovers, this place is really worth visiting. It's possible to get there from Phuket (Patong or other) by scooter in 1h30.
After canoeing through a mangrove forest and entering some caves, you can reach the floating village of Panyee, a real islet made of palafits, where inhabitants, all of them of Muslim faith, live mainly by fishing and tourism.

Phang Nga Bay by SEANERY
Luxury cruise to Phang Nga Bay
Go with SEANERY ✨🍃
It is another route that can be traveled throughout the year really. for Phang Nga Bay Or that many people know as James Bond Island (Ko Tapu) and Khao Phing Kan 😍
This trip, P'Jean comes with a luxury boat of 𝑺𝑬𝑨𝑵𝑬𝑹𝒀 as usual, which I personally like because it is a One Day Trip that is not tired, not tired, big boat, good service, complete activities. Importantly, the bathroom doesn't have to be crowded 🤭 There are 2 separate rooms on each side.
We set out a bit late. Arriving at the Naka Island zone, there is a stop for you to swim first. And lunch was served after this. It's a buffet style. You can add it continuously. Once full, sit and chill until you reach #Hong Island. In this activity, there will be kayaking service. that there will be villagers as oarsmen to take us to see the beauty of Koh Hong I will say that he is very cute. There is also a heart-shaped leaf cut out for us to use as a photo prop 😍
One of the last locations is here, James Bond Island, which stands majestically in the sea waiting for us to take beautiful photos. This is where I get many actions 🤭 Both Khao Phing Kan and the sandy beach at the back can take pictures from every corner. Oh, I forgot to tell you that on the island, there are beautiful products that the community brings to sell as well. Here, Sister Jeans also shopped beautiful necklaces back too 💕
End the trip well with the beauty of the sunlight before the end of the day. Don't forget to visit Phang Nga Bay zone. Think about this boat. #Seanery 💖

Canoeing at Talu Island
A tour in Phang Nga Bay will be incomplete without canoeing at Talu Island. The tour operators, who bring tourists on a long tail boat, usually halt in this place. Only two passengers were allowed on a canoe.
The canoe was paddled beneath a natural limestone cave, called Talu Caves. The paddle operator was very friendly and can speak English. It was a nice experience to went on a canoe and pass via caves while our operator showed us some of the limestones that have natural shapes and took photos for us.
If you like adventures you must try island hopping in Phang Nga Bay and choose a program like this. You can book from different tour operators that can be search online.

Phang Nga Bay - Thailand
If there is only one Phuket excursion you can do,
Phang Nga Bay has to be it! It's majestic beauty is just wonderful! For me it was one of the most magnificent place I visited in Thailand!
Phang Nga Bay is home to approximately 40 small islands that come straight out of the sea. The area is full of lagoons, caves and mangroves.
The bay is about 20 km north of Phuket Island and 40 km from the pier, where you will get in a boat. I took a speedboat day trip to 4 islands including the James Bond one. This island was in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun (1974).
Visiting Phang Nga Bay was such an unforgettable experience for me and I would love to go there again!

James Bond Island - Thailand
Address - Phang Nga Bay, Thailand (Via Speedboat)
Highlights - Famous landmark. Like it’s name shot James Bond movie! National Park! Beautiful scenic spot.
Rating - 5/5
To get there, usually people will either sign up for half-day tour or full-day tour but mostly those tours will be coming to this island as it is one of the most popular attractions.
The island is big and you can feel free to walk around and capture pictures. Near to the end of the beach, you can also see some stalls selling souvenirs.
I would say before getting back to your boat, you can be able to spot washroom so you don’t have to worry if you are in need to use the toilet.

Coming to the end of the trip here with the stories I always have to think back to this amazing time in Thailand. You know that we´ve seen a lot of beautiful landscapes, ate good food, went on adventures and met amazing people. But the things that come up to my mind afterwards at first are the small moments, that we experienced on this trip. It tells me that we have to enjoy every single moment in life more and more intense. Those things can be eating a coconut by the beach, simply to sit back and enjoy a view or good talks with the people you love. Truly a trip to remember!

