Bali Map | Uluwatu Temple

 Bali Map | Uluwatu Temple

The Uluwatu Temple is just on the other side of the town, by the coast. The Uluwatu Temple is located on the edge of a cliff and is regarded as one of the most important temples in Bali. You only need to pay 30,000 Indonesian rupiah per adult and 15,000 Indonesian rupiah per child to visit this temple. You can enjoy many exquisite statues and traditional buildings, but be careful as you might also encounter some monkeys in the temple. These thick-skinned creatures are known for snatching tourists' belongings, so please keep a close eye on your belongings and remove any jewelry. The best time to visit the Uluwatu Temple is around sunset, when the open-air theater holds the Kecak Fire Dance every day. While watching the performance, you can also enjoy the charming sunset background.

Bali Map | Tanah Lot Sea Temple

The Sea God Temple is located along the central and western coast of Bali Island, Indonesia. Besides being an important temple in Indonesia, it also attracts many tourists due to its unique location, making it one of the most popular attractions in Bali at present. It is recommended that when planning a trip to Bali, you can combine the Sea God Temple with the nearby Sukavadi Market and Degoralang Terraced Fields on the same day. It will be a perfect one-day tour of the Sea God Temple!

The temple is famous for the Kecak dance, but the temple itself is also huge and well worth a visit.

Tanah Lot Temple is a fantastical Bali attraction that appears to float on the sea. At low tide you can walk up to it, and at high tide it looks like an isolated island. Especially at dusk, the contrast between the sun setting over the sea and the silhouette of the temple is spectacular. It is a place where the sacred atmosphere and the beauty of nature blend together to quietly cleanse the soul. There are many tourists, but it is a spectacular spot that is worth the visit.

It has a good area to just sit and relax the view. Unfortunately it was high tide, so we weren’t able to go and explore the temple.

Tanah Lot is a historic and romantic temple in Bali. Its English name is "Tanah Lot", which means "land in the sea" in Indonesian. It is located on a huge rock, which was formed by the long-term erosion of sea water and stands offshore. Whenever the sea water rises, the passage connecting the Tanah Lot to the shore will be submerged by the sea water, turning the Tanah Lot into an isolated island.

Bali Map | Ayung River Rafting

Trade temple crowds for adrenaline on the Ayung River, Bali’s longest rafting route. For 2.5 hours (~IDR 500k/$50 AUD with lunch/hotel pickup), navigate Class II-III rapids past emerald canyons draped in philodendron vines. Carved into the cliffs, larger-than-life Hindu deities and temple facades whisper ancient tales between roaring whitewater stretches. Dip your paddle gently as you drift past hidden waterfalls and iridescent kingfishers – dawn trips (8 AM start) reward early risers with mist-shrouded tranquility and possible firefly sightings. Safety note: Ideal for families (ages 7+); helmets and life vests provided at the riverside coconut-grove basecamp.

We enjoyed the tour; it was well organized and had clear safety instructions beforehand. The surrounding landscapes were captivating, with plenty of natural waterfalls. It's a great tour for beginners. If you're looking for more of an adrenaline rush, you can choose a different plan. After the tour, we were given towels, and there was a changing room where you could comfortably change and enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the rice terraces. I highly recommend it!

While strolling through the old street, I stumbled upon a handmade umbrella shop that had been open for decades. The craftsman would draw patterns on the spot, and you could choose your favorite colors and let them slowly blend. You could even inscribe your favorite little words on them. The finished umbrellas could not only keep you dry but also serve as decorative items in your home. The price wasn't much higher than mass-produced umbrellas online. While waiting, you could watch the craftsman scrape the umbrella ribs, a slow and leisurely process filled with the warmth of handmade craftsmanship. Buying one to take home reminded me of that slow-paced time every time I saw it, making it far more meaningful than buying mass-produced souvenirs.

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott in Nusa Dua, Bali 4 nights, and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, housekeeping, concierge, and all staff at the Momo Restaurant did their best to make our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed. Thank you and well done to Adi and Ulan at Momo restaurant. Their friendly and welcoming attitude made we feel comfortable during our stay. We booked a king room with a swimming pool view and the room was very spacious, modern, comfortable and quiet. We were upgraded to a premium room with a spa in the room. The swimming pool is the best in this hotel. Since Courtyard by Marriott is sharing the facilities with Marriott Garden, the guests can utilise both swimming pools and restaurants at both hotels. The breakfast was excellent at Courtyard by Marriott, where there are variety of food to choose from and the quality is above average. I like the Asian section of the breakfast the most where you can get freshly cooked noodles soup. The hotel is located 10 mins walk to Bali collection where you can find plenty of restaurants, ranges from Western, Italian, Indonesian, Burmese, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. We will certainly stay at Courtyard by Marriott if we visit Bali again.

