Our stay at this luxury ryokan was simply magnificent in every aspect: the service, atmosphere, grounds, cleanliness, and the genuine care and attention to detail were all exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost reverence and attentiveness, making us feel like honored guests and part of the ryokan family. As Russian guests, we were particularly impressed by the thoughtful arrangements made for our comfort. A Russian-speaking concierge was provided for check-in and orientation, and our waitress had made special preparations to explain the nuances and flavors of each dish in Kaiseki cuisine to us in Russian – a truly considerate touch that greatly enhanced our dining experience. The ryokan's dedication to guest satisfaction extended beyond the expected. When we mentioned visiting a nearby museum (a mere 2-minute drive away), the hotel immediately offered us a complimentary transfer in a Mercedes S-Class. This gesture, like everything else, felt genuinely heartfelt and was provided entirely free of charge. The onsen (hot spring baths) were superb, and our room, along with the overall tranquil and authentic atmosphere, was perfect. This experience has left a profound and lasting impression; you will forever hold a special place in my wife's and my hearts. We would like to extend special and heartfelt thanks to AJARA and ROSA for their outstanding service and remarkable sensitivity to our cultural background and Russian language needs. Your efforts made our stay truly unique and deeply appreciated.

When we arrived, three hotel staff greeted us and helped us with our luggage. The whole accommodation experience was very good, with thoughtful details and a warm feeling. When we left the hotel, we sat in the lobby to enjoy the view. The manager took the initiative to serve tea and asked about our itinerary and needs. He sent a car to take us to Gora Station. I give it a thumbs up.

Very suitable for family travel!

When checking in, the hotel will explain the tourist route of Hakone. It's a no-brainer to check in and just follow the map provided by the hotel. The service exceeded my expectations. I felt like a princess returning home during my stay. I thought this was the standard Japanese service. But later I stayed in other hotels and found that the service of Gora Kadan is far better than other hotels of the same price. The room is a bit old and the shower is also very old, but it is cleaned quite well.

Second stay, the hotel environment is very good, hot spring is also very good. Meals, breakfast and dinner are rich, delivered to the room, but the barbecue and hot pot smell very strong, I proposed to eat in the restaurant, and applied several times before being approved. My companions were sick, and all the pharmacies nearby were closed due to the economic depression. The first aid kit in the hotel was not updated, and it was barely enough for emergency. The town is quite quiet, the forest art gallery and sightseeing train are still there, but they are obviously very dilapidated.

All services are very good, but I found spider webs on the ceiling, so I deducted points.

The experience was not as good as the first time I stayed there a few years ago. It might be because I chose the wrong time. The room was damp and cold. The service was average. The hotel environment was still very good, but the food was not delicious, both breakfast and dinner were not delicious.

The Japanese-style tatami room is full of experience and very clean with Japanese characteristics. The hot springs are also great. The kaiseki dinner was very good. Not to mention the service, the only flaw is that the hotel is too popular.

Advantages: famous Disadvantages: 1. I went to the bathroom when checking in. The last picture 😂 Yes, it was a spider web. I thought it was purely natural. Then when I used paper towels to clean the toilet seat, I was surprised. It was too dirty. Yes, I originally took a photo and was going to post it, but when I thought about it, it was too disgusting for the Chinese New Year (the hygiene problem is really 😂) 2. Because the private hot spring in the room is not big enough, I made a reservation for a family bath (an open-air bath that is larger than indoors). Well, the stone pool is a bit slippery and needs to be cleaned (if the hot spring stone pool is clean enough, it will not be slippery) ) 3. We went to the large public bath, thinking that the large public bath should be more unique, but it turned out that we overestimated it 😂 There is only an indoor pool and an outdoor pool in the large public bath, both of which are relatively small. The indoor pool is a round pool, which is similar to Shenzhen The bathhouses in public bathing centers are almost the same, some are bigger than here), and the outdoor ones are also super small and full of people. My son went to the men's bath and said he didn't want to soak in the big bath because there were too many people. Small! 4. Then we went back to the room and took a bath. After taking a bath, we discovered that they didn’t provide body lotion. If you want to moisturize your skin, you have to go to the large bath. Yes, the bathroom in the room looks like a domestic three-star hotel or a very old five-star hotel. The countertops do not have various body, face and head skin care products like other Hakone hotels. 6. I really want to go back to "Xuan" and check all major travel booking platforms. However, "Xuan" is already full and I want to cry. 7. After staying at Hakone Ginyu, Hakone Gen, Tenyu, Gora Cuisine Sukumian, Hakone Gokutei, etc., I finally tried the hotel known as the best in Hakone Gora. This and this [Shame R] [Shame R] [Shame R] 8. Then it was dinner. When the dinner started, my son asked me, would you like to introduce the kaiseki menu to us during the meal? I looked at it and folded it in the corner. The female general didn't bring it over to tell us. She also brought the dishes and left them here. Then my son asked, why is there no water? Don’t every place have water and food explanations for kaiseki in the evening? Will ask me what to drink, I want ice water [embarrassing] Yes, the female general left, like a lovelorn, no food explanation, no smiling face, no asking if I need to drink water, not to mention Japanese-style kneeling service, this For the price, I recommend Hakone Gora Genbin. It feels like home and I will go there again!

This hotel is impeccable in terms of service, facilities, food and location. The hotel's two meals included are very good! The waiters will remember each guest and their needs and preferences ~ they will take the initiative to help guests who do not have a private bath in the room to reserve a private bath ~ the hot spring ♨️ is also really great ~ if I can book it next time, I will come again!

During the epidemic, I missed the beautiful scenery and blue sky of Hakone so much. I had been thinking about the hotel for three years, and finally booked a room three months in advance before the National Day trip. The hotel is rated 5 points because there is no 10-point option. The hotel environment and services completely exceeded expectations, and it was worth the price. I experienced the thoughtfulness and perfection of Japanese service. There are mostly European and American guests in the hotel, and there is no barrier to English communication with the staff. It is a 3-minute walk from Gora Station, and within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach Gora Park and the Sculpture No Mori Museum of Art. But contact the hotel in advance, and the hotel will thoughtfully arrange a pick-up and drop-off. The hotel environment is impeccable and the design is full of design. It is worthy of being the work of a master, and it looks great every time you take a photo. The kaiseki dinner was just average, not particularly amazing. The only drawback is that the room we stayed in was on the first floor and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell from the shower drain at night.

It was a great experience. I booked both the Flower Garden and the White Sandalwood. Personally, I don’t think the White Sandalwood is as good as the Flower Garden. Of course, I have to book the one with a private hot spring on the first floor. But in fact, I think the essence of Japanese hot springs is not the hot spring in the room, but this I didn't have a chance to go to the public bath for the first time. Of course the price is here...

It is really perfect in all aspects, but the price/performance ratio is not high. But if you come here, price/performance should not be a factor to consider.
