The room was bigger than I expected, with enough space to open two 28-inch suitcases. The breakfast was typical Toyoko Inn style, with a good selection of staple foods, and even freshly baked croissants and other pastries available in the basement (B2). They also had hot dogs. It was certainly filling, and the quality was decent enough. Compared to the Toyoko Inn at Tottori South Exit, which only offers rice balls for breakfast, this was a huge improvement. The location isn't super close to OCAT, so it felt quite a distance when dragging luggage. It was very clean, though. All in all, a good option for an overnight stay.

Budget hostel. Location is convenient. Only two stops to Namba. We booked triple room, The space is tight and small so not recommended if you bring large luggage. The beds are a bit dusty and pillows are too thin. The bathroom is clean and has many shower rooms for guests. It is on the first floor, while the toilet is on the third floor, so we have to go down and up from our room on the second floor.

I booked it because it was cheap. Many reviews said it was cramped, but the bathroom is just the right size for someone who isn't petite. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's a good hotel. It's great for solo travelers. During events like the Osaka Expo, the prices seem to be significantly higher. At that price, I can't leave a good review. The bathroom is surprisingly cramped, but the bedroom has enough space to spread out a 24-inch suitcase. Since it's a newly opened hotel, I expected it to be somewhat clean, but I'm not sure if it will be maintained over time. Also, the soundproofing is poor. I could hear chatter and laughter in the next room, and even though I was on the 12th floor, there was a bit of noise from loud cars for a while at night. Perhaps that's why the hotel provides earplugs on the first floor. There was also a problem with the shampoo dispenser in my room. When I first noticed a strange stain in the bathtub, I thought it was a cleaning issue. I easily washed it off with the shower, but the stain came back. The shampoo seemed to keep dripping from the dispenser. During my stay, I used my own shampoo and didn't use the hotel shampoo. It seemed to be constantly broken. As for service, the service wasn't particularly friendly, and I didn't experience any inconveniences.

The service was decent, but I found it quite unreasonable that Japanese hotels often have a strict non-refundable policy, even when trying to cancel 8 or 9 days in advance.

Highly recommend! Just a few minutes’ walk from the station. The place is extremely clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s very quiet, and everyone is considerate when it comes to noise. The dorm provides all the basic amenities, including first free towel. They also allow you to store your luggage before check-in, which was really convenient. The bed was comfortable and had its own curtain for privacy, plus a small air circulator in the room to keep things fresh. The steps leading to the bed were also more comfortable and easier to use compared to other dorms I’ve stayed in. The staff recommended a great udon place right next door, it was delicious and very affordable. Overall, a perfect stay!

The room is relatively large and feels more comfortable. There is a sofa, you can sit or sleep. There is a round table for easy dining. The balcony faces south and can dry clothes. If you don't bring toiletries, you can pick it up at the front desk. Although the staff did not understand Chinese, with the help of translation software, they patiently added the cover of the sofa to us. The fly in the ointment is that the bathroom has a little smell.

Great price and good value if you’re wanting to stay in Osaka for a cheaper option, very close to trains, so it’s easy to get to main areas, (walkable too) bed is a bit short, if you’re over 6 foot might be a little bit short.

MMagnus TanThe hotel was basic as standard hotels get, but it has everything you need for a night's stay. My single room had a fridge, small desk, basket with bath and hand towels, and a toilet with a basic sink attached to the toilet itself. I believe there was a hair dryer too. My bed was comfy and there was enough room in front of the toilet door to comfortably open a carry-on sized suitccase, which greatly helped with packing. The only place where I wasn't terribly impressed was the 10th floor ammenities. It had the men's shared bath and shower, as well as laundry facilities, drinks venidng machine and basic dining area, all of which were quite dimly lit. The shower was basic and I thought the floor was dirty, but the plastic material had just peeled away from wear and tear. I did appreciate the shelves next to the shower area though, could put towels and clothes. The poor 10th floor contrast very much with their beautiful recpetion and lounge area. The lounge had a large round table, with USB-A, USB-C and universal outlets running round the central hub and these were found on the arm chairs at the windows too. The baggage storage area is to the right of the front desk and it sounds like that is open to non-guests too, they were offering 1000 yen for overnight storage. Best to check with the hotel if you might be taking advantage of that. Overall, exactly what I needed for an overnight stay during the weekend when most other hotels were at least double the price, but for longer stays, I'd recommend something a bit more spacious and comfortable like Toyoko Inn or Daiwa Ryonet.

