Art lovers will really enjoy this place, as it's right next to the Xiamen Maritime Silk Road Art Center, giving it a strong cultural vibe. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to get to Xiamen University Baicheng Beach, the Botanical Garden, and various shopping malls. Plus, the hotel even offers a free airport drop-off service. My room had a fantastic view, and watching the sunset over the lake was incredibly calming. The bedding was high-quality, and the gym was well-equipped. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Checked in on May 3rd, and the price was significantly higher than usual (nearly double). However, having direct access to the beach anytime makes it a great choice for families with kids. One of the boys in our group played at Dreamland Island for 3 hours, which was a nice break for the adults. The breakfast was quite rich, and the paid lunch buffet was also good. The room was clean and tidy, and we got an automatic upgrade to a sea-view room with a beautiful view.

Had a pleasant stay! The front desk staff were very kind and offered free breakfast, which was a nice touch. The outdoor environment was also quite good, and the convenient airport shuttle service was a big plus. The most unexpected highlight was the great experience at the pool. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old, but I did notice they are in the process of being renovated.

The room is very spacious, and the location is excellent, making it convenient to go anywhere. The hotel staff are incredibly warm and enthusiastic, even giving gifts to children. The facilities are all top-notch. During the May Day holiday, there were various craft activities for children to participate in, which was very thoughtful. The breakfast was abundant and delicious.

Traveling with my child, I found the lobby grand and the room clean and hygienic. The disposable slippers and toiletries were great, and they even provided children's lotion, which was a thoughtful touch. The kids' club was also quite clean; although not very large, it was perfect for an hour of fun to let the kids burn off some energy.

What impressed me most was the Le Wei restaurant. The buffet allows one child under 120cm to dine for free, which is very practical and considerate.

 The hotel is right next to the Rainbow Boardwalk and the beach, and the beachfront restaurant even has live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere. 

Overall, it's an excellent family-friendly hotel. My child had a fantastic experience and said they want to come back again.

Overall, it was pretty good. The room was clean, and check-in/check-out was efficient. A really nice perk is that you get a full 24 hours from when you check in, so there's no rush to leave if you arrive in the afternoon. There's also a subway station nearby, which makes getting around very convenient.

For this price point, this hotel offers incredible value for money. It boasts a massive 150-acre public area, which is quite rare for hotels in China. It's perfectly suited for families with children, and they even offer complimentary welcome fruit and a bedtime sweet soup. The details for family-friendly amenities are also very well done. However, the front desk staff who checked me in could use some more training, as they seemed a bit unfamiliar with the process. I also wish there were more dining options – that would make it absolutely perfect, haha!

The room had a great orientation. The fridge met my daily needs, and the front desk staff was very friendly. They even offered a shuttle service for the concert, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a very good stay. The only issue was a smoky smell when I first entered the room, but it seems to be a common problem in Xiamen as all the hotels I stayed in had it. Considering everything, it's still a great choice. It's close to the airport, only about a ten-minute drive, which is very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Portman Hotel, and the picturesque surroundings truly made our experience special. The views are simply stunning, creating a beautiful backdrop for our getaway. 

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or questions we had, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There were plenty of activities available for both children and adults, ensuring that everyone had a great time. 

We especially loved the indoor pool area—it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind while still enjoying the hotel’s ambiance. Overall, Portman Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable stay! Highly recommend it!

The environment and scenery are great, and it's close to the beach. The room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the facilities were complete. Puff's service was amazing, and they even upgraded our room type. It's close to the airport and offers free pick-up and drop-off, which was a great experience!

The invincible sea view and beautiful environment were amazing. Traveling during the off-peak season meant fewer people, making the experience excellent. There was a minor hiccup though: the first room had some equipment issues due to the strong sea breeze and humidity. However, the front desk resolved it by moving me to a better room.  On the downside, the front desk phone rang for a long time without anyone answering; usually, I had to call room service for things like water or children's slippers, and they answered much faster.  Overall, all the hotel staff seemed rather indifferent, with no smiles, and their responses to requests were just standard. The advertised special activities, like the sea-view train, archery, dry-land curling, and the small boats in the garden, were nowhere to be found. It's a large garden hotel, and I didn't explore much beyond the beach.  My overall impression was just average. However, just before checking out, a manager from the Fuzhou Haiyingwan Baixiang Hotel Guest Relations Department handled a problem with outstanding enthusiasm and excellent service. That was the only time I felt truly served and valued. A special shout-out to her!

I arrived at the hotel at 11 PM. The lobby was grand, and the service was excellent. They even gave me a free upgrade to a suite, haha! Though, since I was alone, it felt a bit too big and slightly spooky once I got in, haha. The bed was very comfortable, and it had both a shower and a bathtub, all very clean. The hotel itself is beautiful. I stayed another day, and it was very quiet with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The only thing I found lacking was the breakfast; among the four-star hotels I've stayed at in other cities, this one was just average. Since this is my first time in Shanghai, I can't compare it to others, but it's a minor flaw. It will definitely be my first choice next time I come to Shanghai. There's also a garden out back.
