The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I could ask for. The location was also excellent — convenient and close to everything I wanted to explore. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the property. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would happily stay here again. "We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel. The room and overall stay were okay, but there were a few disappointing points during our visit. Most of the staff were not very welcoming or smiling, except for one male waiter during breakfast who was friendly and attentive. We were also disappointed that the spa was not working during our stay, as this was one of the main things we were looking forward to. They offered complimentary drinks as compensation, which we appreciated, but it still did not make up for missing that experience. Another issue was the coffee machine during breakfast — the coffee was not hot even after we informed the staff. On a positive note, the reception staff gave my son a teddy bear during check-out, which was a sweet gesture and made him very happy. Overall, the stay was decent, but the service and facilities could definitely be improved."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the town hall, making it easy to walk to anywhere in the city center. Although it's a 3-star hotel in an old building, the facilities are very new, the bed is soft, and there's a mini-fridge. The only downside is that the internet can be a bit slow when there are a lot of people, but that doesn't affect my overall rating!"

"We stayed here for two nights and three days. The main advantage of this location is its proximity to Queen Victoria Market. Unfortunately, we visited around Easter, and the market was only open on the Saturday in between. Luckily, we made it on that day; otherwise, staying here would have felt a bit pointless. Regarding the room: 1. Space and amenities (a) We booked a triple room with two beds (one double, one single). (b) The overall flow of the room felt a bit cramped, with a table, luggage rack, and wardrobe. (c) The fridge provided a complimentary bottle of milk daily, seemingly for coffee. You could request more if needed. 2. Bathroom facilities The bathroom was fairly standard, nothing particularly special. However, it did have a shower screen for wet/dry separation, which kept the bathroom fresh. 3. Downsides The single bed wasn't properly fixed; any movement or sitting on it would cause the entire bed to shift. Overall, the location is still great. On this trip, I booked three hotels in different parts of the Free Tram Zone. In this area (the northern part), you can find many Asian restaurants and supermarkets, as well as the market. Due to heavy rain during our stay, we didn't venture further north to Melbourne University. Near there, you'll find the Old Melbourne Gaol and Lygon Street (Little Italy), which has many Italian restaurants that I’d highly recommend. Regarding hotel service: While the hotel offered a buffet, we didn't purchase it and opted to eat out. A minor regret is that the service here was just average. As it's an Ibis, part of a large hotel group, the prices are relatively affordable, and they handle a high volume of guests daily. Consequently, the staff's attitude felt rather indifferent during check-in or when storing our luggage. That pretty much sums it up; I'll leave the rest for others to experience."

"The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical. You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good. The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice."

"👍 The Ibis Melbourne Central Hotel's location is absolutely perfect! It's super convenient for transport, being so close to the central station and all the major attractions. The hotel facilities are new, the room is spacious and bright, and the bedding is comfortable. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic and promptly helped solve any issues. Plus, the breakfast is great!"

"Great location only two or three minutes from Southern Cross Station. Staff lovely and welcoming. Room small but comfy as was the bed. Bath in the bathroom but no plug (none for the hand basin either) so what's the point? Grouting on tiles where the shower is needs scrubbing or replacing, not hygienic. No milk in the fridge but was available from reception - BUT had to be paid for (never in may years of travel had to pay for milk in a hotel). No Hotel directory either physical or on the TV so didn't know if breakfast was still a available in the ground floor cafe and WiFi details not provided (my device located it for me) So a bit of attention to detail is needed to make this a very nice experience because it is a good hotel and easy to get to."

"I traveled to stay at this hotel with my family, which includes 3 adults and 2 children. The room size was suitable for our group. The room was clean and had a kitchen where we could cook our own meals. The location is very convenient for transportation, close to Southern Cross Station, and it’s very easy to find food nearby. In addition, if you rent a car, the hotel also offers parking for 40 AUD per night."

"The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was good. The hotel entrance is located on Melbourne Walk, which isn't very obvious but easy to find with navigation. The location is convenient for getting around. Turning left out of the hotel brings you to Bourke Street, a very lively area. Nearby, you can catch the free trams No. 86 and No. 96. It's only three stops to Southern Cross Station, where you can take the SkyBus to the airport for about 25 AUD, which is very convenient. Chinatown, the State Library Victoria, and the University of Melbourne are all nearby. Turning right out of the hotel brings you to Little Collins Street, and within a few minutes' walk, you'll reach Federation Square, Flinders Street Railway Station, Graffiti Street, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Yarra River. The area is bustling with many dining options and supermarkets like Metro and Coles."

"The location is great, very close to the city station for the airport shuttle bus. It's super convenient to get around with the free tram zone. I was really happy with the room size (surprisingly, it was the cheapest hotel on my trip but had the biggest room!). The facilities were decent, though the floor was a bit old. There was a stain on the bed sheet, but I was too lazy to ask for a change and wanted to avoid any communication hassle, so I just slept on the other clean side of the bed. What I don't quite understand is that the stain was in a very obvious spot, so the housekeeper couldn't have missed it when making the bed, yet it was left there. As for service, they only provided one small bottle of water for the entire night. When I tried to ask for more, the staff spoke English very quickly and I didn't quite catch it. I was also worried about being charged if I misunderstood, so I just gave up and bought water from the supermarket myself. They also gave very few tissues, perhaps that's just their eco-friendly approach."
