#Concubine Ln Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Kopi Panglima
#malaysia #ipoh #cafe to visit in Concubine Lane. The aunty outside will be calling us to enter. It's a nice place to chill after tiring legs if you are walking around the city. Located at the end corner of concubine lane: 24 Concubine Ln;
I found this place bring the vibe of kampong spirit, with its tingkat and sarong decor plus the bricks and stairs. Tried their Kopi tiga negara which is super refreshing, rice noodle curry, mushroom chicken bao, prawn siew mai, and seaweed chicken for the price of RM 53.6;
Curry is rich of flavour while the dimsum is not that good. Recommend you to just skip the dimsum and try the local food and kopi here! 😋
Old Town with Aesthetic Vibes♥️

Address:
📍 Lorong Panglima, Concubine Lane, 30000, Ipoh, Perak.
This place probably one of the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. I like the design of the building around this area. Feels like living in the 80’s era. Love how this place represents the sentimental value.
It is open daily from 7am to 7pm including Public Holiday.
There were hip cafes around this area. What I can say is, a lot of hip cafe!😅 Please choose which ever you’re interested with. There also stores and a lot of interesting shop.
How to get there:
1. By car
If you’re planning to drive, that’s the best option! Traffic is not that heavy which navigating around is easy.
2. By Grab
Also a good idea and most preferred option. The price is reasonable and affordable. No hassles too. But, make sure to download the apps first, state your destination and the driver will be assigned to you. Easy😊
Tip: For an exciting time, I recommend you to have a visit during peak season (weekends or public holidays), because there would be so much more to see and of course will be crowded with tourists and local people.

Fabulous cafe near Concubine Lane
Good day in Ipoh! I had fun spending my weekend trying out new cafe around Ipoh, one of them was Fluff Cafe. It is located along the shop lot near Concubine Lane. The only problem with this area is parking spaces, especially on weekend, it’s a hustle to come here to enjoy the vibes. This area is walkable as the building and surrounding are so beautiful. Hence I don’t mind to park my car a bit far from the destination and walk there.

butter-beer in a harry potter themed cafe
📍Platform 1/2
this cafe is located at the concubine lane, ipoh. it is less than 15mins walk from KTM Ipoh.
they serves butter-beer (non-alcoholic) which i believe one of the top wishlist of most potterheads. it tastes ok, however not as good as the ones in USJ huhu
the donut is sooo fluffy i love it! muffin and waffle taste average. most importantly is the decoration, the vibes! highly recommended for potterheads~

A short alley packed with souvenir shops
#shopandtrip A great place to visit when you are in Ipoh. A lot of stall selling souvenirs and viral foods. Really recommended to those wanna try the hype of viral food. Expect to blend in the crowdedness especially during weekend/public holiday. It’s a very short lane. The foods were excellent and most of the shops sells expensive souvenirs. Most of shops use QR pay which was convenient for us to pay. No need to bring a lot of cash! Just top up your touch n go and boost or MAE. Easy peasy!
Concubine lane, Ipoh, Perak
Acting like a tourist and end up being approach by a Chinese lady for a picture is the cutest experience!
Concubine lane has so much to offer- street foods, cafes, souvenir shops, restaurants, and even hotel!
I managed to buy a cute cap, hairclips, desserts- cotton candy and raindrops cake!
And if you wonder why this place is famous, is due to the history of a tin mining tycoon, who placed his mistress at a house to live in.
Overall, this is a must visit attraction in Ipoh.

Concubine Lane in Ipoh Old Town
Ipoh Old Town is a quiet and laid back town with many small lanes to explore.
I love the architecture of these buildings here. The whole lane was decorated with colourful umbrellas hovering overhead.
There are many wall murals which present photo-taking opportunities.
It is lovely to see the old charms remained in this old town and this is a must-visit if you are in Ipoh.

Went to Ipoh with my family , it was a great trip as we discover a lot of attractions . Went to viral fusion places and gladly all turn up well 👏🏼 If you’re a fan of tomyam , please try the viral niase tomyam ( only if you’re willing to queue up for 1-2 hours but luckily we just line up for only 15 minutes 😅 ) Not to forget , a fan of dessert should try one at etre pattiserie . A must ! Haha . The price a bit pricey but trust me worth your every penny spent 🤭 For a sight-seeing or souvenirs you may walk at the concubine lane as they also sells a lot of foods & beverages from other countries/culture .

