Liubei Pond is located at the foot of Tianzhu Mountain on the north bank of the Minjiang River in Yibin City. In the first year of Yuanfu in the Northern Song Dynasty (1098), when the great poet Huang Tingjian was exiled and lived in Rongzhou (now Yibin), he built it imitating the artistic conception of Wang Xizhi's "Orchid Pavilion Collection Preface". The pool is built in the canyon of the strange stone peaks, looking up to the blue sky. On the stone walls on both sides of the pool, there are more than 90 relics of famous poems and calligraphy stone carvings in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The pool is nine-curved, 52 meters long and 0.5 meters wide. The creek flows out of the valley, and the water flows tenfold and sinks into the stone crevices. There are 8 stone benches by the pool, where you can sit around and drink with cups. In order to commemorate Huang Tingjian, later generations named the surrounding terrain as Fuweng Valley, Fuweng Cave, and Fuwengyan, and built Lihong Pavilion, Fuwenglou, Fuwengshi, and valleys outside the pond. After the 1980s, the famous calligraphers Zhang Daqian, Huang Binhong, Bao Bichen and others made 20 ink-marked stone carvings. It has been opened as a park with an area of 157,000 square meters. "Qushui Liujing" is one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Yibin.
