Four days and three nights Chengdu travel guide* with photo guide
🌟✈️Four days and three nights Chengdu travel photo guide starts now!
Welcome to Chengdu! To make your Chengdu trip more perfect, I have reorganized the guide. Are you ready to record this wonderful time? Let me plan your itinerary in detail for you! 📸🎉
Day1: After arriving in Chengdu, first go to the Chengdu Museum. However, it should be noted that the Fenghua Wanxiang Pavilion requires an additional 100 yuan for admission, but it is definitely worth a visit! Then you can go to Jinjiang Night Tour to enjoy the city night view. 🌃🌉
Day2: Panda Valley is a must-visit, where you can get close to the cute pandas, and there are relatively few people, which is great! Then you can visit Guanxian Ancient Town, taste authentic snacks, and get good value for money. Finally, go to Dujiangyan, choose a time with less crowd to avoid crowded people, and wait for the blue tears light show at night. 🐼🏞️🌕
Day3: Go to Heming Tea House in the early morning, make an appointment in advance, and enjoy the unique Chengdu tea culture experience. Then visit Wuhou Temple, note that there may be temple fairs recently, and it is connected to Jinli, so pay attention to the tickets. ☕🏯🎊
Day4: Visit Wenshu Monastery or Daci Temple, feel the atmosphere of the ancient temple, and receive free incense. Daci Temple is located near Taikoo Li, where incense is booming. Chengdu has a lot of humanities and customs, the city center is not too crowded, but dining queues require patience. Remember to queue up online in advance to book popular restaurants! 🍜🏛️👨👩👧👦
Finally, I have to strongly recommend Furong Guocui, which is a very authentic Chengdu cuisine, and you must not miss it! Relax and enjoy every wonderful moment, and your trip to Chengdu will leave wonderful memories! 💖🌸
Largest City Museum in Chengdu 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
If you are fond of arts and history then this museum is perfect for you. It isn't only the largest museum in Chengdu but it has the most comprehensive ancient display of history and arts that date back to 4-5000 years B.C. You could easily spend 3 hours here or more because there is just so much to learn from all the exhibition. Each floor represents different major Chinese era or period which is highly interactive and entertaining as the museum provides audio, video guides and maps. If you don't fully understand Chinese atleast there's enough English to somehow make you understand what you're looking at in every floor.
Enjoy!