I couldn’t get enough of those river structures to be honest. So I had to return. I got the advice from a fellow traveler, that there is another spot to capture those structures. So we rented a bike once again and hit the road. On that day we travelled over 130 km by bike, which was really really exhausting and dangerous sometimes to be honest. We not only came into a thunderstorm but also were attacked by an owl while biking. Can you imagine that? 🦉 I never thought of something like this could even happen haha! Nevertheless, it was amazing to see those structures again. A day to remember, again!

Rafting on Phang Na Bay is really, really exciting, for those that like snorkeling they will really enjoy themselves here. For those here on New Year’s Day, they will certainly celebrate a different new year’s.
Apart from us on the Canoe there were 2 women who seemed to be from Kenya, who were extremely tall and big and were happy during the entire trip.
At first I thought they would be relatively disorderly in terms of how they would have fun, I didn’t expect that they would be more proactive than us in requesting a canoe coach (I don’t know what I should call them, they definitely aren’t boatmen) be a bit slower. It really was too cute ~ I sigh when I think about that it was good being together with the on the canoe.
So, maybe going rafting was a big mistake. I originally wanted to go out on something stable, like a wooden raft. I didn't realize that I bought a rubber raft. I want to cry!
The thing is that we didn’t bring bathing suits, and I still took my mom along to go rafting. Do you think I’m brave? After this was over, we went to the bathroom and wrung out our clothes for 10 minutes, and it really didn’t matter too much.
After we were done rafting, we went to the “self-serve” lunch, and at this point I absolutely regretted that it would have been better to eat more at breakfast in the morning at the hotel.
Around the dining area there is the feeling of a tropical rain forest, and for those diners that eat quickly, they are able to take a walk.
Though the unlimited rafting activity is relatively stimulating, Lydia rather prefers the little monkeys. The monkey caves are not far from the rafting site, and in general any rafting course will include these.
Although we did not see the caves, there were still many cute monkeys, and at small stores on the sides you can buy bananas to feed them, but the monkeys are still really aggressive, and the speed at which they can steal food from people is really astonishing. The majority are still meek, everyone is still looking into the wrong way on the selfie stick.

🌟Highlights: Phang Nga Bay as an island scenery, can be said to be magical, because it has neither beaches nor snorkeling. And its seawater is not blue but pine green, the island style is mainly "Guilin on the sea" unique landscape, karst islands, limestone caves, mangrove sinkholes, each is full of adventure.
📌Small Tips:
1, Any water activities, need to pay attention to the sea conditions, some beaches, such as Surin Beach and others have deadly undercurrents, not suitable for water activities. In addition, when there is a red flag on the beach, it means that the sea conditions are not good, tourists should not carry out water activities. Even if the sea conditions are good, tourists should make sure there are lifeguards present before going into the water.
2, Be careful when diving, choose a reputable diving center or travel agency, and follow experienced diving instructors, use well-maintained diving equipment. If you are not feeling well, have been drinking, or do not have a dive buddy, you should not dive.
3, After a single day of diving, you should not take a plane within 12 hours, after multiple dives in a single day, you should not take a plane within 24 hours, otherwise you are prone to decompression sickness.

