Chaozhou Han Wen Gong Temple was built to commemorate Han Yu, a writer and thinker in the Tang Dynasty. Founded in the second year of Song Xianping (AD 999), it is the oldest Korean temple in my country. Han Wen Gong Temple is surrounded by mountains and rivers. The temple records the history of the Han Temple, the achievements of Han Yu in curing tides, and the poems that praise the Han Temple. Climbing up to the Shilang Pavilion, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Chaozhou. Han Yu served as the prefect of Chaozhou for less than eight months. During this period, he exorcised evil, supported farmers, redeemed slaves, established education, made outstanding contributions to the development of Chaozhou, and won the respect and memory of Chaozhou people.