Song Dynasty Life in Gold and Silver Wares
Exhibition Name: Fragrant Courtyard - Song Dynasty Life in Gold and Silver Wares
Exhibition Dates: January 26, 2024 - April 15, 2024
Exhibition Venue: Temporary Exhibition Hall on the Third Floor of Chengdu Museum
Ticket Information: Free admission by appointment
In the exhibition hall, earrings decorated with elegant images such as lotus leaves, lotus buds, and inverted lotuses are not vulgar and possess a unique beauty of wild elegance, also evoking images of their owners' graceful figures. On Figure 4, 'Gold Earrings with Lapis Lazuli in Tendril Leaf Shape,' the earrings are entirely shaped like tendril leaves, with hollowed-out plum blossom gold pieces inlaid, which are extremely exquisite. The color scheme of blue and gold is interwoven, appealing to both refined and popular tastes, and would not be considered outdated even today. During the economically prosperous Song Dynasty, wine culture was prevalent. 'The Eastern Capital: A Dream of Splendor' records that ordinary taverns greeted guests with silverware, which gives an idea of the prevalence of gold and silver wares in the Song Dynasty Truly worthy of the great Song
aurora.seraphine.morningstar The Fragrance of a Full Courtyard - The Life of the Song Dynasty in Gold and Silver Wares
Visit the temporary exhibition hall on the third floor of the Chengdu Museum, The Fragrance of a Full Courtyard - The Life of the Song Dynasty in Gold and Silver Wares.
Gold and silver wares, as precious utensils, were born in the early stages of human civilization. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, the dazzling presence of gold and silver wares carried the elegance and brilliance of an era, and they were widely popular at the time; in the long and tumultuous years that followed, they witnessed the changes of dynasties and the myriad states of society. In the Song Dynasty, which lasted for more than three hundred years, culture and economy were highly prosperous, and the humanities and arts were brilliant, creating another peak in the development of gold and silver wares.
In the vast northern lands, by the banks of the Yi River, it was an area where multiple ethnic groups lived together, and politics, military, and culture converged and integrated here. The exquisite craftsmanship reflected in the more than four hundred pieces of buried gold and silver wares illuminates the splendid secular world of an era, and also preserves the lofty aesthetic interwoven between the north and the south. The cultural integration and mutual learning of ethnic groups are like lingering images, shimmering endlessly. In the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the Land of Abundance, many invaluable buried gold and silver wares have also been unearthed. One in the south and one in the north, separated by thousands of miles, yet they share similar cultural connotations and characteristics of the times, which are powerful proofs of the broad and profound influence of Chinese civilization, outlining the graceful profile of the artistic life of the two Song dynasties with the brilliance of gold and silver.
'Markets adorned with pearls appear, and houses are filled with silk and brocade,' the prosperity reflected by gold and silver wares paints the splendor of the Song Dynasty that has stirred for a thousand years; 'Smoke-willow painted bridges, wind curtains and green screens, interspersed with a hundred thousand households,' the continuous sense of wealth and happiness has left behind the cultural pinnacle of the two Songs. An artifact, a piece that has circulated for a thousand years, reflects the social customs and the face of the times of the Song Dynasty, like a light breaking through the dust of the years, tracing back and admiring endlessly. In the golden and silver paintings, the Song people turned the beautiful life into daily minutiae, composing a picture of serenity, fairness, and overflowing brilliance, with hairpins scented with plum and cups shadowed by the moon, unfolding the incomparable prosperity of the great Song.
The Chengdu Museum on the Western Sichuan Small Loop
The Chengdu Museum, this cultural treasure located next to the bustling Tianfu Square, is like a dazzling pearl in the center of Chengdu. Although the space it occupies is not very spacious, and the crowds can sometimes make you feel a bit cramped and annoyed, believe me, when you are among those breathtaking exhibits, you will feel that it is all worth it.
Did you know? The Chengdu Museum is the only city-level museum that is even more impressive than the provincial museum where it is located! There are countless treasures here, each carrying profound historical and cultural connotations.
My greatest impression of the Chengdu Museum is that Sichuan, known as the 'Land of Abundance,' truly lives up to its name. You don't need to travel thousands of miles; just from these unearthed terracotta figures, you can feel the leisure and comfort of the ancient Shu people's lives. Imagine those terracotta figures from the Qin and Han dynasties, whether they are singing figures, laboring figures, dancing figures, or lady figures, all of them have smiles on their faces, as if they are telling us about the happiness and satisfaction of that era. This positive and optimistic spirit, and the comfortable and leisurely state of life, make me respect and yearn for this land.
It is worth mentioning that such smiling terracotta figures are rare in the unearthed cultural relics of other regions! This is also the unique charm of the Chengdu Museum, which makes people linger and forget to return.
So, dear friends, if you have not been to the Chengdu Museum yet, it is really a great pity! Why not take some time to experience the cultural atmosphere and historical heritage here? Believe me, you will be deeply attracted by everything here and linger on!

The exquisite craftsmanship and the ingenious artistry, where Eastern and Western cultures merge, are truly eye-opening! The biggest highlight is the Empress Xiaojing of the Ming Dynasty's twelve-dragon and nine-phoenix crown. The complexity of its making and the abundance of jewelry inlay showcase the highest level of Ming Dynasty's jewelry craftsmanship!

