Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Berlin Potsdamer Platz Reviews

Hotel is in a quiet residential area. My room was clean and spacious. My bathroom was with separated shower (unlike other reviews state). I did have a window facing the train tracks but actually it wasn’t too bad and I’ve slept well. USB ports would be useful by the bed in addition to the electric sockets. The only disappointment was the TV as the signal was distorted, all the channels were pixelated and I couldn’t screen-share either from my iPhone 🫤 I think simple coffee/tea (and a kettle) provision in the room would be a nice touch rather than just one small bottle of sparkling water. Breakfast was nice with loads to choose but it got very busy (the second morning) and staff struggled to clear the tables for the newcomers as well as bring fresh food and replenish the coffee machines. I had to settle at a table with leftovers from the previous diners 🫤

The hotel is located in a quirky spot next to a linear park which is great for walking and running. Great design, comfortable bed, friendly service and extremely rich and varied breakfast.  Trip.com had not sent the payment to the hotel but they allowed me to check in anyway and the issue was fixed soon after. It was great that the staff were flexible and understanding.  I would absolutely stay there again.

I had the great pleasure of spending a few days at this hotel, and I highly recommend it! I received a very warm welcome upon check-in; the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always helpful. My room was spotlessly clean, modernly furnished, and offered a fantastic view. The bed was super comfortable, and you could immediately tell that great attention to detail has been paid. The bathroom was also extremely well-maintained and equipped with high-quality fittings.

The building is new, so the quality and cleanliness of the facilities are high. It is located in a residential area far from the city center. It is next to the railroad tracks, so you have to consider the noise. However, the unfriendly service, not the building problem, remains as a bad memory. I clearly paid in advance, but they stopped me because I tried to pay on site. The accommodation platform said that they did not confirm the payment. Fortunately, I printed out the payment receipt, and only then did they let me check in when I showed them the receipt. The problem is that they didn't even apologize. Well, that can happen. I understand that there can be mistakes. I paid for breakfast for 4 days during my 4-night stay. However, I never passed the breakfast restaurant properly. My room number was always missing. I solved it by talking about the missing room number at the reception the first day, but the same thing happened the next day. No, I paid for breakfast so proudly, but do I have to explain my situation at the reception every time? In the end, I was rejected at the restaurant on the last day because my room number was missing. I gave up on explaining. From check-in to check-out, I had to explain myself in this hotel to get the rights I paid for. I had to leave in a depressed mood from the morning. I don't want to go there again. If you don't expect service, then go.

I would like to give this hotel a bad review. The stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations in any way. The train noise was unbearable - it felt like sleeping directly under a drawbridge. You could also hear the constant rushing of water from guests on the upper floors. The staff showed no interest in our complaints and just tried to force an upgrade on us to escape the noise. It seemed as if the hotel's beautiful facade was just to mask the constant noise of the trains rushing past, which seemed to be roaring past 24/7. For the price I paid, I would have at least expected to be able to sleep in peace. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

There is no transportation from Berlin Central Station to the hotel, so you have to take a taxi. There are two sides of the oil store, one of which faces the subway tracks.......you know😫

The location is very good, in the center of Berlin, but in a quiet neighborhood. Although the subway is right next to it, you can't hear any noise. It is not far from the business district, attractions, and subway stations. The room is very artistically decorated, the facilities are complete, and the service is thoughtful. It is a good experience for tourists.

I was very positively surprised. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. The room is very nicely decorated and it was clean. There is even a kettle (also clean, not calcified) with tea and instant coffee. Great for allergy sufferers: no carpet in the room. My highlight: the breakfast buffet. There was a lot going on during my stay, but the service kept up and kept refilling everything. There really is something for everyone, very diverse, fresh and delicious. I would recommend the hotel to everyone and book it again and again.

Potsdamer Platz is a 15 minute walk away. Rooms are cleaned every 2 days. Toilet paper is not replenished and toilet buckets are not emptied. The reception was excellent and very accommodating.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham in Berlin. I would also like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. I was particularly pleased with Qais' hospitality.

Not bad, but the sound insulation is a bit poor.
