"When getting in the room, there is a musty smell that might be from the carpet but after turn on the purifier and run for hours the smell is gone. The hotel bed is comfortable, although the room is small but the toilet size is big enough. The location is also convenient as it is in front of the train and bus station, the airport bus just drop off besides the hotel. When depart back to the airport, you just need to go down to level 1 for the bus ticket and bus. There is also a lawson downstairs, and there are a few restaurant on the lg floor which is not part of the hotel. The hotel even have adapter when to borrow as I forget mine. I forgot to put up the “do not disturb” sign on the door, house keeping come in to clean and tidy the bed, change the towel but very thoughtful as they did not move any of my stuff that are on the table as I might feel very uncomfortable if stuff is moved. The tv is working quite well, youtube all are working fine. Amenities are sufficient too, the toothbrush is so nice and I like the scrubbing towel they offer. There is also free umbrella provided that must return after use. The hotel even have a nice view on the reception floor which you can see the volcano from there."

"This was my first trip to Kagoshima, Kyushu, and your hotel's setting was absolutely stunning, offering distant views of Sakurajima volcano. The hot springs within the hotel also have excellent water quality, especially the open-air bath where you can gaze at Sakurajima. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunrise around 5:30 AM, truly experiencing the majestic power of nature! The hotel's buffet breakfast lived up to its reputation and was definitely worth the price! Plus, there's a free shuttle bus service daily from Kagoshima-Chuo Station to the hotel. All in all, it's a high-quality hotel well worth staying at for anyone visiting Kagoshima."

"I originally wanted to book the highly recommended Shiroyama Hotel, mainly to see the active volcano scenery in Kagoshima! But I booked too late. I saw that this art hotel was also said to offer good value for money. The only downside is that it's a bit far from Kagoshima-Chuo, so you'll need to take a taxi, otherwise, the bus ride takes over half an hour. The room with a view is indeed outstanding. However, the hotel is a bit old, and the facilities are a bit dated. Plus, there's no hot spring, and the only swimming pool is closed in winter. There's also an outdoor spa that requires advance booking and a swimsuit, which I unfortunately didn't bring, so I had to give it a miss. The front desk staff spoke good English. The only issue was that on weekends, breakfast was super crowded, and we had to queue for half an hour 😮💨. However, the breakfast spread was quite rich. Overall, it's not bad, especially suitable for those traveling by car."

"My stay at this hotel was excellent! 👍 **Location:** The hotel is conveniently located right above Kagoshima-Chuo Station. You can enter directly from the station, and there's a shopping mall downstairs with a wide variety of brands and dining options, which is incredibly convenient. **Facilities:** The hotel is fully equipped with everything you need, including a refrigerator, air purifier, ice maker, and laundry room. There are also free self-service lockers in the lobby, which are very handy. **Service:** The staff are very professional and friendly, always patiently helping you with any issues. **Cleanliness:** Every area, including the guest rooms, lobby, and laundry room, was incredibly clean. "It was our first time travelling to Kagoshima and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. There are no keys or cards issued for room access, and all you need is the pin code or QR code. I really like that the room has the essential items that you will need during your stay - microwave, stove, washing machine. The hotel do not do housekeeping on a daily basis but it was all good for us as they do refresh the towels everyday. They also provide a water dispenser and ice machine at Level 1. The location of the hotel is fantastic - bars and food joints are just walking distance away and there is a 7-11 at each end of the street. I would highly recommend the hotel for any travellers."

"The triple room was generally small and a bit cramped. The only plus was the shower/tub combo, and the bathroom itself was quite spacious. The toiletries provided were excellent, and the hairdryer was a Refa, with both a curling iron and a flat iron included. It's worth noting that none of the rooms offer a view of Sakurajima; you have to go to the rooftop observation deck to catch a glimpse from a specific angle. The hotel is quite a distance from the central station, which is inconvenient if you have large luggage. However, downstairs there's a food street, shopping, and a supermarket, so everything you need is readily available."

"The hotel is excellent, with great service and comfortable, well-designed rooms. It's affordable and in a good location, with plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need. It's a bit of a walk to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but you can take the tram. Plus, there are lots of great places to eat right around the hotel."

"The room with Sakurajima view was really nice and spacious. Blue skies and white clouds on check-in day instantly lifted my spirits. The breakfast selection was extensive, and there's a shuttle bus to and from Kagoshima-Chuo Station – just be mindful of the last bus schedule. There's a yakiniku restaurant right opposite the hotel with great value for money!"

"Highly recommended hotel! The front desk staff are all super enthusiastic, and I even met a lovely Chinese girl working there. The breakfast is really rich and delicious, and the late-night ramen (Yeming Noodle) was also very tasty – the lady serving it was really busy! The hot spring on the 14th floor, though not large, is very clean. I stayed in a single room, and there's an extra door between the room and the main corridor, which made it very quiet. The airport bus stop is very close to the hotel, just two traffic lights away. Kagoshima is a beautiful place, and everyone I met was so kind and helpful. It’s also been a sister city with Changsha for over 30 years."

"I stayed 5 nights in Kagoshima for a leisurely trip. The hotel has 12 floors with 4 rooms per floor and 2 elevators. There was only one staff member at the front desk, but they were very friendly. Check-in and check-out were done via a self-service machine. Rooms don't have keys; instead, you get a 4-digit passcode. **Pros:** The rooms are spacious, perfect for families, and some even have bunk beds. Each room comes with a kitchen and a washer-dryer combo, which was super convenient as I cooked dinner three times. The hotel is located between Kagoshima-Chuo Station and the Tenmonkan shopping district. Both are about 900 meters away, and since Kagoshima city center isn't that big, you can easily walk around the commercial areas. **Cons:** As many have mentioned, the breakfast isn't great. There are only five simple options. In Japan, if you don't eat breakfast at the hotel, it can be quite challenging and time-consuming to find something outside."