Chengdu Museum
Chengdu Museum is also a must-visit place for students. We came here as soon as the holiday started. There are quite a few people, but it's not exaggerated. It's slightly better than before and after the New Year. You need to make an appointment 5️⃣ days in advance. If you are short of time, you can choose one of Sanxingdui and here. Both are about understanding ancient Shu culture. Chengdu Museum also has shadow puppet culture. If you don't plan to leave the city, choose Chengdu Museum. If you go to Sanxingdui, you need to arrange a day's time. It's not in Chengdu city and needs to be arranged for a day. You can play with the panda base. My child went to both Sanxingdui and Chengdu Museum. Both places are worth going, but there are some repetitions. The main thing is that the child wants to go, so it depends on personal preference. If the schedule is tight, you can choose one of the two.
About tickets: Free, need to make an appointment 5️⃣ days in advance.
About transportation: You can get there by subway line 1️⃣ and line 2️⃣ Tianfu Square Station, which is very convenient.
If you take your child, in addition to the Chengdu Museum, the Science and Technology Museum, the Art Museum, and the Library are all nearby. If you are interested, you can go and see, it's within walking distance. This is well arranged in Chengdu, all together, convenient for parents who take their children. There is a large commercial plaza opposite the Chengdu Museum, which can solve the problem of eating. In short, the Chengdu Museum is in the city and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The museum has four floors and 8 halls. It takes half a day to go around. There is no need to rush, you can stroll around.
You should always visit a museum for a cross-time dialogue to feel their historical traces of existence
Go to Chengdu, don't miss this treasure museum.
If you want to understand the city of Chengdu, I advise you to visit the Chengdu Museum.
It not only records the history of Chengdu, but also has rich humanities.
Walking into the museum, the culture of each era is intertwined, which really makes me linger.
Check in at Chengbo "Fenghua Wanxiang", it's so worth it!!!
This is a "Fenghua Wanxiang" spanning the 16th to 20th centuries, with more than 300 heirlooms gathered here.
The twelve dragon and nine phoenix crowns after Ming Xiaojing, the Qing Dynasty "Fengtian Decree" gilt dot emerald dragon and phoenix crown, "First Class Decree" silver phoenix crown, the three heavy treasures phoenix crowns made their debut together.
The one of the only four Ming Dynasty phoenix crowns currently in China, the twelve dragon and nine phoenix crowns of Ming Wanli Xiaojing Empress is the first time to be exhibited out of Beijing. The whole crown is inlaid with more than a hundred natural gemstones and more than 3,500 pearls, using the most exquisite dot emerald inlay pearl gemstone craftsmanship at the time. The gemstones are evenly distributed but have different shapes, and the colors are bright and beautiful, which is the peak of the popular gold and silver inlay of various gemstones in the Ming Dynasty.

Chinese Characters Special Exhibition (Chengdu Museum)
From June 10th to the present, as an important supporting event for the 2023 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, the special exhibition 'Chinese Characters - The Civilization of China in the Square' has been on display for more than three months, with full popularity and rave reviews. For this appointment of tracing back to the source, numerous national treasures from all over the country have come to Chengdu Museum - from oracle bones that engrave history, to the vivid calligraphy that embodies the national charm, through Chinese characters, we can recognize each other, and the beauty of Chinese characters continues to be passed on...
Splendor of Diversity - A dazzling feast
Chengdu Museum - Splendor of Diversity·16-20th Century Collection of Art Treasures Exhibition, which has attracted much attention because of the Empress's Phoenix Crown from Dingling. Due to the high cost, from the excitement before the exhibition to the complaints from all sides after the exhibition, the expectations are not high. However, entering the exhibition hall, the shining jewels still dazzle people, but it's a pity that the light is too dark to take pictures. Diamonds do sparkle, but I still prefer our Chinese jewelry. The Phoenix Crown of Dingling and the crowns of two imperial edict ladies are all made of gold filigree and dotting craftsmanship, supplemented by gemstones and pearls, which is a low-key luxury. It is these Chinese cultural relics that have saved this exhibition and prevented it from becoming a déjà vu of a jewelry store. Chengdu Museum

Chengdu museum is an absolute must visit place when you are in Sichuan. The halls about their history are fascinating. We also loved the room about the puppet and shadow theater on the fifth floor.
We were lucky that day because there was a temporary exebition with the works of some great masters like Picasso, Modegliany, Van Gogh and others.

snake, some people are afraid of it, some people respect it, from ancient times to the present, it has been a mysterious and seductive existence. As a totem of Bulgari, this time, the legend of SerpentiForm, which was jointly planned with the Chengdu Museum, landed in Chengdu, the land of abundance, presenting the diverse charm of this classic image in the fields of art, jewelry and design.