Intercontinental Bali Resort is always consistently great. Our short stay was a delight at this property, Garden view room was spacious, quiet and had a very comfortable bed with Balinese accents fulfilling the room. Breakfast restaurant is gorgeous with such a large array of fresh food offerings. Pool and superbly maintained grounds are a magnificent attribute for this well established property, though very busy with occupancy, manages well. It is the staff of IC Bali Resort that are always so welcoming, friendly, professional and impeccably groomed, always such delightful interactions with all and very helpful in our time of need when we accidentally were locked out on our balcony, such speedy rectification from staff. A solid 10/10 and look forward to a longer stay next visit.

Adorable hotel, really lovely setting, plush gardens, two nice pools, although no pool side service available, not a big deal as pool was just metres from my room. Free daily soft drink mini bar. Huge bed, comfortable size room with all the necessities. Didn’t have breakfast but did order room service, it was good and a reasonable price. Good size supermarket a couple of doors down, many restaurants and shops outside, close to monkey forest, kekak dance place, yoga barn, and the museum/palace are about 20 mins walk. I booked a Junior Suite for 3 nights, but the initial experience was quite frustrating. The room had several maintenance issues: the main lights were broken (making the room very dim), the fridge wasn't cold, the kettle wouldn't auto-stop, and both bathtubs had faulty plugs. I was especially disappointed with the service; when the technician came to fix the leaking plug, he simply watched it fail to click into place yet insisted it was ”fixed” and fine. Guests should be able to relax rather than supervising ineffective repairs. Furthermore, the breakfast experience was poor due to many flies around the buffet area, especially on the fruit and bread. The coffee machine was also extremely slow. I was also let down by the ”gym,” which is just a tiny corner with a single treadmill and no air conditioning. However, once the hotel finally agreed to a room change, the stay became much more pleasant. The Junior Suite design is actually fantastic—having double tubs and dual TVs is a great concept when everything is operational. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable, the AC was strong, and the location is excellent, being just a short walk to the beach.

The Kempinski Bali boasts stunning architecture with strong Balinese cultural elements. It's a massive property with numerous pools! They also have a ton of restaurants, I heard there are eight! I had a bit of an unpleasant experience right after check-in – the pillows and sheets had a distinct foot odor. When I reported it to the front desk, they actually asked if all the rooms were like that! I mean, seriously? Thankfully, with the help of Ctrip customer service, I was moved to a new room (on a higher floor, the fifth floor), which was a huge improvement! The rest of my two-day stay was very satisfying! Aside from the inconvenient location for getting around, everything else was great! The breakfast spread was also incredibly rich and varied!

The room was exactly as pictured and described. The breakfast wasn't great; there was no congee with noodles, only plain congee, milk, bread, and coffee (which was decent when made fresh). The 'Seafood Carnival' was a disappointment. 🤔 It wasn't as good as the first convenience store to the left across from the hotel. That place has a huge seafood platter for just over 300, and it's incredibly fresh. The lobster and tiger prawns with garlic butter sauce are especially worth trying there. The hotel's seafood tasted like it had been frozen and wasn't very fresh, though the live music and atmosphere were a plus. The seafood platter shown in the picture is not from the hotel. What truly stands out is the fantastic service and warm smiles from every single staff member. They genuinely care, and I would definitely come back again.

The room was clean and well-maintained, though some minor details felt a bit dated, like a creaky floorboard, but everything else was great. The facilities were excellent, with 4 pools that the kids absolutely loved, a gym, a kids' club, and even a 4 PM chocolate hour – catering to all needs for both adults and children in the family. The service attitude was also fantastic; we were greeted with smiles everywhere we went. Prices were reasonable too; a dinner for two adults and one child was around 420, similar to what you'd pay outside. Best of all, no bugs! This was a huge plus for my child, who is terrified of insects. They also had daily traditional dance performances, which the kids found both entertaining and intriguing.

FAQs about Bali Map

  • Which side of Bali is the best?

Here's a guide to help you decide which part of Bali suits you best, based on your interests and travel style. South Bali: Buzzing Beaches and Nightlife. Kuta and Legian. ... West Bali: Nature and Seclusion. ... Central Bali: Cultural Heartbeat. ... East Bali: Heritage and Adventure. ... North Bali: Serene Beauty. ... Making the Final Decision.
  • What is the nicest area in Bali?

There's no one definitive best area to stay in Bali. Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta and Legian, Sanur and Uluwatu are considered some of the most popular areas to visit in Bali. Each has its own advantages, drawbacks, features, atmosphere and most popular attractions.
  • Which part of Bali is most beautiful?

North Bali is the best area for enjoying natural beauty since it has black sand beaches, cascading waterfalls, and tropical gardens, which are far less explored than other areas. Since North Bali is far from everything, it can be a great destination to feel serenity since it is a little tourist.
  • Is Nusa Dua better than Seminyak?

Seminyak Beach Vs Nusa Dua Beach? Nusa Dua Beach is usually considered to be the best of Bali's beaches and for pretty good reasons too. If you take a trip halfway around the world to a paradise island, then this part of South Bali has the softest whitest sand around.