My family n I having staycation in Ipoh during weekend😀✨wow! The street literally comes to life during the weekend! We enjoy the crowded feel! And we really enjoy the local foodie so much, ie: the satay, the chendol
There’s 3 street art murals on Concubine Lane…✨The first mural scene in a coffee shop, and ✨the second one has kids jumping with joy; the ✨third one with a real-life tricycle as part of the mural.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

One of the Ipoh attraction
There's no entrance fee. I walked through the street to and fro in less than 15min and crowded! There are many shops selling snacks and souvenirs. It's a cool lane for a walk through and some photos. Lot's of food and instagramable pic area. Interesting concept. Could try the Titisan Hujan (new trending dessert)

After a satisfying and delicious food is good to have a walk at this Concubine Lane - touristy stalls along the way and with some interesting innovative snack and food and souvenir and pastries selling.
Market Lane
#celebratewithtrip
Market Lane in the old is called Second Concubine Lane, a gift from Mr Yao Tet Shin to his 3rd wife, to collect rental from the shophouses.
All the three lanes are within Ipoh old town and nearby to each others, there are not many shops along this lane, visitors come here for the murals on the walls.
These creative art pieces that will light up your Instagram feed. A coffee scene, a group of kids jumping, a 3D mural created by Ernest Zacharevic, with half a real-life tricycle as part of the mural.

Apart from the delicious food from Ipoh, visitors are also drawn to the curious sights and colorful facades of Ipoh. Among them, the mystique of the strangely named Concubine Lane.
Concubine Lane is a gift from Mr Yao Tet Shin to his second wife. Concubine lane known today as Lorong Panglima is the busiest and most visited lane.
Concubine Lane is teeming with shops and stalls, restaurants, cafes.
Apart from Restoran Wong Kok Kee, all other shops are new, some of the shops chose to be off on weekdays.
On weekends, all shops will open, the lane will also be full of people, both locals and tourists.
Ipoh Concubine Lane
Recommended to visit Concubine Lane the most famous street in all of Ipoh ,historic lane local people selling their own goods.
Nice heritage walk down Concubine Lane at Ipoh. I was skeptical to taste the butter beer at first cos it’s not cheap, but the taste is one of a kind!
CONCUBINE LANE,
#SpooktacularTrip A heritage place. You can find souvenirs and street snacks everywhere. This lane will also link you to the best nearby eateries in town. Be adventurous to walk around. Parking is a problem. I prefer to take grab and drop off. The place is full of people and its impossible to maintain safe distancing from one another. Do mask up at all times. Enjoyed looking around at this old style part of Malaysia, was very crowded but still a good place to visit. Some interesting shops and of course street art. Local musicians playing in the street was also an added touch. The Harry Potter cafe is impressive, they sure did a lot to make it feel surreal. #ipoh #concubinelane #urbanexplorer #harrypotter #planb#foodie#cafe#awesomepic#MyTripVlog #SpooktacularTrip #bucketlistreboot #tripblazers
Shop and experience post covid crowd again :)

If you are someone who loves a place with strong heritage and history, do check out the Concubine Lane when you are at Ipoh. Built back to the days of 1908, this lane is still well preserved and busking with activity.
Here, you will find many stalls set up selling a variety of items such as accessories and clothes, and even food. Would be good to spend 30 mins to an hour here minimally.
It was good to see it crowded after covid surfaced, do check out this place and support the local business here.

Old School and Vintage Style Street
Here for our short trip. The Concubine Lane. Famously located in Ipoh, Perak, whenever you come to Ipoh, you got to drop by here and reminiscing yourself through your childhood.
There are a few eateries you can find here. We went to a vintage style cafe called Laksa-Mana with P Ramlee vibes, make sure you try their Tuna Croissant and super fluffy Bahulu cake, probably the best in town!
Along the street, you’ll find a lot of stalls selling cute and beautiful merchandise with reasonable price. But what’s famous is of course their street snacks like the Raindrop Jelly Cake, Cheesy Rainbow Sandwich and lots of coffee to offer.
There are a lot of instagrammable spots as well and if you come here during weekend, you’ll probably need to take turn to get your pictures snapped.
Overall, it was worth coming here if you enjoy the fun indulging yourself in a vintage style street and to try yourself all the famous street snacks here. Will come here again for sure!#deliciousfood #foodie #cafe
Such a great place to enjoy the nostalgic evening with local delicious food and souvenirs to bring back home. Many classic coffee shops nearby.

Glow in the Dark at Concubine Lane

Concubine lane
Please don’t tell people you’ve been to Ipoh if you didn’t visit Concubine lane! This is of the the most visited place by tourists and local as well, it’s abit like the Jonker street in Melacca. There are many small stalls to shop here, eg card games, clothing, street food and souvenirs!
we bought a lot of card games here because it’s so cheap, it’s also much cheaper than buying online. We spent about 3 hours here because we love taking photos and enjoy shopping all the small shops.
You also can buy the famous local delights here for souvenirs. Save a date to come here and to eat around this area because there are also many coffee shops around with many years of business.
Concubine Lane, a tourist hotspot of Ipoh.
Concubine Lane, also known as Lorong Panglima, situated in Ipoh Old Town. It's one of the most visited lanes in the area bustling with cafes, pop up stalls, souvenir shops, and dessert houses.
The Concubine Lane is full of interesting stalls to check out, indeed a great place to explore, and also a hotspot for Instagram/Youtube bloggers and photographers. I've been here for several times, hunting for famous Ipoh's local delights and souvenirs items at the surrounding area.