Thailand's "Little Guilin" - Phang Nga Bay
Panyi Bay - Panyi Bay, a "little Guilin" in Thailand (PIME-N), is a secluded and spectacular paradise located on the northeast corner of Phuket Island on the southern mainland of Thailand. Looking out, it is a one-line sky. Tabu Mountain, shaped like an iron nail, is inserted into the sea floor, about 30 meters high. Due to the erosion of the sea, the peaks are wide and narrow, with big heads and thin feet, forming a bay of landforms composed of hundreds of limestone rocks, which is suddenly enlightened in Phuket Island and surrounding areas. On the boundless sea, it stands on the magnificent sea, pointing straight to the sky, and is the most beautiful place in the scenery. The scattered islands in the bay break the balance of the sea and sky, and the momentum is high. The various sizes of islands, strange rocks, and varied scenery inject a fresh vitality into the calm, presenting a world of light green wonders. Riding a long canoe, paddling slowly on the water surface of the bay, the waves are sparkling, the rocks are fascinating, passing through the dark waterway, looking for hidden caves, the journey from Phuket Island to Panyi Bay is full of various scenery, this is Panyi Bay. There are two limestone caves, the Temple Cave (SwINS#C#) and the Hermit Cave (T), which make you feel an unprecedented sense of adventure. Nearly a hundred small and large islands are scattered on the calm and high sea, and the ship's bow is decorated with flowers or ribbons. The various stalactites and white three-dimensional Chinese ink paintings of various shapes and sizes of limestone rocks are like dancing on the waves. Along the way, there are various strange rocks and magical mangroves, and some places have curved and thin peaks and strange rocks, like horns or camels, as if people are wandering in the painting. And the long stalactites that are always surprising. The green stalactites hang from the top of the cave, or like sawtooth, each with its own beauty. Therefore, Panyi Bay is a cave in a cave, "the mountains are heavy and the water is repeated, and there is doubt about the road." "The willows are dark and the water is flowing down," just like a curtain of frozen waterfalls. Thailand is also known as "Little Guilin" in Thailand. Among them, the plain-looking islands have many movies filmed here. Here is James Bond Island (J.B.), Nail Island (K.T), and the beautiful interior. It is also one of the scenes used in James Bond's movie "The Man with the Golden Gun". Some limestone cliffs are covered with many primitive paintings, depicting famous Tabu Mountain, island stone caves, and other natural wonders that are famous overseas. Boating through the narrow gaps in the rocks, watching the unique giant rocks protruding from the calm water surface, the peaks of Panyi Bay are towering, the sea is picturesque, and the natural scenery of the mangroves and other things constitute a natural and simple figure, animals and fish, emitting primitive and magnificent beauty. Pinggan Island (K.Pa) has two mountain landscapes, and in the deep foot of the painting, the beauty of Panyi Bay is hidden. The Hermit Cave is larger in scale, with dozens of peaks sloping together in a V shape, and the peaks are connected at the bottom. The water flows in the cave, and the walls are smooth and mirror-like. Looking up at the stone wall is the most chic choice.
Phang-Nga Bay is located 75 kilometers northeast of Phuket Island, belonging to Phang-Nga Province on the Thai mainland adjacent to Phuket Island. It is the most beautiful scenic spot in Phuket and the surrounding area, known as the "Little Guilin" of Thailand.
In the south of Thailand, Phang Nga Bay is a beautiful place with sparkling waves. On the surface of the bay, which is a light green color, there are limestone peaks and strange rocks scattered all over, some of which rise hundreds of meters from the water. Many of the rock islands look like camel humps, while others look like turnips planted upside down.
Take a long-tailed boat ride (about 3 hours), shuttle through the strange island forest, witness the rugged landscape of "Little Guilin on the Sea", the steep cliffs of Pingqian Island are as smooth as a mirror, and the heroic and independent Iron Nail Island. After passing through "Phang Nga Bay 007 Island" to enjoy the beautiful scenery, you can go on an exciting "rafting trip". First, complete the pairing of two people per boat on the boat, and then take a canoe with three people per boat to visit the beautiful and brilliant Diamond Cave and the stalactites shaped like dripping ice cream. It is amazing and makes people admire the magic of the Creator. Then continue to visit the Shell Cave and Bat Cave, where the green water and white sand, strange rocks and stones surround you, like visiting in an orderly manner, making you feel like you are in a fairyland. In the evening, return to Phuket Island, have dinner at the most characteristic natural restaurant in Phuket, and then return to the Yamu Palace to enjoy SPA. The natural restaurant is just like its name, with a natural environment and Thai traditional antiques. The whole restaurant is surrounded by the breath of nature, making you feel comfortable when dining. This restaurant has the best Thai cuisine in Phuket City, plus reasonable prices, making it very popular.