MMurahariFirst time in Osaka and Hotel Midosuji is conveniently located right next to Namba train stations for easy access to other locations. Strategically placed, step outside of property and you're already within minutes from Dotonbori shopping district. There's an in house onsen for both men and women on separate floors. The room is clean and simple with all the basic amenities. Will stay here for future visits.

DDarinDarwishThis was not my first hostel experience, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. Let’s start with the positive aspects first: The location was absolutely perfect — I don’t think you could find a better place to stay in Namba. Everything was close by, and getting around was very easy. Also, the staff were extremely, extremely friendly, and we received fresh towels every day, which I really appreciated. Now, onto the things that bothered me: First, the cleanliness: It wasn’t really clean. In the showers, there was always a lot of hair and dirt in the gaps where you enter and exit, which was quite unpleasant. During my stay, someone vomited in the public sink area, and it was not cleaned up overnight — it was still there even at 10 a.m. the next morning. Because of that, the house smelled strongly of vomit for a while. That night, and in general, there was often an unpleasant smell in the kitchen area as well. Without wanting to discriminate, I noticed that many older people were staying at the hostel (since apparently there was no age restriction). Some of them would loudly clear their throats and spit phlegm into the sinks, even early in the morning, which was quite disturbing and unhygienic. Another issue was the temperature: The room was extremely hot at night, and since so many people were sleeping in one room, the air became very stuffy. Even inside your capsule, it was uncomfortably warm. One last point: On the day of arrival, the address on Trip.com was wrong, which made it very hard to find the hostel. It took me almost an hour and a half to find it, especially because it was very hidden with no clear signage outside. I really hope that in the future, there will also be an age limit for guests.

GGuest UserFor the price, this hotel is really good. It has everything you need. The Japanese-style room even has a refrigerator and a TV and goog wi-fi. I read about bedbugs in an earlier review, so I checked every nook and cranny thoroughly. I didn't find any. It was really quiet at night. It's soundproofed enough that I could sleep until 9 a.m. without earplugs. I'll definitely be back.

MM621558****The location is fantastic, tucked away in an alley right near Kuromon Market. It's also super close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, making it easy to explore them all on foot. There's a secure entry system, and you're required to change into slippers upon entering. Check-in is self-service and quite straightforward. The common areas are a bit on the small side. The facilities are relatively new. The second floor is a female-only dormitory, and being assigned there made for a very pleasant experience. Even for someone on the shorter side, the bed space felt surprisingly roomy – not cramped or oppressive at all. And to my delight, the duvet was down-filled and incredibly soft! Everyone was very quiet and considerate. Overall, it offers excellent value for money.

BBleumcThe room was super clean and the bed comfortable, the neighbourhood was ok, a bit far from centre but has good connections. The men bathroom on the room floor didn’t have the occidental toilet, so he had to go to the first floor, that it’s a bit uncomfortable, but all the rest was good.

JJanno from ManilaAmazing capsule hotel experience in Namba worth your every yen! This place made me rethink the idea of capsule hotels! If you’re a solo traveler, this is an excellent choice - very affordable and right at the center of the action. Rooms were a bit toasty, I would prefer them cooler. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to crank up the AC as it is centralized. As expected, it is a double decker and very compact, but it has enough space for a tall guy, I’m a short king so everything was great. Each capsule has a TV and enough sockets to charge your devices. Beds were alright. You’ll still have decent privacy despite the capsule set up. This is a mostly self-service hotel. You take some of the amenities (toothbrushes, combs, etc) and they also provide you indoor clothes you can wear while inside the hotel and in the sauna, onsen and bathrooms. Towels are provided everyday or you can ask them at the counter. I like that they keep it very clean. They clean the public areas everyday. The only downside is probably the space at the lockers, so you would need to manage your clothes, toiletries, etc very well especially when the luggages fill up the space. The location was the best part of staying at this hotel. Right next to it was a 7-Eleven so you know you’re covered with everything you need. It’s a few minutes walk to the Namba MRT station. It’s very accessible and it’s at the heart of Osaka. A pretty solid 4/5 for me. I will definitely stay again when I solo travel to Osaka!
