"The environment is quiet and pleasant, the location is excellent, and the soundproofing in the rooms is good. The service attitude, in particular, was exceptional; they promptly and satisfactorily resolved any minor issues. The breakfast was also very rich and delicious. The Guilin rice noodles at the hotel's breakfast were surprisingly the best I had in Guilin! Plus, having a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea flagship store right next to the hotel is definitely a bonus! 😊"

"Overall, the room was quite good. The guesthouse is a small building with lovely river views. However, the tatami room only offers good views on a clear day, but you can always go up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy them. The overall style is great, and they have a washer and dryer. My only suggestion would be for them to have a separate laundry room. The current placement of the washer and dryer feels out of place and detracts from the otherwise refined and artistic feel of the guesthouse. It gives off the impression that because it's not a 'front-facing' area, they didn't bother to organize or clean it properly. It would be much better if that area was well-maintained and they also provided laundry supplies. The owner was also very kind and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. And the BBQ place nearby is surprisingly delicious, highly recommend it!"

"The hotel is located right by Rong Lake, near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, which is very quiet. In the mornings, you can hear birds chirping from the park. It's a 15-minute walk to the free Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area, and a 7-minute walk to see the Sun and Moon Pagodas at night, where you can also take a cruise. This location pretty much covers all the attractions in Guilin city. All the hotel staff were lovely, and I especially want to thank a female staff member or supervisor at the front desk – I'm not entirely sure which she was. It had been raining for days, and after checking out, we canceled our train to Yangshuo, fearing flooding and that we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves there. She told us that since we had traveled so far, we should still go and see it, as the scenery is beautiful and it doesn't rain constantly; we wouldn't know until we got there. So, we re-bought our tickets and went. She even helped us make a waterproof cover for our child's camera, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we got there, we found it hadn't rained for the past two days, and we were able to enjoy bamboo rafting and everything. The scenery truly was breathtaking, and it was definitely worth the trip! Coming all the way from Beijing, it certainly made our long journey worthwhile. We came here in a hurry this time and didn't plan anything, relying entirely on the information and advice from the front desk concierge. Their explanations made everything so much clearer. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip."

"The Sheraton Guilin Hotel is quite renowned, having hosted numerous heads of state, which speaks volumes about its status. Its location is superb, very close to Elephant Trunk Hill, the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, the pedestrian street, and Dao Feng Bookstore, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Though built in 1988, the interior has been recently renovated, so the room facilities are very new. Upon check-in, they even gave our child a small elephant plush toy, which they absolutely loved – such thoughtful service! The best part is that we got a group deal for 899 RMB for two nights, which is unbeatable value for money!"

"If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room"

"This hotel offers exceptional service for its price point. Upon arrival, someone immediately assisted us with our luggage, and the lovely front desk staff escorted us to our room. The service was effortlessly attentive whenever we needed anything. I also have to commend the breakfast – the live kitchen cooked fresh dishes on the spot, with no shortcuts taken, and refills were prompt. We visited on a weekday, and they didn't compromise on food quality just because there were fewer guests. The rice noodles were delicious! Every breakfast item showcased local specialties while maintaining great flavor. They even had freshly grilled steaks, and the chefs were all smiles, which really brightened our day. It was very hot in Guilin in July, and my child spent an hour in the 5th-floor pool. They thoughtfully activated the wave machine for us! Even though the pool is small, it was perfectly adequate for kids to have fun, and they provided inner tubes and kickboards. The room itself was even better – we had a direct view of the Twin Pagodas. It rained that evening in Guilin, and the Twin Pagodas in the rain were absolutely stunning. I must praise the sofa on the balcony; it was incredibly comfortable! You could practically sleep on it – not those stiff, uncomfortable types of sofas, which shows real attention to detail. The room offered views of the Twin Pagodas, the lake, and the surrounding mountains in the distance; the scenery was breathtaking! This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit Guilin!"

"The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the city center, yet it's surprisingly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep! They also arrange parking, which was incredibly convenient as we didn't have to search for a spot ourselves. In the evening, it was super easy to walk to attractions like Shan Lake, the Sun and Moon Pagodas, and East and West Alley – most were just a pleasant 5-10 minute stroll away. The lobby offered freshly brewed Luo Han Guo tea, and the front desk staff, noticing we had sore throats, even gifted us some upon checkout – so thoughtful! Our room was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. While it's not a brand-new hotel, you can tell it's very well-maintained. There's also a self-service laundry room and a restaurant upstairs. The breakfast had a great variety, and the Guilin rice noodles were particularly delicious! Overall, a really good experience!"

"The hotel stay was very comfortable, and the location is excellent. All the hotel staff were very friendly, and our butler was incredibly attentive. For both nights we stayed, they offered a selection of complimentary teas delivered right to our door. After checking out, my friend's child accidentally left their smartwatch in the room, and the butler kindly helped us mail it for free via SF Express to our hotel in Yangshuo. The service attitude is truly exceptional. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Guilin! The complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel was also great. The photographer was very friendly and professional."

"The room was fantastic – spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views, which I absolutely loved. The hotel is right by the river, with a snack street just downstairs, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. What I was most impressed with was the hotel's service. There was iced lemon water in the lobby, and a complimentary afternoon tea where I could enjoy tea while taking in the views from the terrace. The staff were very helpful, bringing my luggage to the room. When I left, they even gave me a thoughtful fridge magnet, which was incredibly touching. I highly recommend staying here."