The Chengdu Museum is located on the west side of Tianfu Square in the urban area. The main building is the atmosphere of the South Building and the North Building. The North Building is the main exhibition area of the museum. The first floor is the hall, the auditorium and the special exhibition hall. The basement is the special exhibition of people and nature. The layer to the third floor is Huazhong Jinguan City - the ancient history and culture of Chengdu, the fourth floor is the modern and folklore articles, and the fifth floor is the Chinese Shadow Puppet Show, which shows people the rich history of human history in Chengdu.
Each museum has a heavy human history, which accommodates the outstanding cultural genes of the Chinese nation, and walks through the long and warm land of ancient times. Every life track that passes through the mountains and rivers is worth remembering. And praise.
The permanent exhibitions of the Chengdu Museum include Huazhong Jinguan City Chengdu Historical and Cultural Exhibition, Shadow Dance, Even Play, and Thousands China Shadow Puppet Show, and will continue to introduce high-level exhibitions and special exhibitions. The Chengdu Museum mainly disseminates the history and culture of Chengdu to the public through the collection, protection, research and display of cultural relics, and strives to provide diversified public cultural services to the city.
Every floor in the Chengdu Museum is very clear, corresponding to different collections. Interestingly, there is a Wenchuang store at the exit of each floor, and it is a theme corresponding to it. The creation of the work is still pretty good.
Folklore Pavilion, the history and culture of old Chengdu, this time did not go to the People's Park Heming Tea Club, actually saw the model in the museum, the original tea house was also a social place in the past, is a place for information gathering. The top floor of the
the museum is about the theme pavilion of the shadow play. There are different shadow play works from all over the country. A full introduction to the shadow play, from the production of the shadow play to the performance of the shadow play, introduces the culture of the shadow play very carefully. It also includes an exhibition of dolls. There are few people visiting this floor. It is still scary when one walks in the stadium.
If you like museums, I would recommend the Chengdu Museum. If you have time, you can also visit the Chengdu Museum and the Sichuan Museum.
The Chengdu Museum also has a long history of building a museum. Although it is a city museum, it has more than 50 years of wind and rain. The pavilion next to Tianfu Square is a new venue, commonly known as the new museum of Chengdu Museum. It is open in 2016. The overall architecture is magnificent, the combination of steel structure and glass, the display of fashion trends, with a very high-end artistic atmosphere. The Chengdu Museum has a large interior space. There are six floors (including the basement level), which are visited on a floor-by-floor basis. Each floor has a different theme. The collections in the Chengdu Museum are also more refined.
This underground exhibition hall is a special exhibition. Saudi Arabia includes cultural exhibitions in the Middle East, mainly calligraphy and photography. It is true that some countries and regions are really like paintings. . The first floor is a special exhibition of Cuban bronzes, and the bronzes displayed here are much more beautiful. The mask bronze man unearthed by Samsung is what I said before is a bit like an alien.
stone rhinoceros, this is also a net red cultural relic. I have been in the news some time ago. It was buried under the Tianfu Square. It is said that it is similar to the stone rhinoceros of Li Bingzhi, and it has the function of the water and the beast. Specifically, it is not the same, but the torrential rain in Chengdu some time ago, so some people are ridiculous, because archaeologists have dug out the stone rhinoceros, and asked to reburi the stone rhinoceros back, it is also funny. I finally saw this stone rhinoceros today, it is really cute.
